Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media permainan kartu gambar dengan teknik make a match yang layak bagi peserta didik dan mengetahui efektifitas media permainan kartu gambar pada pembelajaran tematik-integratif dengan teknik make a match untuk peserta didik kelas 1 SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Pengembangan dilakukan mengacu pada model pengembangan Dick dan Carey. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 1 SD N Percobaan 3 Pakem tahun ajaran 2013/2014 yang terdiri dari 9 orang peserta didik kelas IB pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 29 orang peserta didik kelas 1A pada uji coba kelompok besar. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan menunjukkan media permainan kartu gambar dengan teknik make a match pada pembelajaran tematik-integratif layak digunakan dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”.Uji coba kelompok kecil hasilnya adalah mendapat respon yang positif dengan kriteria “Baik”. Uji coba kelompok besar digunakan untuk menguji keefektifan dan kepraktisan penggunaan produk. Keefektif-an ditinjau dari hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan ada perbedaan rata-rata 81,41 menjadi 85,12. Ada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai sigifikansi sebesar 0,001 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,005. Kepraktisan penggunaan media ditinjau dari hasil observasi guru diperoleh persentase 95% dan hasil observasi peseta didik diperoleh 88,75% dengan masing-masing kriteria kepraktisan sama yaitu “Sangat Praktis”. Kata Kunci: Media permainan kartu gambar, Make a match, Tematik-integratif.  DEVELOPING PICTURE CARD GAME MEDIA WITH MAKE A MATCH TEHNIQUE FOR FIRST GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLAbstract The aims of this research are to determine picture card media with make a match tehniques suitable to students and determine the effectiveness of picture card game media to the thematic-integrative learning with make a match technique for students class 1 Primary School. Type of this research is the research and development. Development is done referring to Dick and Carey model of development through 9 stages. Subjects research trial was students class 1 Primary School Percobaan 3 Pakem 2013/2014 school year consisting of 9 students from class 1B on a small group test and 29 students in the class 1A on a large group test. The results of experts, assessment showed picture card game media with make a match on techniques of make thematic-integrative learning fit for use with “excellent category”. Small group trial get positive respond as “good criteria”. Big group trial tested effectiveness and product-used practicality. Effectiveness in terms result of student study showed different mean 81.41 become 85.12. Any increased result of student study showed significance value 0,001 with taraf significance 0,005. Practicality of media-used showed from teacher observation results obtained percentage of 95% and the observation of the students obtained 88.75%, respectively with the same practicality criteria, namely "Highly Practical". Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran tematik-integratif siswa kelas IV SDN di Kecamatan Ujung Kota Parepare. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 4 SD di kecamatan Ujung Kota Parepare yang telah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 dan untuk menentukan sampel digunakan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent-groups Pretest-Posttest Design. Kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas IV SDN 44 Parepare (n=25) dengan pendekatan RME dan kelas kontrol yaitu Kelas IV SDN 22 Parepare (n=24) dengan pendekatan konvensional. Menggunakan tingkat signifikansi α = 5% dapat disimpulkan bahwa: pembelajaran tematik-integratif dengan pendekatan RME berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa SD dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik-integratif biasa (konvensional) karena siswa berperan aktif dalam kesuksesan pembelajaran, siswa tidak menjadi pasif dan tidak hanya mendengarkan materi yang diajarkan. Kata Kunci: pendekatan RME, motivasi belajar, prestasi belajar   THE EFFECTS OF RME APPROACHES ON MOTIVATION AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS THROUGH THEMATIC-INTEGRATIVE LEARNING Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) on motivation and academic achievement through integrative thematic learning among fourth grade students of elementary school in Ujung Parepare District. The population was 4th in the district Ujung Parepare that have implemented the 2013’ curriculum and to determine the sample used simple random sampling technique. This study was a quasi-experimental research design, with nonequivalent pretest-posttest - groups design. The experimental class was students of class IV SD Negeri 44 Parepare (n=25) and control class was students of class IV SD Negeri 22 Parepare (n=34). Using a significance level α = 5 % can be concluded that: Thematic-integrative learning approach Realistic Mathematic Education has significant effect on motivation and academic achievement in elementary school than conventional usual thematic learning-integrative because students play an active role in the success of learning, students do not become passive and are not just listening to the material being taught. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendapatkan bukti-bukti otentik implementasi pendekatan saintifik, (2) Menilai kesesuaian pendekatan saintifik. (3) Menemukan faktor-faktor penghambat dan pendukung implementasi pendekatan saintifik pada pembelajaran  IPS di middle grade SD Tumbuh 3 Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan desain studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Implementasi pendekatan saintifik meliputi sudah sesuai kurikulum dan, pelaksanaan sesuai tahapan pendekatan saintifik, penilaian belum sesuai penilaian otentik, tindak lanjut sudah sesuai. (2) Penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada pembelajaran IPS untuk siswa middle grade sesuai dengan perkembangan berfikir dan proses belajar siswa. (3) Faktor pendukung pendekatan saintifik adalah: kepala sekolah, guru yang profesional, iklim sekolah yang kondusif, sarana dan prasarana yang lengkap. Faktor penghambatnya adalah: sistem penerimaan siswa tidak transparan, ada beberapa peserta didik belum bisa membaca dan menulis, instrumen penilaian tidak sesuai, dan jam pembelajaran yang terbatas dan guru tidak membatasi bobot cakupan materi sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan berpikir siswa.Kata kunci: implementasi, pendekatan saintifik, middle grade, IPS IMPLEMENTATION OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACH IN SOCIAL STUDIES INSTRUCTION AT MIDDLE GRADE OF SD TUMBUH 3 KOTA YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis study aims to: (1) Getting authentic proof of scientific approach implementation (2) Asses the scientific approach appropriateness in social studies, (3) to find some factors that become the barriers and the proponents of the scientific approach implementation in social studies instruction in middle grade. This study is a qualitative research which uses case study design. The results of this reasearch are as follows: (1) The scientific approach implementation ranges from, the planning aspect has already been appropriate, the implementation aspect has already been good, the assessment aspect has not been appropriate to the approach used, the follow-up aspect has been carried out based on the students' need. (2) Scientific approach in for middle-grade age has already been appropriate,(3) The supporting factors are: a good headmaster, professional teache, The conductive school climate, the complete facilities and infrastructures. The inhibiting factors are: the non-transparent admission system, students who have not been able to read and write, the inappropriate assessment, and  limited schedule of social studies the teacher do not limit the range of Social Studies material based on student’s cognitive development stage.Keywords: implementation, scientific approach, middle grade, social studies

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar dan instrumen penilaian IPA tema “Indahnya Negeriku” buku guru dan buku siswa kelas 4 Kurikulum 2013 yang layak dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. terdiri atas sembilan tahap, yaitu: (1) studi pendahuluan ,(2) perencanaan,(3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba awal, (5) revisi untuk menyusun produk utama, (6) uji coba lapangan,(7) revisi untuk menyempurnakan produk hasil uji coba lapangan,(8) uji pelaksanaan lapangan, dan (9) revisi produk final. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. (1) Kelayakan penilaian ahli materi belajar IPA dengan kriteria Sangat Baik, uji coba terbatas dengan kriteria Sangat Baik dan uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan dengan kriteria Sangat Baik, hasil penilaian ahli Instrumen Penilaian IPA dengan kriteria Baik, uji coba terbatas dengan kriteria Sangat Baik dan uji coba pelaksanaan lapangan dengan kriteria Sangat Baik. (2) Efektifitas produk pengembangan perhitungan gain score mengetahui aspek pengetahuan (knowledge) diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori Tinggi, sedangkan aspek sikap (atittude) dan keterampilan (skill) dengan observasi menunjukan hasil yang positif.Kata kunci: pengembangan, bahan ajar, Instrumen Penilaian IPA, Kurikulum 2013. DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MATERIAL AND SCIENCE ASSESSMENT OF INSTRUMENTS ON THE THEME MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY THE FINALIZATION OF TEACHER BOOK AND STUDENT CURRICULUM 2013AbstractThis study aims to produce learning material and Science assessment of instruments on the theme “My beautiful country” for the Finalization of Teacher Book and Student Book Grade 4 of Curriculum 2013 which is suitable and effeetive. This was a research and development (R D) study consisting of nine stages, namely: (1) preliminary studies, (2) planning, (3) early product develop-ment, (4) early trials, (5) revision to draft the main product, (6) field tryout (7) revisions to enhance the results of field trials of products, (8) field impelementation testing and (9) revision of the final product.The results show (1) It is shown on the assessment of the feasibility study materials science experts which obtained an average value of 4.44 with the criteria Very Good, limited trial gained an average value of 4.53 with the criteria Very Good and piloted the field obtained average values 4.80 with criteria Very Good, whereas the results of expert assessment of Science assessment of instruments obtained an average value of 3.92 with the criteria Good, limited trial gained an average value of 4.33 with the criteria Very Good and piloted the field with an average value 5 with the criteria Very Good. (2) The effectiveness of the product development is shown in the calculation of the gain score to know the aspects of knowledge that obtained an index gain of 0.80 with High category, while aspects of attitude and skills with observation show positive results.Keywords: development, learning material, science assessment of instruments, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

The study aims to (1) produce a integrative thematic learning module with PBL model which is viable, and (2) determine the effectiveness of the module towards the independent learning and learning outcomes of year five students of SD Negeri Pudjokusuman 1 Yogyakarta. This research was research and development. The subjects were teachers and students of year five students of SD Negeri Pudjokusuman Yogyakarta. Data analysis technique used paired sample t-test  and independent sample t-test with significance level of 0.05. The results of this study are (1) an appropriate integrative thematic learning module with problem based learning model. The proof of feasibility of the product is based on the test results of matter experts, the media experts test, the response of the teachers, and the response of the students. (2) The result shows that the developed module is effective to improve student’s independent learning and learning outcomes. It is based on the results obtained in the field trials showing p 0.05 in cognitive learning outcomes and independent learning. Futhermore, based on the observation results student’s in affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of the students in experimental class have a higher percentage than of the control class.

Abstract

This research aimed (1) to produce a suitable illustrated story book in improving the students' reading skill and learning motivation, and 2) to know the effectiveness of the illustrated story book media for the beginning reading skills and learning motivation of the first grade students of SD Negeri Timbulharjo Sewon Bantul. The research method used was research and development (RD) which referred to the 10 steps developed by Borg and Gall (1983) and the determination of the number of subjects refers to the opinion of Dick and Carey (2005). The subjects of the try out were the first grade students of SD Negeri Timbulharjo 1 Sewon Bantul. The data were collected by using interview, observation, scale, performance test and worksheet. The techniques of analyzing data employed on this research were need analysis, the feasibility study media, and analysis of effectiveness of media. Normality test used using Shapiro-Wilk because data less than 50. The result of the research was (1) a set of illustrated story book media that fulfilled the feasibility based on validation by a material expert and a media expert, and teachers’ and students’ response which was in very good category; (2) the developed illustrated books media were effective to improve the beginning reading skills and students’ learning motivation. Beginning reading skills and students’ learning motivation increased significantly based on paired t-test with probability score (p) 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce thematic integrative learning modules based on sociocultural background feasible to increase student’s learning motivation and critical thinking, and (2) determine the effectiveness of the integrative thematic learning module. This research was included in the type of research and development (R D). Development procedures in this study adapting development procedures developed by Borg and Gall with steps, namely: (1) a preliminary study, (2) planning, (3) the design of the product, (3) field trials beginning, (5) the revision of the results of the initial field trials, (6) the main field trials, (7) the revision of the main results of field trials, (8) operational field trials, (9) the improvement of the final product. The subjects of the trial are fourth-grade students Jejeran, Bantul. The results show that (1) the integrative thematic learning module based on sociocultural background feasible according to media experts and subject matter experts with category ratings "very good". (2) The integrative thematic learning modules based on the sociocultural background is effective to improve student’s learning motivation and critical thinking. It is based on the results obtained by operational field trials p 0.05, which means that there are significant differences on motivation to learn and critical thinking of students who take the learning of the module and who do not use the learning module.

Abstract

This research aimeds to find out (1) the effect of interactive multimedia on the learning interest, (2) the effect of interactive multimedia on the learning achievement, (3) the different effect of interactive multimedia and image media on the learning interest and learning achievement of grade IV students of elementary schools in Wonosari Gunungkidul. This research was a quasi experimental. The design which was used was pretest-postest control group design with two experimental groups taught by using interactive multimedia and one control group using the image media. The data analysis used the paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The result of the research showed that: (1) there was an effect of interactive multimedia on the learning interest at the significance level of 0.000 0.05, (2) there was an effect of interactive multimedia on the learning achievement at the significance level of 0.000 0.05, and (3) the big different effect of interactive multimedia and image media on the learning interest and learning achievement was the learning interest with the gained score 10.412 for the experimental class 1 and 13.004 the experimental class 2, and the learning achievement with the gained score 8.703 the experimental class 1 and 6.810 the experimental class 2.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) describe emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, altruism, and teachers’ performance who teach in inclusion elementary schools of Karanganyar District, and (2) determine the effect of emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and altruism on teachers competence who teach in inclusion elementary school of Karanganyar District. The research was quantitative research using the ex-post facto method. The results of the study show that: (1) teacher’s emotional intelligence is at the medium category, while self-efficacy, altruism, and teachers competence who teach in inclusion elementary school of Karanganyar District are in high category; (2) there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence with the teacher’s competence, with a value of r = 0.560 (r 0,244 ),  there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy with teacher’s competence with a value of r =0.535 ( r 0.244), there is a significant relationship between altruism with the teacher’s competence, with a value of r = 0.711 (r 0.244 ) and there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and altruism with the teacher’s competence, with a value of F = 39.742 (F 2.76). Therefore, it concluded that higher emotional intelligence, and altruism the higher the teacher’s competence.

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal: (1) the effect of PBL on the achievement motivation; (2) the effect of PjBL on the achievement motivation; and (3) differences of achievement motivation between the group taught using PBL and the group taught using PjBL. This study was a quasi experiment with the nonequivalent commparison group design. The population was grade V students of SD Negeri Lempuyangwangi in academic year 2016/2017. The data analysis used t-test and Univariate Analysis of Variance at the significant levelof 5%. The result are as follows: (1) PBL improved positively and significantly on theachievement motivation; (2) PjBL improved positively and significantly on theachievement motivation; and (3) there is a significant difference on theachievement motivation between the group taught using PBL and that taught using PjBL.
