The aim of this research is to know the influence of coopertive learning type Number Head Together (NHT) towards student’s mathematical problem solving ability. NHT is a cooperative learning model which numbering as its characteristic, where each students have the same opportunity to present their discussion result so each groups have to ready and taking responsibility if their number are called. This quasi experimental research uses posttest only control group design. A population of this research is all the eighth grade students of odd semester in Junior High School State 3 Pakuan Ratu in academic years 2012/2013, that consits of 59 students which are distributed into two study groups with mathematical ability in the same level. The samples are student class of VIII A and VIII B which are obtained by using total sampling technique. The data collecting technique of this research is an essay test. According to the hypothesis testing, it is concluded that NHT have not influence towards student’s mathematical problem solving ability.Keywords: influence, problem solving, mathematical problem

This is a quasi experimental research which aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model-group investigation type toward student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. Posttest only control design was used in this research. The population was all of eighth grade students in Al Azhar 3 junior high school, Bandarlampung, school year 2012/2013. Sample of this research was student of VIIIB and VIIIC class that was determined by purposive random sampling technique. The data research was quantitative data that was acquired by student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics test. Based on data analysis, it is conclude that group investigation-learning model affect student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Keywords: Conceptual Understanding of Mathematics, Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation

This quasi experimental design aims to know the effectiveness of problem posing approach in towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding skill. Problem posing approach is an approach in mathematics learning which students are asked to formulate, form, and ask some questions or problems by creating some similar problems to the questions given by the teacher or to the situation provided. The research design is posttets only control group design and the population is the students of 8th grade even semester of SMPN 22 Bandar Lampung academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are students in class VIII-H and VIII-G that are determined by purposive sampling technique. The kind of data of this research is quantitative which it is in the form of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding score that is aqcuired by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on research results, it is concluded that problem posing approach is effective in towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding skills (in circle concepts), a case study in 8th grade students of even semester Junior High School State 22 Bandarlampung in Academic Years 2012/2013.Keywords: Effectiveness, Problem Posing, Conceptual Understanding

The design of this research was posttest only control group design. The population of this research was all eighth grade students of Junior High School State 22 Bandar Lampung in Academic Year 2012-2013. Sample of this research were VIIIB and VIIID that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data research was quantitative data that was acquired by student’s mathematical communication ability test. This research is quasi experimental design which to know the effectiveness of learning by open-ended approach considered by student’s critical thinking skill. The population of this research was all students of tenth grade on science program except students of excellent class students of Senior High School State 1 Way Jepara in academic years 2012/2013, which are distributed in four class. Sample of this research was students of X Science 2 and X Science 3 that was determined by purposive random sampling technique. The design of this research was posttest only control group design. The data in this research was quantitative data that was acquired by student’s critical thinking skill test which formed essay test. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that learning of open-ended approach is effective considered by student’s critical thinking skill.Keywords: critical thinking skill, effectiveness, open-ended approach

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes, a case study in 8th grade students of even semester Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013. A population of this research is all 8th grade students of Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013 that is distributed into seven classes. The samples are two classes that are obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Based on hypothesis testing results, it is concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type NHT has influence towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes . It is showed that students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in cooperative learning model type NHT is higher than students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in conventional learning.Keywords: NHT, interest, learning outcomes

This quasi experimental research aim to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model two stay two stray type toward student’s mathematical concept understanding. This research design is post-test only control design. Population in this research is students of 8th grade in SMP Negeri 3 Tulang Bawang Tengah 2012/2013 year. The sample of this research is students of 8A and 8B class which is taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data research is obtained from student’s mathematical conceptual understanding test. Population in this research was seventh grade students in Junior High School State 10 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013 that is consist of five classes. The sample were VII C and VII D class choosen by using purposive sampling technique. This research uses posttest only control group design. The data of this research were obtained through student’s mathematical conceptual understanding test. This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model type of student teams achievement division (STAD) towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding The design research was post-test only control group design. The population of this research was eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013. The samples of this research were students of VIII D and VIII I class that obtained by purposive sampling. The collecting data technique was using test. Based on result of research, obtained that the average of value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding using cooperative learning model of STAD type is greater than using conventional learning. Thus, cooperative learning model of STAD type have influence of towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of eighth grade students in even semester of Junior High School State I Kotabumi in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dan VIII I yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih besar dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, pengaruh, STAD

This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type TPS towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population is eight grade students of state junior high school 10 Bandar Lampung in academic years 2012/2013 that consist of 270 students and distributed into six classes. The samples are students of two classes that are choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The research uses a posttest only control design. The instrument of this research is essay test of mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on data analysis results by using t-test, it is concluded that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding with cooperative learning model type TPS is better than conventional learning.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun ajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 207 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam 6 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa pada dua kelas yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal pemahaman konsep yang berbentuk esay. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan uji-t disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik dari siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif, pemahaman konsep matematis, pengaruh, think-pair-share
