Abstract

The objective of this research was knowing the influence of  using group investigation learning model toword students activity and students learning result. The research designs were non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in X1 and X3 class that was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the students learning activity improve, they were teamwork (78.16), observation result presentation/group discussing (80.46), asking question (65.52), and creating conclusion (77.01). The students learning outcomes also develop, with N-gain average score was 56.91. It was mean, that using group investigation as the learning model influenced the improvement of students learning activity and students learning result in contamination and preservation of environment material.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X3  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu bekerjasama dengan teman (78,16), mempresentasikan hasil penyelidikan/diskusi kelompok (80,46), mengajukan pertanyaan (65,52), dan membuat kesimpulan (77,01). Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 56,91. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran group investigation berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pencemaran dan pelestarian lingkungan.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, group investigation, hasil belajar

Abstract

This research aimed to describe how the teacher’s profile in teaching of science in class IV Rajabasa elementary school. Subjects were six teachers that teaching science for four class from Rajabasa elementary school using purposive sampling technique. Data was qualitative data that was obtained from description of teacher’s teaching process. Data analysis was obtained from observation sheet of teaching process. The results showed that all of the teacher teaching of science didn’t suit well on process standard, scientific approach, and constructivism with teacher’s value average 47%, 33%, and 33%. It was obvius that teachers of class IV teaching on science didn’t suit well on process standard, scientific approach, and constructivism. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil guru dalam pembelajaran IPA pada kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Rajabasa. Subjek penelitian adalah enam guru yang mengajar IPA kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Rajabasa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis data penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari deskripsi proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru. Analisis data didapat dari lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua guru melakukan pembelajaran IPA yang kurang sesuai dengan standar proses, pendekatan saintifik, dan konstruktivisme dengan persentase skor rata-rata 47%, 33%, dan 33%. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran IPA yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas IV Sekolah Dasar kurang sesuai dengan standar proses, pendekatan saintifik, dan konstruktivisme. Kata kunci : konstruktivisme, pembelajaran IPA, pendekatan saintifik, profil guru, standar proses

Abstract

Rational thinking skill is one of the result learning demand which should be owned by each student. The result of observation in class VIII of Junior High School 19 Bandar Lampung was known that student’s rational thinking skill didn’t develop in an optimal fashion yet. Objective of this research is have cognize of efectivity of using biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-postest non equivalent group design. Samples of research are student class VIII G and VIII H which are chosen by cluster random sampling. Quantitative datas are obtained from average of pretest, posttest, and N-gain which are analyzed statistically using t-testand U-test in 5% confidence degrees through program of SPSS 17. Qualitative datas include student’s learning activities and conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description.. Result of research shows that largely student give positive conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type. But then, this case isn’t in line with learning result was gotten by student. The average of student’s rational thinking skill improvement in class experiment is lower than control (experiment=14,63%; control=22,59%). Beside that, percentage average of improvement of student’s activities in all observed aspects in class experiment is also lower than control (experiment=66,67%; control=79,17%). Thereby, using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type isn’t effective to enhance of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description. Keywords: Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type, rational thinking skill, Plant Tissue Structure and Function.

Abstract

This study implemented LSQ strategy which were to find out the influence of the LSQ strategy to the students’ mastery. The design was  pretest-postest non-equivalent which used cluster random sampling. The study was held on SMPIT Baitul Muslim at VIIA as control class and VIID as experiment class. N-gain was obtained from pretest and posttest score which was analyzed by using t test and U test (Mann Whitney Test) at SPSS 17. The result of this study showed that the avarage students’ score, which was taught by LSQ, increased from 53,33 to 69,63 which indicated the increase about 16,30%. This study also showed the increase students’ material mastery at the experiment class higher than the control class with average N-gain 33,53 at experiment class confidence rate about 95%.Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi LSQ dalam pembelajaran untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan strategi LSQ terhadap penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Penelitian ini meggunakan desain pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol dan VIID sebagai kelas eksperimen pada SMPIT Baitul Muslim. Pemilihan sampel secara cluster random sampling.  Data penelitian berupa nilai penguasaan materi oleh siswa yang diperoleh dari tes awal dan tes akhir, kemudian dicari N-gain dan  dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U (Mann Whitney Test) melalui program SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata penguasaan materi oleh siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 69,63 meningkat sebanyak 16,30% disbanding rata-rata sebelumnya sebesar 53,33. Pada penelitian ini juga menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan penguasaan materi siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain 33,53 pada taraf kepercayaan sebesar 95%. Kata kunci : ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, learning start with a question, penguasaan materi

Abstract

Studying-result is the final aim on learning process which is closely related to the on field-studying. Observations in VII Grade of Public Junior High 2 Jati Agung shows low on result and activity of learning. This research was aimed to know the influences of Bamboo Dancing. The design was equivalen control group. This research's data was quantitative and qualitative. The sample was Class VIIA and VIIB which selected by cluster random sampling. Quantitative data obtained average value of the pretest, posttest and N-gain on Life Organization matter.  Qualitative data obtained percentage average of students activities and responses of using Bamboo Dancing was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that Bamboo Dancing increasing the activity of the student with good criteria which is on 76.62% , it is also evident from the increase observed for all aspects. The Study-result from the experiment class is increasing too, with N-gain average (0.154) shows the high criteria. Besides, all of the student gave positive response to the Bamboo Dancing . Thus, it can be concluded that the uses Bamboo Dancing is influential in increasing the Study and activity result.Key words: bamboo dancing, life organization, student study results and learning activity.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill by the use of school environment. This research used pretest-posttest non-equivalent research method. Samples were class VII3 and class VII4 and they were taken using purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest and N-gain, and they were processed using tests of normality, homogeneity, t1, t2, and U. The qualitative data were students’ learning activities and questionnaires of students’ responses and they were processed descriptively. The results showed that the use of school environment could improve student’s critical thinking skill. This could be seen from N-gain 67.91 that was higher and different significantly and 80.21% students’ learning activities. The aspect of cooperation with classmates was the highest activity of students. In addition, most of students (±65%) expressed positive responses. The conclusion is that the use of school environment could improve the students’ critical thinking skills and students’ learning activities at ecosystem subject material. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-postest non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII3 dan VII4 dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, dan N-gain diolah menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, t1, t2, dan U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa diolah secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dilihat dari N-gain 67,91 lebih tinggi serta berbeda signifikan dan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 80,21%,  aspek bekerjasama dengan teman merupakan aktivitas tertinggi dari siswa. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (±65%) memberikan tanggapan positif. Dengan demikian pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem.Kata kunci  :  ekosistem, keterampilan berpikir kritis, lingkungan sekolah, sumber belajar.

Abstract

Learning activity and student material mastery In Junior High School 2 Tulang Bawang Tengah are still low. One of alternative to increase the activity and matter material mastery of the Creatures Growth and Development by students which are Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model, a learning model that can be increases learning activity even though effecting to students. Experimental design uses pretest posttest non equivalent group. The sample in this study is VIII D as a experimental class and VIII E as a control class which choose by cluster random sampling. The quantitative data is taken from the average of pre-test and post-test point and then analyzed with statistic using T-test by SPSS 17 program. The qualitative data is learning activity student which taken from observation paper as long as learning activity. The result of this study are  showing the application of NHT learning models have a significant impact to increase learning activity and mastery student matter. For seen, N-gain average experiment class is 53,6. The percentage average of student learning activity in experiment class which used NHT learning model are high category 12,91 %. Keywords: NHT  learning model, student learning activity, student matter mastery and material of the Creatures Growth and Development

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of  using video media with STAD learning model towards students activity and students achievement. The research sample were students in VIIIa and VIIIc class that was selected by cluster random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative that was obtained from questionnaire. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t and U test. Result of research indicate that mean of student learning activity have good criteria at the highest aspect of working together (89.25). Increasing of student achievement also happend in cognitif aspect (C1) with gain (0.54). It means, using video media with STAD learning model significantly influenced the improvement of students learning activity and students achievement in motion of plant subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media video dengan model pembelajaran STAD terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIa dan VIIIc  yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa rata-rata berkriteria baik pada aspek tertinggi bekerja sama (89,25). Peningkatan hasil belajar juga terjadi pada indikator aspek kognitif (C1) dengan rata-rata gain (0,54). Dengan demikian, penggunaan media video dengan model pembelajaran STAD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, gerak tumbuhan, hasil belajar, media video, STAD

Abstract

This research was aimed to find the effectiveness of Jigsaw learning model to students learning outcomes and activities.This research was conducted in SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung with research design was pretest- posttest non equivalent. The research sample were students in V11h andV11i class that were selected by purposive sampling method. The research data were quantitative obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed by using t-test and U-test and the qualitative data were obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire of students response that were analyzed descriptively.The results showed that the average of learning outcomes in experimental class was higher than N-gain average (eksperiment = 54,90 and control = 22,41). The average of students learning activities percentage in all class aspects in experiment class shown higher environment than control (class 73,61 and 60,14). The students gave positive responses to the using of Jigsaw learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Jigsaw terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP N 5 Bandar Lampung dengan desain penelitian pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelasV11h dan V11i dipilih menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U dan data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebihtinggi dengan rata-rata N-gain (eksperimen=54,90; kontrol =22,41).Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 73,61; kontrol = 60,14). Semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran Jigsaw.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, jigsaw, metode diskusi, pengelolaan lingkungan

Abstract

This study was aimed to compare of Jigsaw model and NHT of student learning outcome and student activities. This study design was pretest-posttest non equivalent group. Samples were VIIA  and VIIC, chosen by purposive sampling. The average value of pretest-posttest were analyzed by using U-test and qualitative data which obtained from the learning activities observation sheet.  The results of this research showed that the use of Jigsaw model and NHT was improve learning outcome, but Jigsaw model (N-gain 64.56) was higher and significantly different than NHT (N-gain 57.78). Learning activities Jigsaw was higher than NHT with average 77 (Jigsaw)and 71 (NHT ) with each percentage were give opinions or ideas (Jigsaw 77 and NHT 66), cooperation with friends (Jigsaw 79 and NHT 71), view friends presentations (Jigsaw 83 and NHT 71), ask ability (Jigsaw 82 and NHT 83), answer the questions ability (Jigsaw 67 and NHT 64). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan model Jigsaw dan NHT terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Rata-rata nilai pretest-posttest dianalisis menggunakan uji-U dan data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model Jigsaw dan NHT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, namun penggunaan model Jigsaw (N-gain 64.56) lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan NHT (N-gain 57.78). Aktivitas belajar Jigsaw lebih tinggi dibandingkan NHT dengan rata-rata 77 (Jigsaw) dan 71 (NHT) dengan persentase masing-masing yaitu mengemukakan pendapat atau ide (Jigsaw 77 dan NHT 66 ), bekerjasama dengan teman (Jigsaw 79 dan NHT 71), memperhatikan presentasi teman (Jigsaw 83 dan NHT 71), kemampuan bertanya (Jigsaw 82 dan NHT 83), kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan (Jigsaw 67 dan NHT 64). Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, ekosistem, hasil belajar, jigsaw, NHT
