Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding improvement of career exploration through group guidance services with a group discussion technique. This study uses classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects are eight students of grade IX E SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta, taken by using purposive sampling. Data collection instruments use understanding questionnaires of career exploration and observation guidelines. An understanding of the students' career exploration before and after group guidance services group by group discussion techniques were analyzed using t-test formula. Results of data analysis obtained by value t = 7.812> t table (1.895), with the results mean score of 119.87 pretest and posttest mean score increased to 155.75. The results of this study concluded there is an understanding improvement of career exploration through group guidance services with the student a group discussion technique. The results of this study can be used as information for guidance and counseling teachers in an effort to improve the understanding of students' career exploration through group guidance services by utilizing the technique of a group discussion.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a guideline for the social care educational game for the elementary school students which meet the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity and attractiveness. This was a research and development study adapted from Borg & Gall model by the data analysis technique using Wilcoxon. This study employed purposive sampling technique. The result of this study found that the guideline of social care educational game met the criteria of accuracy, usefulness, simplicity, and attractiveness for Elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the correlation between proximity and social interaction. This was a correlational study. The population of this study was 173 eight grade students. The data were collected by using proximity scale and social interaction scale. To analyze the data, this study used product moment correlation. The result of this study showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between proximity and social interaction by the coefficient of correlation (r) 0.365 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). In other words, higher proximity leads to higher social interaction and vice versa. The results of this study can provide information to educators, especially guidance and counseling teachers (BK) as predictions and preliminary data before providing guidance and counseling services to develop students' proximity  and social interaction.

Abstract

Efektifitas teknik bimbingan kelompok untuk meningkatkan konsep diri remaja. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran konsep diri siswa dan keefektifan teknik bimbingan dan konseling kelompok dalam menigkatkan konsep diri remaja. Penelitian dilaksanakan di  SMK Yapema Gadingrejo Lampung, dan yang menjadi subyek penelitian adalah  siswa kelas X sebanyak 10 siswa yang memiliki konsep diri rendah atau negatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experimental design tanpa kelompok kontrol, Adapun desain pre-eksperimntal adalah pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis non-parameterik dengan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan konsep diri dengan menggunakan teknik bimbingan konseling kelompok, hal ini dibuktikan dengan terjadinya perubahan yang signifikan pada diri siswa yang memiliki konsep diri negatif/rendah mengarah pada perubahan konsep diri positif.Kata kunci : Bimbingan Kelompok, Konsep Diri Remaja

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh otoriatif, kontrol diri, ketrampilan komunikasi dengan agresivitas secara terpisah. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan skala Agresivitas, skala Pola Asuh Otoritatif, skala Kontrol Diri, dan skala ketrampilan Komunikasi yang disusun sendiri. Model skala yang digunakan adalah skala Likert. Dalam penelitian ini populasinya adalah siswa kelas X, yang berjumlah 7 kelas dengan jumlah keseluruhan 229 siswa dengan rumus slovien Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 70 siswa dari 229 siswa yang ada, sehingga diharapkan sampel yang ditetapkan sudah representatif. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan variabel yang memberikan kontribusi terbesar adalah variabel Ketrampilan Komunikasi (X3) yaitu 13,44%, kemudian Pola Asuh (X1) dengan kontribusi 10,11% dan variabel kontrol diri (X2) memiliki kontribusi 3,92%. Hasil analisis pertama memperoleh nilai F = 7,211, p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), dan R2 = 0,213. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara pola asuh otoritatif (X1), kontrol diri (X2), dan Ketrampilan komunikasi (X3) secara bersama-sama terhadap agresivitas (Y).

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of classical guidance service program to increase students’ self-control. It used quantitative approach with quasi experiment using non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Subjects of the research were 80 students who were taken by cluster random sampling technique. They were divided into two groups, 40 students were in experimental group and 40 students were in control group. To collect data this research used interview guide and self-control scale. Data analysis technique which was used to test the effectiveness of classical guidance service program was Anacova analysis. The analysis result shows negative value 11.694 with coefficient t=4.259 and p+0.000. Based on research result it can be concluded that classical guidance services program was effective to increase students’ self-control. The results of this research are useful for guidance and counseling teachers to help students to increase self-control through classical guidance services program.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of group counseling service to improve the learning concentration of the students holding Road to Prosperity Cards (KMS-Kartu Menuju Sejahtera). The research employed action research in the implementation. The subject of the research is five students from grade VIII of SMP Negeri 15 Yogyakarta which were selected using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the quessionaire on learning concentration and observation guidelines. To examine the effectiveness of group counseling service, the data is analyzed using t-test formula. The data analysis results show the t-value of 9.215 > t table (2.2776). The average score of the pretest on learning concentration was 145.4. The score improved at the post test on learning concentration, showing the average score of 167.4. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that group counseling service is effective to improve the learning concentration of the students holding Road to Prosperity Card. This research can be used by the teachers of guidance and counseling to help the students to improve their learning concentration through group counseling service.

Abstract

All countries in the world realize the importance of education that aims to provide guidancefor the survival of a nation. Four things that become a major focal point in improving theeducation, the distribution of education, quality of education, educational relevance, and efficiencyof education management. Increased done should be done thoroughly, not one by one, and otheraspects are ignored .. However, education quality and equity of education in Indonesia is stilllagging behind other countries. One sat improve the quality of education conducted by the State ofIndonesia is to set the standard national examination, but still problematic. Then EquitableEducation conducted also been a problem with unequal education kualutas in each area. It isnecessary to improve education quality and equity of education in Indonesia. It is necessary stepsto address the education problem, namely by directed at improving the quality of education invarious aspects, and improving education performed evenly in each area.

Abstract

This study aimed to understand the effect of group counseling service in increasing students’ learning discipline. This was a quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were eighteen students taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study employed learning discipline rating scale to collect the data, while interviews and documentation were done as the supporting technique. The data analysis technique of this study was independent t-test by separate-variance t-test formula. The result of t-test score calculation by df=18 with the 0.05 significance level was 2.145, and the tcount = 6,652. Since tcount > ttable (6,652 > 2,145), it could be concluded that assertive training can increase the learning discipline on the students of Class X of SMK Trisakti Bandar Lampung. The result of this study provides an alternative solution for school counselor in facing the students who experience learning discipline problem through group counseling service.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kesehatan mental adalah suatu keadaan psikologis yang menunjukkan kemampuan seseorang untuk mengadakan penyesuaian diri terhadap masalah-masalah yang dihadapi. Pendidik memiliki tugas untuk mengembangkan kesehatan mental pada seluruh komponen sekolah, seperti diri peserta didik, rekan kerja, maupun dirinya sendiri. Kesehatan Kecerdasan emosi dapat membantu keseimbangan kesehatan mental seseorang dalam menghadapi masalah-masalah hidup dalam lingkungan pendidikan. Terdapat berbagai strategi yang dapat dilakukan dalam upaya mengembangkan kesehatan mental.Kata kunci: kesehatan mental, lingkungan sekolah.
