Abstract

Model Fay-Herriot merupakan salah satu kasus khusus dari model area level pada small area estimation (SAE). Penaksiran parameter pada model Fay-Herriot dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, diantaranya metode Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) dan metode Empirical Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (EBLUP). Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mencari taksiran parameter pada model Fay-Herriot dengan menggunakan metode EBLUP.Berbeda dengan metode BLUP, pada metode EBLUP variansi pengaruh acak small area diasumsikan tidak diketahui. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penaksiran terhadap variansi pengaruh acak small area. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk menaksir variansi pengaruh acak small area tersebut adalah metode Maximum Likelihood (ML).Kata Kunci : model Fay-Herriot, Empirical Best Linear Unbiased Prediction, Best Linear Unbiased Prediction

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with a behavioristic approach to reducing academic procrastination on vocational students. This type of research is classroom action research, consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of three acts. Each cycle begins with the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was determined by purposive sampling of six students with high academic procrastination level criteria. The research instrument used in the form of academic procrastination scale and guidelines for observation. Data analysis using t-test formula. The results showed that the average student academic procrastination 107.33 pretest and posttest mean of 66.5 and 100% of the students are in the category of academic procrastination low after getting action. It can be concluded that the counseling group with the approach used to reduce the effective behavioristic academic procrastination, vocational students. The results of this study useful for counselors to help students reduce academic procrastination through a counseling group with the behavioristic approach.

Abstract

This research aims to the role of permissive parenting, school atmosphere, and achievement motivation towards students’ truant behavior. This is a correlational research. The quantitative approch is used in this research. The participants were 200 students of SMK PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. There was a form of scale of truant behavior, permissive parenting, school atmosphere and achivement motivation that used as the instrument of this research. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Based on the analysis results, the obtained data showed a coefficient of 22.044 with the sig. 0,000. The results of the study showed that there is a significant influence between permissive parenting towards students’ truant behavior , school atmosphere and achievement motivation by 25,2%. Specifically, there is a significant influence between permissive parenting towards students’ truant behavior by 18,3%, there is no significant influence between school atmosphere towards students’ truant behavior by 1,6%, there is a significant influence between achievement motivation towards students’ truant behavior by 24,5%. This research findings can be considered as useful information for the parents in order to provide an effective parenting for their children. On the other hand, these findings can be used as the ponder in developing guidance and counseling services to reduce students’ truant behavior.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the students' perception of guidance and counseling teachers in the implementation of individual counseling services. This research is descriptive quantitative with data collection instruments in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects was 36 students of grade IX SMP Negeri 2 Kebumen taken through purposive sampling technique. The perception of students towards guidance and counseling teachers in the implementation of individual counseling services were analyzed using a simple calculation with a grouping of three criteria: good, average, and poor. The results showed that students' perception of guidance and counseling teachers in the implementation of the services of individual counseling class IX SMP Negeri 2 Kebumen as many as 21 (58%) are in good category, 53 (42%) are in the average category, and 0 (0%) in the poor category. The results of this study can be used as a feedback and self-evaluation materials for guidance and counseling teachers in developing the quality of individual counseling services in schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the self-confidence difference between the active and inactive students scout. This was a comparative study with 100 samples taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study is a self-confidence questionnaire. This study employed independent sample t-test to analyze the data. The result of this study showed that the difference of self-confidence on active and inactive student scout in SMPN 5 Kota Jambi through t count was 3,868 > t table 2,022. In other words, there was a difference of self-confidence on the students who actively participated in Scout and those who did not. The result of this study is recommended for the school counselor to assist the students with low self-confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth of the effect of religious counseling towards the religious behavioral adaptation of Indonesian migrant in the Netherlands. The study used a case study of twelve Indonesian Muslim migrants in the Netherlands with male and female sex with a religious counselor taken with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used in this study was by interview and in-depth observation. Data analysis techniques using a model of qualitative data analysis Miles Huberman with data reduction steps, display data and draw conclusions. The result of this study showed that the religious counseling played positive roles in the life of Indonesian Muslim migrants group in the Netherlands. Those roles include community life, relationship with Allah and relationship among Islam people. The findings of this study can be a strategy for the counselor in assisting Muslim migrants in a non-muslim country on the behavioral adaptation

Abstract

Program Bimbingan Pribadi-Sosial untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Moral Siswa. Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan program bimbingan pribadi-sosial yang efektif dan feasible untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan moral siswa. Metode  penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan desain penelitian pre-eksperimen one group pretest posttest. Teknik  pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan wawancara. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel bertujuan (purposive sampling). Hasil penelitian menujukkan: (1) secara umum tingkat kecerdasan moral siswa di SMAN 1 Setu Bekasi mengarah pada kondisi kritis sehingga membutuhkan upaya preventif; (2) penanganan permasalahan kecerdasan moral di SMAN 1 Setu Bekasi masih responsif dan cenderung represif; (3) program bimbingan pribadi-sosial terbukti efektif meningkatkan kecerdasan moral siswa.Kata kunci : Pribadi-Sosial, Kecerdasan Moral

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok terhadap efikasi diri siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen dengan metode pre-test dan post-test eksperimen. Pengambilan subyek dalam penelitian ini melalui hasil screening skala efikasi diri dan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 16 siswa yang selanjutnya dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berdasarkan random assigment. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen skala efikasi diri yang sebelum digunakan diuji terlebih dahulu validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah independen t-test yang sebelumnya diuji prasyarat, yaitu normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa data gain skor kelas eksperimen dan kontrol memenuhi uji prasyarat yaitu normal dan homogen, selanjutnya dilakukan uji independent t test. Hasil uji independent t test gain skor efikasi diri menunjukkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 yang berarti lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi (0,01). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh konseling kelompok yang sangat signifikan terhadap efikasi diri siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Pengasih Kulon Progo.

Abstract

The study aims to reveal the students' perception of the implementation of personal guidance services by teacher guidance and counseling in schools. This type of research is quantitative descriptive study. Samples in this study amounted to 105 class XI student of SMK Negeri 1 Yogyakarta taken by using proportional random sampling. Collecting data using questionnaires students' perception of the implementation of private tutoring services. Mechanical data analysts use a simple calculation with a grouping of three criteria: good, average and less. The results showed that the students' perception of the implementation of private tutoring services as many as 78 (74.3%) in both categories, 27 (25.7%) in the medium category, and 0 (0%) in the poor category. The results of data analysis can be concluded that students' perceptions of personal counseling service implementation class XI student of SMK Negeri 1 Yogyakarta with either category. Information from this research can be considered for guidance and counseling teachers in the development of service quality as well as the personal guidance for the development of personal guidance services program for vocational students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is an attempt to reduce the excessive habit of playing online games through group discussion techniques for 8th grade students of class D in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta in the academic year 2013/2014. This study is an action research. The participants were 10 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used are questionnaires of playing online games habit and observation. The analysis used in this research is the t-test formula. The treatment using group discussion techniques was given to the students after the guidance and counseling services were done. The results of this study showed that the average pretest percentage of the habit of playing online games is 90,9%, while the average posttest results is 57,6%. The results showed that there is a reduction of playing online games habit through group dicussion techniques for 8th grade students of class D in SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. This study can be used as a basis information for guidance and counseling teachers in lessening the habit of playing online games through group discussion techniques.
