Abstract

Learning is an attemp to acquire cleverness and knowledge. It is also similar to training. In other words, it means behavior change or respond which is initiated by experience. behaviour change from dissability to do something to ability to do something is called learning. the common understanding, whish is followed by lecturers and has to be accepted by student. The success or achievement of learning is measured by how to the student can demonstrate well taht they are able to enunciate clearly all knowledge wanted by the lecturer. It what has been enunciated is not appropriate with the lecture desire, its means that the student has not studied yet.

Abstract

Perpustakaan merupakan lembaga non provit yang bergerak dibidang  jasa dan  informasi. Produk utama perpustakaan adalah menyediakan jasa dan layanan informasi kepada khalayak yang membutuhkan. Dalam hal ini Salah satu faktor kesuksesan perpustakaan adalah sikap pustakawan dalam melayani kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. adab dan sopan santun dalam berbicara, berpenampilan bersih dan smart, tulus dan mampu memahami karakter pemustaka yang beragam sangat diperlukan dan  untuk terus di tingkatkan guna terwujudnya pelayanan prima kepada pemustaka.Keterampilan sosial pustakawan dalam melakukan komunikasi antar pribadi tidak saja berfungi untuk melayani pemustaka, keterampilan tersebut juga diperlukan saat bekerja dengan team, membangun jaringan, mampu menyelesaikan konflik dengan team maupun dengan pemustaka. dalam memupuk keterampilan tersebut, maka diperlukan pengetahuan mengenal diri sendiri sehingga dalam makalah ini dibahas pula beragam karakter diri dan karakter pemustaka, serta cara-cara menyikapinya.  Library is a non-provit institution engaged in services and information. The main product of the library is providing information services and services to audiences in need. In this case One of the factors of library success is the attitude of librarians in serving the needs of information pemustaka. Adab and manners in speaking, clean and smart, sincere and able to understand the character of the various librarians is needed and to continue to be improved in order to realize the excellent service to the user. The social skills of librarians in interpersonal communication not only serve to serve the user, such skills are also needed when working with teams, building networks, being able to resolve conflicts with teams and with users. In fostering these skills, it takes knowledge to know yourself so that in this paper also discussed a variety of self character and user characters , and ways to react.

Abstract

Abstrak; Pentingnya mutu atau kualitas (quality) telah menjadi perhatian pengelola perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Perpustakaan Nasional RI telah menyusun standar yang dapat dijadikan acuan minimal dalam penyelenggaraan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yang berkualitas. Suatu bentuk formal pengakuan terhadap pemenuhan standar tersebut yaitu dengan pelaksanaan akreditasi perpustakaan. Akreditasi perpustakaaan bertujuan untuk memperbaiki perpustakaan yang diakreditasi sehingga bermanfaat untuk membangun kualitas perpustakaan. Sesuai amanat UU RI No 43 tahun 2007 dan PP No 24 tahun 2014, Perpustakaan Nasional telah membentuk Lembaga Akreditasi Perpustakaan Nasional (LAP-N).Sertifikat terakreditasi dapat diperoleh suatu perpustakaan berdasarkan jumlah nilai tertimbang dari komponen komponen layanan, kerjasama, koleksi, pengorganisasian materi perpustakaan, sumber daya manusia, gedung / ruang dan sarana prasarana, anggaran, manajemen perpustakaan dan perawatan keoleksi perpustakaan. Pengalaman Perpustakaan STAIN Kediri dalam melaksanakan akreditasi perpustakaan dengan menempuh langkah-langkah antara lain merencanakan kegiatan akreditasi, membentuk tim persiapan akreditasi, melakukan asesmen mandiri (self assessment), menyiapkan berkas pendukung, mengirimkan surat permohonan dan berkas data pendukung, melakukan penilaian borang, menyiapkan dan melaksanakan asesmen lapangan. Hal yang pokok dari sebuah akreditasi adalah budaya kualitas. Harapan untuk memperoleh nilai akreditasi terbaik terletak pada budaya kualitas yang dilakukan secara konsisten dan berkesinambungan.Abstract; The importance of quality has been a concern of college library librarian. National Library has compiled standards can be used as a minimum level college library quality. A form of formal recognition of compliance with these standards is by accrediting library. Accreditation aims to improve accredited institution so useful to build a library quality. As stipulated by Law Decree(UU) No. 43 of 2007 and Government Regulation (PP)No. 24 of 2014, the National Library has the National Library Accreditation Agency (LAP-N). Accredited certificate can obtain a library based on the number of components weighted values of service, cooperation, collection, organization of library materials, human resources, building / space and infrastructure, budget, library management and maintenance of library collection. The experience of STAIN Kediri library in carrying out the library accreditation including : make a plan of accreditation activities, form preparation team of accreditation, perform self assessments, set up support files, send a letter of application and data file support, assessment accreditation forms, prepare for site assessment and carry out the acreditation. The main thing is the accreditation is a culture of quality. Hope to obtain the best value of accreditation lies in the culture of quality.

Abstract

Information management is a concept that can be viewed differently depending on the context and application. management of information can be apllied to public or private sector, non profit organization or commercial enterprise. Similarly, in the context of library, although the main task of library which provide the access of information that contains knowledge and wisdom for its user is uncchanching, the task of managing information continnues to grow and change. the library deals with more challenging task to prepare precise information to its user at the right time and at the right moment for the right reasons and in the correct format as well. At this time the librarians and information managers in the library and information center should improve their capabilities in information management. Information management is very important. This paper discusses the concept of information, the concept of information management with several aspects in it, information managers in managing information in an effort to provide knowledge to its user.

Abstract

Artikel ini berfokus pada masalah strategi kunci untuk merajut inovasi dalam rangka mengoptimalkan kualitas pengembangan SDM perpustakaan. Merajut inovasi dengan terobosan embedded librarian menantang untuk diwujudkan. Untuk mengelola perpustakaan perguruan tinggi di era yang kompetitif perlu meningkatkan tata kelola manajemen perpustakaan dengan berfokus pada penguatan SDM perpustakaan. Integrasi pustakawan dalam lembaga, fakultas, kerja tim, serta berkolaborasi dengan civitas akademik adalah aplikasi kegiatan dari embedded librarian tersebut. Karakteristiknya seperti responsif, interaksi dengan komunitas akademik, memberikan kontribusi untuk menemukan kebutuhan informasi pemustaka, memiliki nilai tambah, maupun dengan berjejaring. Dalam praktiknya juga perlu membangun komunikasi ilmiah dengan semua civitas akademik.

Abstract

Problem of a quality of school education has always been an interesting theme for discussion. But one thing that is still unnoticed by the education experts is the problem of the role of libraries in schools. The library is important. Everyone acknowledges that, as well as importance of readning,. however people rarely think of how students are encouraged to like readning and make it as a culture. The education quality should be supported by an adequate library. Therefore, there must be a synergy among the various components of education in scholls to start readning habits from managing the library. This short article tries habits from how to empower the library that can  compel students to like reading very much so that it will impact undirectly on the improvement of education quality in school.

The key to use a knowledge treasury on library,especiallyschool library, is reading. And the process of reading a literature willbe maximal if it is done by interest in reading. In addition to havingmain duty, such as information, circulation and reference service,school library has a role to increase interest in reading of students.A lot of services of library to increase student’s interest in readingare thosewhich become part of learning process, services to increasestudent’s skill to explore information, and services to increasealibrary use. So, the library has many opportunites to increasestudent’s interest in reading. The main point in increasing student’sinterest in reading is a model from many parts, especially librarian.Those process will form a paradigm thereading is the main matterinlearning process.This essay will explore library’s role to increasestudent’s interest in reading.

Abstract

            Sekitar akhir abad ke-20, penerbitan jurnal sebagai salah satu bentuk komunikasi ilmiah (scholarly communication) mengalami masa krisis (serials crisis) yang ditandai dengan meroketnya biaya berlangganan jurnal (ACRL, 2003). Kuatnya kendali penerbitan ilmiah di tangan para konglomerat penerbitan komersial yang berakibat melemahnya kekuatan penerbit berbasis nir-laba dianggap sebagai penyebab utama dari krisis ini. Pesatnya komersialisasi penerbitan jurnal ilmiah serta naiknya biaya penerbitan pada saat itu membuat jurnal ilmiah semakin sulit diakses. Akhirnya, kemampuan perpustakaan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggannya menurun seiring dengan melemahnya kemampuan untuk melanggan jurnal (B.-C. Björk, 2017).            Pada saat yang sama, perkembangan pesat teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) mulai menunjukkan dampak yang nyata terhadap perkembangan penerbitan ilmiah. Penyebaran dan penyimpanan dijital informasi ilmiah, termasuk, e-jurnal, membuka peluang penyediaan konten informasi dengan biaya murah dengan mengurangi biaya yang berkaitan dengan pencetakan dan distribusi hard copy. Perkembangan TIK juga membuka potensi untuk mengabaikan peran penerbit tradisional dengan menyajikan jurnal online langsung kepada pembaca. Akibatnya kemudian adalah berkembangnya konsep penerbitan Open Access (OA), sebuah strategi yang dikembangkan dan didukung oleh jaringan ilmuwan, penerbit, dan pustakawan sebagai solusi atas terjadinya krisis jurnal ilmiah. OA dianggap sebagai sebuah solusi yang strategis karena memungkinkan tersedianya “akses online terbuka” untuk karya ilmiah (Harnad, 2005; Suber, 2004).            Berkaitan dengan hal di atas, tulisan ini akan memaparkan sekilas tentang perkembangan penerbitan jurnal OA dalam mendukung proses komunikasi ilmiah serta peran yang dapat dilakukan oleh perpustakaan dan pustakawan.

Abstract

Abstract; Institutional repositories development has drawn the attention of many scholars throughout the world. Using the keywords ‘institutional repositories’, there are over 300 peer-reviewed articles related on the topic has been indexed in Library, Information Science, & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) and SCOPUS. There are also hundreds of theses, dissertations, and websites dedicated on this blooming trends. These are proofs that the importance of IR in higher education has been acknowledged by many professionals in the field. This paper aims at clarifying the role of repositories in strengthening scholarly communication in higher education and research institution and explaining some basic repositories concepts (types of repositories and their characteristics), as well as exploring its relations with open access movement, the development ideas, and resources that could be kept in repositories and deposit policies.Abstrak; Pengembangan institutional repositories telah banyak menyita perhatian dari kalangan ilmiah di seluruh dunia. Melalui kata kunci ‘institutional repositories’, ada lebih dari 300 artikel terulas mitra bestari yang berhubungan dengan topik ini, yang telah terindeks di Library, Information Science, & Technology Abstracts (LISTA), dan SCOPUS. Terdapat juga ratusan tesis, disertasi, dan website yang mengulas trend ini. Inilah bukti bahwa pentingnya institutional repositories (IR) telah dipahami oleh para profesional di bidangnya. Tulisan ini akan menjelaskan aturan-aturan repository dalam memperkuat komunikasi ilmiah di perguruan tinggi dan lembaga riset, menjelaskan konsep-konsep dasar repositories, termasuk tipe-tipe repository dan karakteristiknya. Tulisan ini juga akan memperdalam konsep repositories dalam hubungannya dengan gerakan open access, pengembangan ide-ide, sumber-sumber ilmiah yang dapat disimpan di repositories, serta kebijakan penyimpanan di dalamnya.
