Abstract

 Rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan sikap disiplin disebabkan oleh kurangnya kreatifitas guru dalam mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keefektifan dari model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika dan sikap disiplin. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian 22 orang mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan matematika semester II Universitas Flores. Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep dan angket sikap disiplin mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa Pemahaman Konsep memperoleh nilai signifikan 0.000 hal tersebut berarti nilai p < 0.005 dan untuk sikap disiplin 0.003 hal tersebut berarti nilai p < 0.005, sehingga dapat diambil suatu keputusan bahwa Ho ditolak yang artinya terdapat perbedaan pre-test dan post-test Pemahaman konsep dan sikap disiplin mahasiswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis etnomatematika. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa semester II sesudah menerapkan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis etnomatematika hasil pemahaman konsep dan sikap disiplin lebih baik dari pada sebelum menggunakan pembelajaran dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis etnomatematika Kata kunci: Etnomatematika; Kontekstual; Pemahaman Konsep; Sikap Disiplin Abstract The low understanding of concepts and discipline is caused by the lack of creativity of teachers in learning with everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the ethnomathematics-based contextual learning model. This study is a quasi-experimental research sample of 22 students of the second semester Mathematics Education study program at the University of Flores. The instruments used in this study were a concept understanding test and a student discipline attitude questionnaire. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and questionnaires. Data analysis was done descriptively and inferentially. The results of the study concluded that Concept Understanding obtained a significant value of 0.000 which means the p-value < 0.005 and for disciplined attitude 0.003 it means the p-value < 0.005, so a decision can be taken that Ho is rejected, which means that there are differences in the pre-test and post-test understanding. concepts and student discipline attitudes before and after the application of ethnomathematical-based contextual learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that second-semester students after applying the ethnomathematics-based contextual learning model the results of understanding concepts and discipline attitudes are better than before using the ethnomathematics-based contextual learning model.Keywords: Contextual; Concept Understanding; Discipline; Ethnomathematics

Abstract

The research aims to analyze students' mistakes in solving straight-line equations and then find the learning barriers experienced during distance learning conducted in the 8th grade of a superior private junior high school in Surakarta City. The research uses qualitative descriptive design with assistive instruments in the form of three straight-line equations material test questions and interview guidelines. Triangulation used is a triangulation method and analysis data is done with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data categorization, presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. Referring to the Newman Error Analysis theory, it is identified that all five types of errors are made by students in solving straight-line equations. The five types of errors are reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors. Student errors that appear to indicate obstacles in learning. The rights that arise are the ownership of mobile phones and unstable internet networks, minimal learning supervision, and the availability of fewer learning resources. The results of this study can be used as a basis for developing a learning medium that can be used and supporting online teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the STAD problem-based learning setting in terms of learning outcomes and mathematical dispositions. This research is an experimental research type of pre-experimental. This pre-experimental study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with a population of students in the second semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sample in this study was a class of second-semester students. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of a description of 6 questions and a non-test in the form of a mathematical disposition questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with five answer choices. The data analysis technique used was the paired-sample t-test with the help of SPSS Windows Version 16. Based on the test results, obtained the value of sig. of 0.00 for learning outcomes and mathematical dispositions. This result shows that the problem-based learning setting of STAD is effective and good to be applied in the design of the learning process in a number theory course, in terms of learning outcomes and mathematical disposition abilities.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an individual's ability to formulate, use, and interpret mathematics in a variety of contexts. Mathematical literacy ability in context dimension is divided into four, namely personal context, educational and work context, social context, and scientific context. This study aims to describe the mathematical literacy ability of high school students in the context of education and work. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were three grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Sragen with low, medium, and high initial mathematical ability categories. The research instruments used were tests, interviews, and researchers. The data collection methods used in the study were the test method and the interview method. Validation of the data used is the triangulation method. The results of the tests and interviews were then analyzed using indicators of mathematical literacy ability to obtain data on mathematical literacy skills in solving problems. The results showed that the students' mathematical literacy skills were low, medium, high in the context of education and work were low. In the case of mathematical literacy in the context of education and work, students with low, medium, and high early mathematical abilities have the ability to interpret problems, apply simple procedural problem solving strategies but have not been able to fulfill the ability to represent different and different answers and communicate solutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengembangkan modul praktikum geometri berbasis Wingeom (Window Geomtry) pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika. Modul praktikum yang dikembangkan adalah untuk materi pada praktikum mata kuliah Geometri Dasar. Tujuan khusus dari penelitian ini adalah tersedianya modul praktikum pada mata kuliah geometri dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan atau penelitian research and development approach (R & D).  Pengembangan bahan ajar mengacu pada model 4-D yang diadopsi dari model pengembangan Thiagarajan, yaitu: (1) Define (pendefinisian); (2) Design (perancangan); (3) Develop (pengembangan); dan (4) Disseminate (pendiseminasian). Subjek penelitian dilakukan terhadap 48 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah teknik komunikasi tak langsung dan pengukuran dengan alat pengumpul datanya berupa angket dan tes hasil belajar. Modul dikatakan valid berdasarkan penilaian validator; dikatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil angket respon mahasiswa; dan dikatakan efektif berdasarkan hasil uji coba modul. Adapun hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa modul memenuhi kevalidan dengan rata-rata 93,3% dan tergolong sangat valid. Hasil angket respon memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan rata-rata 4,47 dari rata-rata maksimal 5,00. Hasil tes kemampuan mahasiswa juga memenuhi kriteria keefektifan, hal ini ditunjukkan bahwa 50% mahasiswa atau 24 mahasiswa telah mencapai KKM yang ditentukan dengan mendapatkan nilai ≥ 77,50 dan dari 24 mahasiswa tersebut, separohnya mendapatkan nilai ≥ 88,00. Berdasarkan ketiga hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul praktikum geometri berbasis wingeom memenuhi ketiga kriteria tersebut, yaitu: valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemandriain belajar dengan pendekatan STEM berbasis LSLC (Lesson Study for Learning Community). Subyek penelitian adalah enam  peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 1 Ngunut. Pemilihan subyek peserta didik berdasarkan angket kemandirain belajar. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian kualitatif . Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu lembar observasi, angket kemandirian belajar, dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Analisis data yang diigunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan pengumpulan data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan. setiap pertemuan. Perkembangan tersebut dapat ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan kemandirian belajar tinggi, mampu menyelesaikan masalah menggunakan empat tahap. Hanya tiga indikator yang dapat dicapai oleh peserta didik yang memiliki kemapuan pemecahan masalah matematika dengan kemandirian belajar sedang Sedangkan peserta didik dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dengan kemandirian belajar rendah hanya memenuhi satu indikator saja.Kata kunci: Kemampuan pemecahan masalah; kemandiran belajaran; LSLC pendekatan STEM;  Abstract This study aims to describe problem solving skills and independent learning with a STEM approach based on LSLC (Lesson Study for Learning Community). The research subjects were six seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Ngunut. The selection of students' subjects was based on a self-learning questionnaire. This research is classified as qualitative research . The data collection technique in the study consisted of several stages, namely observation sheets, learning independence questionnaires, and mathematical problem solving ability tests. Data analysis used in this study is data collection, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the learning activities of students have increased. every meeting. This development can be shown by problem solving skills with high learning independence, able to solve problems using four stages. Only three indicators can be achieved by students who have mathematical problem solving abilities with moderate learning independence. Meanwhile, students with mathematical problem solving abilities with low learning independence only meet one indicator.Keywords: Problem solving ability, LSLC, learning independence, STEM approach

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Dasar dan Proses Pembelajaran Matematika (DPPM) yang memenuhi kelayakan yakni memiliki kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan dari Plomp. Prosedur pengembangan terbagi menjadi tiga tahap yakni: (1) studi pendahuluan; (2) pengembangan atau pembuatan prototipe; dan (3) penilaian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket kevalidan dan kepraktisan buku ajar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru program studi pendidikan matematika semester IV, dan dosen pendidikan matematika di Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan hasil dari komentar para validator buku ajar yang dikembangkan telah valid dengan kriteria baik, baik dari aspek konten, media, maupun bahasa. Selanjutnya berdasarkan ujicoba terbatas, buku ajar yang dikembangkan telah terbukti praktis dengan kategori baik. Hasil ini dapat dilihat  berdasarkan masukan dan komentar beberapa mahasiswa yang menjadi subjek ujicoba bahwa, isi materi dan bahasa mudah dipahami, kalimat sederhana dan adanya ringkasan disetiap BAB nya sangat mendukung proses perkuliahan. Kata kunci: buku ajar, dasar dan proses pembelajaran matematika, pengembangan Abstract This study aims to develop texbooks to facilitate students in the Basic and Mathematics Learning Process (DPPM) lectures that are feasible to use, namely meeting valid and practical criteria. This research is a development research with the development model of Plomp. The development procedure consists of three phases, namely: (1) preliminary research; (2) development or prototyping phase; and (3) assessment phase. The data collection technique used is the validity assessment sheet, and the practicality of textbooks. The research subjects were students of fourth semester mathematics education teacher candidates, and mathematics education lecturers in Pekanbaru. to produce valid and practical textbooks to facilitate the DPPM lecture process. The results of this study indicate that, based on the results of the comments of the validators, the textbooks developed have been valid with good criteria, both in terms of material, media and language aspects. Furthermore, in the limited trial stage, the developed textbooks showed practicality with good criteria. These results can be seen based on the input and comments of several students who are the subject of the test that the content of the material and language is easy to understand, simple sentences and the existence of a summary in each chapter really supports the lecture process. Keywords: basics and the process of learning mathematics, development, textbooks

Abstract

AbstrakBahan ajar berbasis VBA Excel ialah cara interaktif untuk menyajikan materi matematika, mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung, membuat siswa merasa senang dan termotivasi untuk terus belajar matematika pada masa pembelajaran jarah jauh (PJJ). Sehingga kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar VBA Excel pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung dengan pendekatan ETICA serta menelaah keefektifan dan kepraktisan dari bahan ajar yang dikembangan menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (R&D) melalui tahap pendahuluan hingga tahap evaluasi formatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ialah 10 siswa kelas IX SMP  Negeri 32 Bandung (uji terbatas) dan 28 siswa kelas IX-F SMP Negeri 32 Bandung (uji luas), Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah lembar validasi ahli dan praktisi, tes butir soal tipe uraian sebanyak 7 soal, angket siswa dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis VBA Excel dengan pendekatan ETICA memenuhi kriteria kualitas: valid dengan rata-rata sebeser 83%, praktis dengan rata-rata 82,60%, dan efektif dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 86,11%, sehingga bahan ajar VBA Excel dengan pendekatan ETICA sangat cocok dan kondusif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran pada masa PJJ, memperoleh respon positif dari siswa, pembelajaran terkesan menyenangkan, dan dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan lebih baik.  Kata Kunci : Bahan ajar VBA Excel 1; Pendekatan ETICA 2; PJJ 3.AbstractTeaching materials based on VBA Excel are used in an interactive way to present mathematical material, make it easier for students to understand the curved side space building material, make students feel happy and motivated to continue learning mathematics. So that students' mathematical skills to the learning objectives. This study aims to develop VBA Excel teaching materials on curved side space building materials with a ETICA approach and to examine the effectiveness and practicality of teaching materials developed using research and development (R&D) methods through the preliminary stage to the formative evaluation stage. The sample in this study was 10 students of class IX SMP Negeri 32 Bandung (limited test) and 28 students of class IX-F SMP Negeri 32 Bandung (broad test), West Java. The instrument used was a test item description type as many as 7 questions, student questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study found that VBA Excel teaching materials with the ETICA approach met the quality criteria: valid with mean is 83%, practice with mean is 82,6%, and effective with is 86,11%. So materials learning based on VBA Excel is very well and condusive to use in learning at PJJ era, get a positive response from students,learning seems fun, and can improve student learning achievement better.Keyword : Teaching materials VBA for Excel 1; ETICA 2; PJJ 3

Abstract

Abstrak Kemampuan representasi matematis merupakan salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika di sekolah yang digunakan sebagai alat bantu untuk menemukan solusi dari masalah matematika, akan tetapi siswa masih kesulitan dalam melakukan kemampuan representasi matematis dan minim kemampuan representasi yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hasil implementasi dari desain didaktis hasil pengembangan untuk meminimalisir learning obstacle yang terjadi terkait kemampuan representasi pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi dan pengembangan dengan Didactical Design Research (DDR). Subjek terdiri dari 38 siswa kelas X beserta 3 orang guru matematika. Soal tes kemampuan representasi dan studi dokumentasi digunakan pada saat implementasi desain didaktis. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan learning obstacle yang terjadi terkait kemampuan representasi siswa yang diperoleh selanjutnya dibuat dan dikembangkan desain didaktis berdasarkan learning obstacle yang telah teridentifikasi sebagai pendahuluan kemudian diimplementasikan, sehingga pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan desain didaktis terlaksana dengan baik akibatnya kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dapat diminimalisir kesalahannya terutama pada proses membuat pemodelan matematika, selain itu proses visual dan pembuatan kata-kata tertulis.Kata kunci: Desain Didaktis, Kemampuan Representasi. AbstractMathematical representation ability is one of the objectives of learning mathematics in schools which is used as a tool to find solutions to mathematical problems, but students still have difficulty in performing mathematical representation skills and lack good representation skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the results of the implementation of the didactic design as a result of the development to minimize learning obstacles that occur related to representational abilities in mathematics learning. This research uses qualitative methods with phenomenological studies and development with Didactical Design Research (DDR). The subjects consisted of 38 students of class X and 3 mathematics teachers. Representational ability test questions and documentation studies are used during the implementation of the didactic design. The results of the study show that based on the learning obstacle that occurs related to the student's representation ability obtained, then a didactic design is made and developed based on the learning obstacle that has been identified as an introduction and then implemented, so that the implementation of mathematics learning by using a didactic design is carried out properly as a result, students' mathematical representation abilities can be achieved. errors are minimized, especially in the process of making mathematical modeling, in addition to the visual process and the creation of written words.Keywords: Didactic Design, Representation Ability.

Abstract

Dampak pandemi memaksa mahasiswa lebih menyukai pembelajaran dengan menggunakan e-learning ataupun WhatsApp dibandingkan dengan platform lain. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut maka perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi terkini yang bersifat adaptif dan dapat diakses kapanpun dan dimanapun oleh mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar mata kuliah Kalkulus Integral berbasis pendekatan Computational Thinking (CT) yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan Plomp yang meliputi tahap preliminary research, prototyping, dan assesment. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket validitas ahli, angket respon mahasiswa terhadap e-modul, dan angket respon mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data menggunakan sistematik refleksi dan dokumentasi untuk menghasilkan teori atau prinsip desain secara ilmiah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa bahan ajar sangat valid (Sr=4,76) dan praktis (Pr=3,79). Selain itu, melalui refleksi pembelajaran diperoleh sebanyak 73,3% mahasiswa memahami konsep yang diberikan, 46,7% mahasiswa mengaitkan pengetahuan mahasiswa sebelumnya, 40% mahasiswa setuju dosen melakukan pembimbingan saat mahasiswa menyelesaikan masalah, 53,3% mahasiswa mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berdiskusi dan menyampaikan pendapat, dan 40% mahasiswa setuju bahwa dosen memberikan kesempatan untuk mengevaluasi diri melalui tugas yang diberikan dalam e-learning. Saran untuk penelitian berikutnya adalah dapat melanjutkan penelitian eksperimen untuk mengukur pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar yang telah dikembangkan.The impact of the pandemic has forced students to prefer learning by using e-learning or WhatsApp compared to other platforms. This encourages researchers to provide teaching materials that are integrated with the latest technology that is adaptive and can be accessed anytime and anywhere by students. The purpose of this research is to develop a valid and practical teaching materials in Integral Calculus course based on Computational Thinking (CT) approach. The development model used is a research design model of the type of development studies by Plomp such as preliminary research, prototyping, and assesments. The instruments of the research are questionnaire of expert validity, students’ response of e-modul and learning process. The data analyzed by systematic reflection and documentation to produce scientific theories or principle. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the teaching material is compelling (Sr=4.76) and practical (Pr=3.79). Meanwhile, as measured through the reflection of CT-based learning was obtained by as many as 73.3% of students understood the concepts given, 46.7% of students linked previous student knowledge, 40% of students agree that lecturers provide guidance when students solve problems, 53.3% of students get the opportunity to discuss and convey their thoughts during lectures, and 40% of students agree that lecturers provide opportunities to evaluate themselves through assignments given in e-learning. Suggestions for future research are to continue experimental research in measuring the effect of using developed teaching materials.
