Abstract

Representasi matematis diperlukan dalam menyelesaikan masalah realistik, yakni sebagai mediator penyelesaian permasalahan sehari-hari. Translasi representasi dari suatu permasalahan realistik menjadi model matematis diperlukan sebagai pemahaman terhadap permasalahan yang diberikan untuk ditentukan solusi permasalahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses translasi permasalahan realistik menjadi representasi matematis pada Mahasiswa Teknik Informatika. Penugasan penyelesaian masalah realistik dan tanya jawab pada perkuliahan Aljabar Linear dan Matriks digunakan untuk memperoleh deskripsi proses translasi. Data dianalisis berdasarkan tahapan translasi representasi matematis yaitu mengeksplorasi sumber, menyusun pengetahuan awal, membangun target representasi, dan menentukan kesesuaian hasil representasi dengan sumber. Hasilnya adalah mahasiswa mengeksplorasi sumber dengan membaca informasi sumber, selanjutnya menguraikan informasi sumber dengan bahasa alami, membuat kode berdasarkan informasi sumber dan mengaitkannya dengan konsep matematika, mengaitkan konsep matematika dari representasi sumber ke representasi target, serta mengevaluasi representasi target. Temuan-temuan ini dapat digunakan dosen sebagai dasar mendesain pembelajaran pada mahasiswa non-program studi matematika guna mengurangi peluang kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan masalah realistik. Kata kunci: Masalah realistik; representasi matematis; translasi.Mathematical representation is needed in solving realistic problems, namely as a mediator in solving realistic problems. Mathematical representation translation of a realistic problem into a mathematical model that is needed as an understanding of the given problem to determine the problem solution. This study aims to describe the process of translation of realistic problems into mathematical representations for Informatics Engineering Students. Realistic problem solving assignments and interviews in Linear Algebra and Matrix lecture is used to obtain a description of the translation process. Data were analyzed based on the stages of translation of mathematical representations, namely unpacking the source, preliminary coordination, constructing the target, and determining equivalence. The result is that students unpacking the source by reading source information, then describe source information in natural language, code based on source information and relate it to mathematical concepts, link mathematical concepts from source representation to target representation, and evaluate target representations. These findings can be used by lecturers as a basis for designing learning for students non-departement of Mathematics in order to reduce the chance of errors in solving realistic problems. Keywords: Mathematical representation; realistic problem; translation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis filsafat yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Lubuk. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan dua tahapan yaitu preliminary (tahap persiapan, analisis dan desain) dan formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, dan field tes). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu walkthrough, angket, tes, dan wawancara. Hasil lembar validasi diperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 84% dengan kriteria cukup valid atau dapat digunakan dengan revisi berdasarkan saran, koemntar, dan kesulitan yang siswa alami pada tahap expert review dan one to one. Dan hasil penilaian angket yang dilakukan diperoleh persentase dengan rata-rata sebesar 82,92% dengan kriteria praktis dan telah direvisi berdasarkan saran dan komentar pada tahap small group. LKPD juga memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dilihat dari hasil tes siswa terdapat 18 siswa telah mencapai nilai ketuntasan minimal dengan persentase 56,25%, serta kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar termasuk kategori cukup dengan rata-rata 66,6. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis filsafat dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep pada materi operasi bentuk aljabar.This study aims to produce a philosophy based worksheet that is valid, practical, and has a potential effect on students' conceptual understanding abilities of algebraic form operations. The subjects of this study were students of class VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Lubuk. This type of research is development research which two stages, namely preliminary (preparation, analysis and design) and formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, and field test). Data collection techniques were walkthrough, questionnaire, test, and interview. The validation results obtained an average percentage of 84% with valid criteria or can be used with revisions based on suggestions, comments, and difficulties the student experienced at expert review and one to one. And the results of the assessment carried out obtained an average of 82.92% with practical criteria and have been revised based on suggestions and at the small group stage. LKPD also has the potential for students' conceptual understanding abilities,  seen from the results of student tests, there are 18 students had achieved a minimum completeness score with a proportion of 56.25%, as well as students' conceptual understanding skills on algebraic form operations including the category enough with an average of 66.6. This shows that philosophy based worksheets can assist students understanding the concept of algebraic forms operations.

Abstract

AbstrakProses berpikir kreatif dibutuhkan siswa salah satunya untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika yang berkaitan dengan pembuktian. Proses berpikir kreatif berhubungan dengan kognisi seseorang sehingga gaya kognisi dapat mempengaruhi proses berpikir kreatif. Pada penelitian ini, gaya kognisi dibagi menjadi Reflektif dan Impulsif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kreatif siswa ditinjau dari gaya reflektif-impulsif dalam menyelesaikan masalah pembuktian dasar trigonometri. Penelitian ini berjenis deskritif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa sekolah menengah atas dengan karakteristik gaya reflektif dan impulsif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), lembar tes, dan lembar wawancara. Lembar MFFT digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi gaya kognitif siswa, lembar tes digunakan untuk melihat proses berpikir kreatif siswa, dan lembar wawancara digunakan sebagai pendukung data hasil tes dalam melihat proses berpikir kreatif. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 29 siswa yang diberikan tes MFFT diperoleh 10 siswa memiliki karakteristik gaya kognitif reflektif dan 2 siswa memiliki gaya kognitif impulsif. Siswa reflektif memiliki tahapan yang lebih baik pada proses berpikir kreatif daripada siswa impulsif. Namun demikian hasil akhir pembuktian identitas trigonometri adalah sama baik siswa reflektif maupun impulsif. AbstractThe creative thinking process is needed only by students to solve mathematical problems related to proof. The creative thinking process connect to one's cognition so that the cognitive style can affect the creative thinking process. In this study, the cognitive style is divided into Reflective and Impulsive. This study aims to describe the creative thinking process in terms of the reflective-impulsive style in proving trigonometric identity problems. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were high school students with reflective and impulsive style characteristics. The instruments used are the Matching Familiar Figure Test (MFFT), test sheets, and interview sheets. MFFT sheets are used to identify students' cognitive styles, test sheets are used to see students' creative thinking processes, and interview sheets are used to support test result data in seeing creative thinking processes. Data with analysis of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that from 29 students who were given the MFFT test, 10 students had the characteristics of a reflective cognitive style and 2 students had an impulsive cognitive style. Reflective students have better creative thinking process than impulsive students. However, the final result of proving trigonometric identity is the same for both reflective and impulsive students.

Abstract

Perubahan paradigma pembelajaran tatap muka ke daring akibat pandemi Covid-19, memunculkan berbagai pandangan mahasiswa terkait pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Berbagai penelitian sudah membahas persepsi tersebut, tetapi masih sedikit yang membahas instrumen pengukurnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan instrusmen angket untuk mengukur persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika terhadappembelajaran daring yang valid juga reliabel. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu dua validator yang merupakan dosen ahli dan 59 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Riau sebagai responden. Penelitian ini memperoleh data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisismenggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Nilai validitas dan reliabilitas angket berturut-turut sebesar 0,495 dan 0,85 yang berarti kriteria valid juga reliabel terpenuhi. Angket yang dihasilkan memuat 21 butir pernyataan yang mewakili 12 indikator,  yaitu masing-masing 1 butir pernyataan untuk indikator menumbuhkan sikap aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, menumbuhkan motivasi dalam proses pembelajaran, dan menumbuhkan sikap belajar mandiri; masing-masing 2 butir pernyataan untuk indikator meningkatkan pemahaman, penyajian materi kuliah yang diharapkan, pengelolaan kelas yang diharapkan, penilaian yang diharapkan, akses yang diharapkan, penyajian materi kuliah yang terjadi, pengelolaan kelas yang terjadi, penilaian yang terjadi, dan akses yang terjadi. The change in the paradigm from face-to-face learning to online due to the Covid-19 pandemic has raised various student views regarding implementing online learning. Various studies have discussed this perception, but few discuss the measuring instrument. So, this research aims to produce a questionnaire instrument to measure the perceptions of mathematics education students towards valid and reliable online learning. This research is ADDIE development research. The subjects of this study were two expert lecturers as validators and 59 students of Mathematics Education at the Universitas Riau as respondents. This study obtained qualitative and quantitative data using analytical techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The validity and reliability values of the questionnaire are 0.495 and 0.85, respectively, which means that the valid criteria are also reliably met. The resulting questionnaire contains 21 statements representing 12 indicators, namely 1 statement each for indicators of growing an active attitude in the learning process, growing motivation in the learning process, and fostering an independent learning attitude; 2 statements each for indicators of improving understanding, presentation of expected lecture materials, expected class management, expected assessment, expected access, presentation of lecture material that occurs, classroom management that occurs, assessment that occurs, and access that occurs.

Abstract

  This study aims to develop a mathematics learning tool consisting of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKS), and a Computational Thinking Test (CT Test) using the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model with a Realistic approach. Mathematics Education (RME) which is valid, practical and effective and examines its effect on the computational thinking ability of junior high school students. This research combines development research (R&D) and experimental research. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation of student activities, observation of the implementation of learning devices, student response questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests in the form of CT tests. The results showed that the learning tools met the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. The validity coefficients for lesson plans, worksheets, and CT tests were 3.80, respectively; 3.80; and 3.81. The value of practicality seen from the results of observations of the implementation of learning devices is in the very practical category with a percentage of 98%. The value of the effectiveness of learning tools shows that 92% of students are active, 98% of students respond positively to learning, and 77% of students complete learning. Based on the t-test on the results of experimental research, it was found that the SSCS model learning device with the RME approach had a significant effect on students' computational thinking abilities.

Abstract

Covid-19 telah mengubah tatanan dunia dan bidang-bidang kehidupan, mulai dari bisang sosial, kesehatan, ekonomi, dan tidak terkecuali bidang pendidikan. Adapun untuk bidang pendidikan pemerintah telah membuat kebijakan dengan menghentikan kegiatan tatap muka (pembelajaran luring) dan diganti dengan pembelajaran daring. Pada titik inilah seorang guru dituntut untuk memiliki Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge (TPACK). TPACK merupakan sebuah kerangka konseptual yang memperlihatkan hubungan antara tiga pengetahuan yang harus dikuasai oleh guru, yaitu teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan TPACK pada kelas Kalkulus Integral dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Instrumen kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri, karena peneliti yang mengumpulkan sendiri data melalui observasi, atau wawancara dengan subjek. Untuk menunjang data penelitian, diperlukan instrumen pendukung, yaitu: (1) Angket untuk memotret TPACK Dosen pada kelas Kalkulus Integral, dan (2) Lembar Observasi, untuk mencatat hal-hal penting selama proses pelaksanaan observasi pada kelas virtual.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 7 komponen TPACK sebagian besar persepsi mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa TPACK pada kelas Kalkulus menunjukan hasil baik dan sangat baik dan sebagian kecil menunjukkan hasil kurang baik dan cukup.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Islamic mathematical literacy level and Keirsey personality type (Artisan, Idealist, Guardian, and Rational) in prospective mathematics teacher students, Teacher Training Faculty of IAIN Kediri. In addition, this study also aims to describe the Islamic mathematical literacy ability of prospective mathematics teacher students at the Teacher Training Faculty of IAIN Kediri, in terms of Keirsey's personality type. This research design uses a mixed-methods approach. In the quantitative approach, the type of research is correlational with a total sample of 151 students. While in the qualitative approach, the respondents used were 4 students who represented each Keirsey personality type. Sampling technique in the form of purposive sampling. There is no relationship between the level of mathematical literacy with Keirsey's personality type in prospective mathematics teacher students at the Teacher Training Faculty of IAIN Kediri. The correlation between personality type and the level of Islamic mathematical literacy of prospective mathematics teachers at IAIN Kediri was obtained with a significance of 0.22986. This means that the strength of the relationship between the two variables is included in the weak category. In the process of formulating context mathematically, there is no difference between research subjects in all personality types. All subjects can formulate context, understand, and translate problems into mathematical language or appropriate representations. In the process of using concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning, the findings show that subjects with rational personality types are able to determine strategically in the use of mathematical concepts and are successful compared to other personality types. In the process of interpreting, applying, and evaluating the results, the findings show that subjects with rational and idealistic personality types can check the reasonableness of the solution. Meanwhile, in the artisan and guardian types, the contrary happens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai maksud yakni memahami efektifnya aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan GeoGebra dilihat dari kemampuan berfikir kreatif matematika murid. Metode dari penelitian yang dipilih ialah kuantitatif. murid kelas XI SMKN 6 Jember menjadi populasi dalam penelitian. Sampel pada penelitian diambil melalui cara acak yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol serta eksperimen dengan memakai metode cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ialah instrumen berupa pre-test serta post-test untuk memahami kemampuan berfikir kreatif matematika murid. Desain penelitian ialah penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan tehnik analisa data yang dipakai ialah uji parametik yakni independent sample t-test. Penelitian mendapatkan hasil jika kemampuan murid meningkat sesudah mengikuti aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan geogebra. Hasil dari nilai post-test dalam kelas ekserimen lebih tinggi dibanding hasil nilai post-test dalam kelas kontrol serta rata-rata nilai N-Gain score dalam kelas eksperimen senilai 68.8% dikategorikan cukup efektif. Dalam kelas kontrol senilai 42.8% dikategorikan kurang efektif. Sehingga bisa diambil simpulan jika aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan GeoGebra efektif dalam peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif murid materi transformasi geometri refleksi. In this study, we will determine GeoGebra-assisted effectiveness discovery teaching and learning activities model in terms of students' creative thinking skills, which integrates the quantitative methods. The research population are class XI students at SMKN 6 Jember, divided into control and experimental class. Sampling using cluster random sampling method. The study data are instruments in the form of post-test and pre-test to determine student creative thinking ability in mathematics. The study results indicate an increase in students using GeoGebra-assisted discovery learning models. The post-test result in the experimental class is greater than the post-test result in the control class. The research design is a quasi-experimental, with data analysis techniques using parametric independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis show that the average N-Gain value in the test class is 68.8%, entered in the category is quite effective. For comparison, the average N-Gain value in the control class is 42.8% which is categorized as less effective. It implies that the implementation of discovery teaching and learning model using GeoGebra effective to improve the students' creative thinking skill on the reflection geometry transformation material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SD yang termasuk dalam kategori lambat belajar yang menerapkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme dan konvensional. Peneliti mengolah data menggunakan program SPSS 16 for Windows dan Microsoft Office Excel 2007 untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa slow learner kelas V SDN Adabiah Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan wawancara dengan pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui pre-test dan post-test keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada akhir pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme dan pembelajaran konvensional. Data tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah diperoleh dari 16 siswa, 8 siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme, dan 8 siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Data tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah diperoleh dari 16 siswa, 8 siswa kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Konstruktivisme, dan 8 siswa kelas kontrol yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini terjadi peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, termasuk pemahaman perencanaan masalah untuk pemecahan masalah berupa pemecahan masalah dari penerapan beberapa konsep pembelajaran matematika. Bukti dari data skor gain yang dinormalisasi (N-gain) antara kedua kelas dapat dilihat.The purpose of this study is to study the improvement of problem-solving skills of elementary students who fall into the category of slow learners who apply to learn using constructivism and conventional learning models. Researchers processed data using the SPSS 16 for Windows and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 programs to achieve these goals. The subjects in this study were students of slow learner class V Adabiah Padang Elementary School. Data collection techniques with observations and interviews with observation and interview guidelines. The results showed that through pre-test and post-test problem-solving skills at the end of learning using the Constructivism Learning Model and conventional learning. The problem-solving skills test data were obtained from 16 students, 8 experimental class students applying the Constructivism Learning Model, and 8 control class students who applied conventional learning. The application of this learning model occurs an increase in problem-solving skills, including understanding problem planning for problem-solving in the form of problem-solving from the application of several mathematical learning concepts. The evidence from data on normalized gain scores (N-gain) between the two classes may be seen.

Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) merupakan kecerdasan dalam mengatasi  kesulitan dengan  menentukan berbagai strategi dan menjadi penentu dalam kepampuan menyelesaian masalah. Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika bagi siswa merupakan suatu persoalan pokok yang perlu ditinjau lebih lanjut berdasarkan Adversity Quotient (AQ). Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa ditinjau dari adversity quotient dengan kategori climbers, campers, dan quitters. Penelitian merupakan deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Sungguminasa Kabupaten Gowa dengan subjek sebanyak 3 orang yang mewakili masing-masing kategori adversity quotient. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes, dan wawancara. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara tiga kategori adversity quotient dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, dimana; siswa kategori climbers memiliki kemampuan yang sangat baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah dengan memenuhi keempat indikator yaitu memahami, merencanakan, melaksanakan pemecahan masalah, dan melakukan evaluasi kembali. Selanjutnya, siswa kategori campers ditemukan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang cukup dengan mampu memenuhi tiga indikator yaitu memahami, merencanakan, dan melaksanakan pemecahan masalah. Sedangkan siswa kategori quitters ditemukan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang rendah, dimana hanya mampu memenuhi satu indikator penyelesaian masalah yaitu memahami masalah. Adversity Quotient (AQ) is intelligence in overcoming difficulties by determining various strategies and becoming the determinant in solving the problems. The poor mathematical problem-solving ability of students is a major problem that needs to be reviewed further based on the Adversity Quotient (AQ). The main purpose of this research is to analyze and describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in terms of the adversity quotient in the categories of climbers, campers, and quitters. This research is a qualitative descriptive that was conducted on eighth grade students of SMPN 3 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency with 3 subjects representing each adversity quotient category. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data collected was then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this research indicate that there are differences between three adversity quotient categories in mathematical problem solving abilities, where; Climbers category students have very good ability in solving problems by fulfilling the four indicators, namely understanding, planning, implementing problem solving, and re-evaluating. Furthermore, the campers category students were found to have sufficient problem-solving ability by being able to meet three indicators, namely understanding, planning, and implementing problem solving. Meanwhile, students in the quitters category were found to have low problem-solving abilities, which were only able to fulfill one problem-solving indicator, namely understanding the problem
