Abstract

Indonesia student’s understanding of Mathematics is very low. This study aims to determine the positive effect of the Realistic Mathematical Education learning approach on the learning outcomes of grade III fractions at SD Negeri 2 Riau Silip. This research method is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. Population Data collection techniques use an instrument with a total of 5 questions, both pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential analysis with the help of the SPSS 23 program on prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the study stated that the results of the descriptive analysis showed an increase in the average score of students' learning outcomes was 40.72 to 72.55. In addition, the results of the inferential analysis showed a significance value of 0.001 <0.05 so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This states that RME has a positive influence on the learning outcomes of class III students at SD Negeri 2 Riau Silip.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis (KPMM) sangat penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Namun berdasarkan PISA 2018, penelitian terdahulu serta hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih memiliki KPMM yang rendah. Rendahnya KPMM siswa dikarenakan matematika yang bersifat abstrak. Media pembelajaran dapat membuat sesuatu yang abstrak menjadi lebih konkrit serta penggunaan pendekatan scientific dapat memfasilitasi KPMM siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis pendekatan scientific berbantu Articulate Storyline 3 materi garis dan sudut untuk memfasilitasi KPMM siswa SMP/MTs yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan Model Pengembangan yaitu Model 4D. Penelitian ini melibatkan 21 siswa kelas VIII SMP di Kota Duri. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kevalidan dan data kepraktisan. Data kevalidan diperoleh dari angket validasi yang diserahkan kepada para ahli atau validator. Data kepraktisan diperoleh dari angket respon siswa yang disebar kepada responden. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh persentase rata-rata validasi aspek media bernilai 97,21 (sangat valid), aspek materi 97,07 (sangat valid), aspek pendekatan scientific 92,08 (sangat valid) dan aspek KPMM 95,22 (sangat valid). Hasil kepraktisan pada small group test bernilai 90,43 (sangat praktis) dan pada field test sebesar 83,96 (praktis). Dari hasil penilaian ahli, small group test dan field test disimpulkan media pembelajaran matematika yang dihasilkan valid dan praktis.AbstractMathematical Problem Solving Ability (KPMM) is very important in learning mathematics. However, based on PISA 2018, previous research and the results of the questionnaire showed that students still had low CAR. The low KPMM of students is caused by abstract mathematics. Learning media can make something abstract more concrete and the use of a scientific approach can facilitate students' KPMM. This study aims to produce mathematics learning media based on a scientific approach assisted by Articulate Storyline 3 material on lines and angles to facilitate valid and practical KPMM for SMP/MTs students. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the Development Model, namely the 4D Model. This research involved 21 students of grade 8 SMPS in Duri City. The data collected in this study are validity data and practicality data. Validity data was obtained from validation questionnaires submitted to experts or validators. Practicality data was obtained from student response questionnaires which were distributed to respondents. Based on data analysis, it was obtained that the average percentage of the media aspect validation was 97.21 (very valid), the material aspect was 97.07 (very valid), the scientific approach aspect was 92.08 (very valid) and the KPMM aspect was 95.22 (very valid). . The practicality result on the small group test was 90.43 (very practical) and on the field test it was 83.96 (practical). From the results of expert assessments, small group tests and field tests, it was concluded that the mathematics learning media produced was valid and practical.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui learning obstacle yang dialami mahasiswa Teknik dalam menyelesaikan masalah integral sebagai antiderivative. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi awal terhadap permasalahan yang dialami mahasiswa Teknik Sipil. Tidak sedikit mahasiswa Teknik Sipil yang menganggap materi integral merupakan materi yang sulit. Materi integral menjadi materi yang penting karena merupakan prasyarat dalam mata kuliah lain pada program studi Teknik Sipil Learning obstacle bagian dalam teori situasi didaktis yang hasil penelitiannya sangat penting untuk dijadikan dasar dalam membuat desain didaktis pada DDR untuk meminimalisir learning obstacle tersebut.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.. Sampel penelitian dua kelompok mahasiswa Teknik Sipil di Universitas Sangga Buana di Kota Bandung. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui instrument TKR pemahaman konsep integral yang dilaksanakan secara daring untuk kelompok pertama (5 orang mahasiswa) dan luring untuk kelompok kedua (9 orang mahasiswa), dilanjutkan dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Teknik mengalami Ontogenical learning obstacle psikologis dan konseptual serta epistemological learning obstacle. Mahasiswa cenderung lemah pada konsep dasar materi prasyarat termasuk perhitungan bilangan dan operasi aljabar, cenderung dan kesulitan dalam menginterpretasikan rumus integral sehingga sulit untuk memecahkan masalah dengan menggunakan integral.AbstractThis study aims to determine the learning obstacles experienced by Engineering students in solving integral problems as antiderivatives. This research is based on the results of initial observations of the problems experienced by Civil Engineering students. Not a few Civil Engineering students consider integral material to be difficult material. Integral material becomes important material because it is a prerequisite in other subjects in the Civil Engineering study program. Learning obstacle is part of the theory of didactic situations whose research results are very important to be used as a basis for making didactic designs in DDR to minimize these learning obstacles.. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research.. The research sample is two groups of Civil Engineering students at Sangga Buana University in Bandung City. Research data were obtained through the TKR instrument for understanding integral concepts which were carried out online for the first group (5 students) and offline for the second group (9 students), followed by interviews. The results showed that engineering students experienced psychological and conceptual ontogenical learning obstacles and epistemological learning obstacles. Students tend to be weak in the basic concepts of prerequisite material including number calculations and algebraic operations, tend to and have difficulty interpreting integral formulas making it difficult to solve problems using integrals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan produk alur belajar barisan dan deret berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan kombinasi model pengembangan Plomp dan Gravemeijer & Cobb. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan dimana masih banyaknya siswa terkendala belajar matematika dan menyelesaikan permasalahan sehari-hari matematika serta masih kurangnya guru membuat alur belajar berbasis masalah yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa khususnya di Pasaman barat. Pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan uji validasi oleh ahli matematika, ahli bahasa dan ahli teknologi pendidikan serta uji kelayakan produk oleh guru dan siswa. Instrument pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi, observasi, wawancara, angket dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan teknik deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh data validasi para ahli 0,77 dengan kriteria “valid” dan indeks Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) 0,54 kategori sedang. Sedangkan untuk buku guru diperoleh data validasi 0,75 kategori “valid” dan indeks ICC 0,72 kategori sedang. Validasi para ahli untuk buku siswa 0,77 dengan kategori “valid” dan indeks ICC 0,68 kategori sedang. Uji kelayakan produk oleh siswa (kelompok kecil) 80,91 % dengan kategori “praktis”dan uji kelayakan kelompok besar 82,71% dengan kriteria kriteria “praktis”. This study aims to determine the product development process for sequences and series based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This development research uses a combination of the Plomp and Gravemeijer & Cobb development models. This research was carried out based on the results of a preliminary study where there were still many students who were constrained by learning mathematics and solving everyday math problems and there was still a lack of teachers making problem-based learning paths that were close to students' daily lives, especially in West Pasaman. In this study, validation tests were carried out by mathematicians, linguists and educational technologists as well as product feasibility tests by teachers and students. Data collection instruments were validation sheets, observations, interviews, questionnaires and field notes. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics and descriptive techniques. From the results of the analysis, the expert validation data was 0.77 with the criteria of "valid" and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) index was 0.54 in the moderate category. As for the teacher's book, the validation data was 0.75 in the "valid" category and the ICC index was 0.72 in the moderate category. Expert validation for student books is 0.77 in the "valid" category and the ICC index is 0.68 in the moderate category. Product feasibility test by students (small group) 80.91% with the "practical" category and large group feasibility test 82.71% with "practical" criteria.

Abstract

Meaningful Instruction Design (MID) merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengutamakan kebermaknaan bagi siswa agar memudahkan siswa dalam mengingat kembali materi yang telah dipelajari. Alasan dilakukan penelitian ini dikarenakan studi pendahuluan yang mengatakan bahwa pembelajaran matematika masih disajikan secara abstrak, serta dengan model yang konvensional sehingga terkesan membosankan, serta kesulitan guru dalam menjelaskan materi matematika terutama pada materi pecahan. Hal ini tentunya berdampak pada perolehan hasil belajar. Maka dari itu, diperlukan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbasis kehidupan nyata yang akan memudahkan dalam menjelaskan pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model MID dengan pendekatan RME terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis praeksperimen dengan desain pretes dan postes satu grup. Teknik pengambilan sampel seacra bertujuan sebanyak 20 sampel dari total populasi sebanyak 23 siswa. Dari hasil perhitungan, rata-rata pretest dan postes siswa yaitu sebesar 22,762 yang memiliki kenaikan hasil belajar yang signifkan. Kemudian dari signifikansi yang diperoleh yaitu 0,00 < 0,05 dengan t hitung sebesar 9,316 > 2,086 (t tabel), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model MID dengan pendekatan RME memiliki pengaruh positif dalam peningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa materi pecahan.

Abstract

Abstrak Pentingnya pembelajaran matematika tidak hanya mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif, tetapi juga afektif. Salah satu kemampuan afektif adalah disposisi matematis. Berbagai penelitian terkait disposisi matematis telah dilaksanakan peneliti di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji tren penelitian tentang disposisi matematis di Indonesia. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang mengkaji artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan di jurnal pendidikan matematika yang terakreditasi oleh Science and Technology Index (SINTA2). Fokus utama penelitian adalah disposisi matematis. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan jumlah publikasi artikel disposisi matematis siswa pada beberapa tahun. Pada publikasi tersebut, jenis penelitian yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Mahasiswa S1 menjadi subjek penelitian yang paling banyak diteliti, sedangkan pendekatan Problem-Based Learning merupakan perlakuan atau model pembelajaran yang sering digunakan pada penelitian tersebut. Disposisi matematis paling banyak dikaitkan dengan aspek kemampuan kognitif HOTS. Analisis statistik deskriptif dan Uji-t adalah metode analisis data yang paling umum digunakan pada penelitian terkait disposisi matematis siswa. Berdasar pada temuan penelitian ini, beberapa rekomendasi diusulkan untuk penelitian mendatang yang mendukung disposisi matematis siswa antara lain meningkatkan keragaman jenis penelitian, dalam hal ini penelitian tidak terbatas pada penelitian jenis kuantitatif dan kualititatif, tetapi pada penelitian jenis lain yang belum atau jarang dilakukan yaitu Class Room Action Research (CAR) atau Research & Development (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk instruksional untuk meningkatkan kemampuan diposisi matematis.Abstract The importance of learning mathematics not only does go beyond the development of cognitive skills but also includes affective skills such as mathematical disposition. Several studies related to mathematical disposition have been conducted in Indonesia. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the research trend on mathematical disposition in Indonesia. This current study utilizes Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to review scientific articles published in mathematics education journals accredited by the Science and Technology Index (SINTA2). The focus was on mathematical disposition. The study found an increasing number of publications on students' mathematical disposition in recent years. The research revealed that quantitative research was the most common type of research. Undergraduate students were the most researched subjects and Problem-Based Learning was the treatment or learning model commonly used. Mathematical disposition was found to be most often associated with higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Descriptive statistical analysis and t-test were the most used data analysis methods related to students' mathematical disposition. Based on the findings, several recommendations were proposed for future research to support students' mathematical disposition. These include increasing the diversity of research types, such as Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Research & Development (R&D) to improve mathematical disposition. Furthermore, future research should expand the scope of research by including other types of research that are rarely or not yet conducted, such as qualitative research. It is important to emphasize the significance of developing students' mathematical disposition as it can positively impact their future academic and career success.

Abstract

Kajian mengenai matematika dalam budaya perlu dikembangkan, sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran kepada masyarakat mengenai peranan matematika dalam budaya. Pada akhirnya, hasil kajian ini dapat digunakan sebagai referensi pendukung pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep transformasi geometri yang ada pada motif batik melati Desa Kebon, Bayat. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode etnografi. Data dalam penelitian ini diambil melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan pengrajin batik, ahli batik dan ahli matematika. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa batik melati telah menggunakan konsep transformasi geometri dalam pembuatan motif batik khas Desa Kebon, Bayat. Di dalam batik melati terdapat konsep translasi pada motif garuda dan motif daun, konsep rotasi  pada motif garuda dan motif daun, dan konsep refleksi pada motif bunga melati dan motif daun.

Abstract

Each region has a cultural heritage that has been passed down for generations, even in areas within one country have various kinds of cultural heritage.  One of the areas in Indonesia that has a cultural heritage is Merauke Regency which is inhabited by the Malind Tribe.  This study aims to apply real experiences that can be found in the Malind (Papua) tribe as material in curriculum development that can be applied in the South Papua region. This research was conducted in a village located in Kaiburse, Merauke Regency, which is inhabited by the Malind people. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Researchers continuously participate actively in the field by recording and analyzing and representing all findings found in the field. The approach used in order to analyze in depth all forms of cultural heritage values found in the indigenous people of the Marind tribe who inhabit Kaiburse Village. The real experience gained based on the results of observations, interviews in the field and documentation during the research that is then carried out is data triangulation. This research produces an explanation of local wisdom in mathematics material. This research can be the main source of the government to integrate local wisdom in learning in schools

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dikelas harus dapat memberi pembelajaran yang bermakna serta dapat menggunakan teknologi dalam pembelajarannya agar siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dan mendukung kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi seperti kemampuan communication, problem solving dan self-efficacy siswa dengan pendekatan saintifik melalui model pembelajaran STEM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen quasi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam kegiatan penelitian ini adalah One-Group Pretest-Post-test Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Silaen semester genap pada materi trigonometri dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 18 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa intrumen tes dan non tes. Instrumen jenis tes adalah tes kemampuan komunikas dan problem solving berupa prestest dan post-test sedangkan instrumen non-tes adalah angket Self-efficacy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran STEM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan communication dan problem solving serta meningkatkan self-efficacy siswa.

Abstract

The ability to think critically in mathematics is one of the thinking skills needed by students to obtain a problem-solving procedure and to find logical results, especially when facing developments in the 21st century. One of them is by implementing cooperative learning assisted by liveworksheets. The purpose of this study was to determine students' critical thinking skills in the implementation of cooperative learning assisted by liveworksheets. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 30 students in class VIII-I. Research instruments in the form of lesson plans, observation sheets, tests, and interviews. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and interviews. The results showed that the student's critical thinking skills were mostly 72.36%, including the high category and the level of students' activeness in learning mathematics was 82.1%
