Abstract

The aim of this research is to gain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing instructional sets of mathematics through PjBL learning with realistic saintific approach and PISA-based measurements and to describe students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of KAM aspects and PISA measurement process. The development research using modified Plomp model. The tools developed include RPP, LAS, and TKLMBP. Data processed by -test, the proportion of -test, and gain test. The results showed: (1) The instructional sets PjBL model with realistic scientific approaches and PISA-based measurements to develop students' mathematical literacy skills is validity, practicality, and effectiveness; (2) The ability of students' mathematical literacy to based on the KAM aspects obtained in the three KAM groups is statistically significantly increased; and (3) students' mathematical literacy skills to based on aspects of PISA measurement, most students can solve problems that are in accordance with aspects of PISA measurement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences and comparisons of mathematics learning result using the talking stick cooperative learning model and STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) based on IT with number operation lesson for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Banyubiru. This research model is a quasi-experimental research using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection instruments in this study consisted of instruments of teacher observation sheets, instruments test and documentation. Both selected classes have been ascertained homogeneous before being treated. Analysis of the final activity data shows the average learning outcomes of mathematics on learning the talking stick type is 91.88 higher than the STAD type learning model which is 84.84. The results of hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney U test produce sig values. (2 tailed) 0.020 <0.05 it can be concluded that the two learning models applied have different learning result in mathematics.

Abstract

The aim of this study is  to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills in trigonometry courses whose learning uses trigonometric teaching materials with knisley mathematical models compared to those that do not use teaching materials. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental with a sample of fourth semester students. The instrument used in this study is a test of critical thinking skills as much as 5. Abstract

The objective of this development research was to produce the learning  materials of sequence and series based on interactive multimedia that were valid and practical to use for the student. This research type was Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this research was Plomp model consisting of three phases, namely preliminary research, prototype, and assessment. The instrument used questionnaire consisting of two types of questionnaires, the first expert validation questionnaire conducted by two material experts and two learning material design experts. The second, the student response questionnaire was conducted by 10 students of Vocational high School of Muhammadiyah 1 Metro. Based on the validations process were obtained the result that  the average percentage of material experts was 82.01% in the very feasible category. The results of the assessment of students' response questionnaires was obtained the average percentage of 87.55% with a very practical category. Based on the exposure to the results of the validity and practicality test, it can be concluded that the learning  materials of sequence and series based on interactive multimedia are valid and practical for learning.

Abstract

This study aims to discover the effect of e-learning media with guided discovery learning method of students’ self regulated  learning in mathematics. The study employed quasi-experimental method using two classes which are experiment and control class. The subject of this study are 79 eight grade students. The instrument used is self regulated learning questionnaire. The learning process of the experiment class implement only e-learning media with guided discovery method while the control class implement only guided discovery method. The result shows that students’ self regulated learning in the experiment class higher than the control class. It can be concluded that e-learning media with guided discovery method is effective based on students’ self regulated learning in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process, specifications, and teacher perception about developing a teacher guide module in making mathematical assessment instruments based on mathematical problem-solving. This research used Research and Development method is used to produce certain products namely the teacher guide module. The development model used in this study is the development model that has been combined from (Marshall, 2009) (Bishopb, 2012) (Rusdi, 2018)became the reference, while in this development research only arrived at producing products and not tested on a student. The steps consist the analysis of problems and needs, literature review, product design, validity, a trial practitioners. The research subjects in this development were two validators consisting of material expert test validators. The type of data taken in this study is qualitative data. The instrument used in the study was an open questionnaire. The stages of the process of developing are (a) Analysis of problems and needs, (b) Literature review, (c) Product design, (d) Validity, (e) Trial of practitioners. The product specifications developed in the module are three chapters on introduction, concepts, and procedures along with examples using the type of problem-solving, namely problem-solving and story problem design. The teacher's perception of the teacher guideline module is positive, from five practitioners recommending that it be used as a guide in making problem-solving questions.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan metakognitif siswa dalam proses pemecahan masalah. Kemampuan metakognitif merupakan kemampuan siswa dalam mengontrol kemampuan kognitif. Kesuksesan seseorang dalam belajar adalah yang mampu mengelola kemampuan kognitif mereka sendiri. Kemampuan metakognitif menekankan untuk melakukan kegiatan perencanaan, memantau serta mengevaluasi terhadap pemecahan masalah. Keberhasilan siswa dalam proses pemecahan masalah merupakan suatu yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Seorang siswa yang berhasil dalam pemecahan masalah akan dapat menerapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.  Penelitian ini akan mendeskripsikan bagaimana siswa melakukan proses metakognitif dalam proses pemecahan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari  lembar tes pemecahan masalah serta pedoman wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dari lembar tes pemecahan masalah merupakan dasar dalam melakukan wawancara dengan subjek untuk mengetahui metakognitif yang dilakukan. Tes akan diberikan kepada 3 orang subjek yang terdiri dari siswa kemampuan rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Hasil penelitian bahwa subjek dengan dengan kemampuan tinggi melakukan proses metakognitif dengan baik hal ini dikarenakan subjek sudah memiliki konsep-konsep yang dibutuhkan. Untuk subjek dengan kemampuan sedang dan rendah cendrung kurang berhasil dalam proses metakognitif, hal ini disebabkan tidak cukupnya konsep yang dimiliki.
