Abstract

The research was conducted in Notoharjo Trimurjo Lampung Tengah at January 10 2012 until April 05 2012. The purpose from the research were 1) to know the effect distance of plants with tomato productions. 2) to know the effect of distance of plants that more exact with tomato production. The population of the research was 96 tomato plant with 4 do it and 3 crop. The total sample of plant was bruoght 32 of tomato plants. The research was conducted by using experimental design especially Completed Randomized Design (RAL), and the data analysis by using  ANOVA and BNJ test. In varians analys have the value from  do it 5,97 >= 2,95 to warel of real level 0,05. So that push  and received H1. And at BNJ test we can know average from other test A=1,5;B=1,37;C=1,75; and D=2. From this research we can know the congclution that (1) this have a influence of a plants with a tomato productions and (2) plant with using a plants distance 70 x 50 cm give a better influence with a plants tomato production. From the result the research can give an advantage to source of study biology at the growth and development material. Kata Kunci: jarak tanam, produksi tomat, sumber belajar biologi.

Abstract

The biology learning emphasizes providing learning experiences directly, ideally be studied scientifically so that the students are directly involved in finding his own understanding. Lack of science process skills students' low trigger. The purpose of this research is to improve science process skills and the results of biological studies using guided inquiry method with LKS in X.2 graders SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro, amounting to 22 students. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles each consisting of three sessions. Science process skills of students has increased from cycle I to cycle II of 11.1% for the skills of observation, 9% for classifying skills, communicating skills 9.1% to 13.2% for the skill and conclude. Data on students' pre-PTK into the cycle I increased 13.61% and 18.2% in cycle II. From the results of these studies suggest that the teacher researchers to apply these methods in teaching science, especially biology. Kata Kunci: inkuiri terbimbing disertai LKS, keterampilan proses sains,  hasil belajar.

Abstract

The results addressing the STAD method Torso with Media can improve biological activity and learning outcomes food Digestive System subject matter in class XI Science High School PGRI Bukitkemuning Academic Year 2012/2013. Student activity data on average in the first cycle by 63% in the second cycle obtained an average learning activity by 72% with an increase of 9% while for the learning outcomes of students has increased, the average initial score was 53.2 before PTK implemented , and at the end of the first cycle of 65.14, then on the second cycle of 72.28. To obtain an average yield improvement of student learning from cycle I to cycle II at 7.14%, even when compared with the prior PTK increased 35.86%. As for the suggestions to teachers fields of study, in order to study biological activities and results to achieve optimal results it is recommended to apply the methods of cooperative learning with media type STAD Torso by optimizing activities ask, discuss, do chores, and making observations. Key Words: STAD, learning activities, learning outcomes

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effect of  alone learning to the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability in SMA Teladan 1 Metro. This research applied quasy experimental with non-equvalent control group design. The population of this research is allow students of class X SMA Teladan 1 Metro on academic year 2009/2010. The samples of this research were class XA as experimental (alone learning) and class XB as control (conventional). The instrument of this research namely critical thinking and problem solving test. This research data are quantitative data consisted by score capacity critical thinking and problem solving ability to river ecosystem, collected on 15 january until 12 Juni 2010. Data were analysed by bilinear covariant statistical analysis (Ancova), continued with LSD test. The result of this research indicated that there were an effect of alone learning strategy toward the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability. Student with alone learning strategy having critical thinking higher 80,111% than conventional learning. Beside, student with alone learning strategy having 11,124% higher than convensional learning. Based on this research, the researcher suggest to the teacher that this strategy can implemented in biology learning. Kata Kunci: Belajar Mandiri, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah.

Abstract

Students are difficult to capture and master the assigned material, this is because students rarely engage actively in learning. Aktivitas siswa dalam belajar kurang optimal karena sumber belajar yang digunakan umumnya terbatas pada guru dan buku teks, kurang melibatkan sumber belajar nyata di lapangan sehingga mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Students in learning activities less than optimal due to the use of learning resources are generally limited to teachers and textbooks, not involving real-life learning resources that affect student learning outcomes. Sebagai alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut, digunakan metode kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium. As an alternative to solving the problem, use the method in the laboratory practical activities. Keunggulan metode ini adalah siswa mendapat kesempatan menguji dan melaksanakan pada keadaan nyata, yang diperoleh dari pembelajaran teori. The advantages of this method is that students have the opportunity to test and implement in a real situation, which is derived from learning theory. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi. This study aims to improve biological activity and learning outcomes. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan kegiatan praktikum di laboratorium dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Based on the results of research can be summed up in a lab practicum activities can enhance biological activity and student learning outcomes. Saran peneliti agar mengimplementasikan metode ini dalam pembelajaran biologi. Advice of researchers to implement this method in the teaching of biology.
