Abstract

This research was intended to 1) know how to increase the students’ activity of class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro through contextual learning based on inquiry 2) know how master the concept about ecosystem of students class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro through contextual learning based on inquiry 3) know whether there is increase of learning activity and mastery of ecosystem concept through contextual learning based on inquiry. To gain the objectives above, the research method used in this research was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of the research were the students of class X of SMA Teladan 1 Metro. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that 1) Contextual Learning can increase the student learning activity, which covers: a) listening to teacher explanation activity which was 5-10 % previously out of the whole class became 96%, b) proposing idea activity which was previously 1-5% out of all students became 94%, c) observation activity which was previously 15% out of all students became 85%, d) activity in following discussion which was 15% previously out of the whole students became 84%, e) activity in doing analysis and reporting the result was 10% previously became 96%. 2) Contextual learning can increase concept of ecosystem mastery by comparing pre-test and post test result in the end of the cycle 2. From the analysis, it was found that the Gain score was normalized became 0,793 or there was increase of concept mastery as high as 79.3% from the gain before the treatment compared to after the treatment, and 3) contextual learning can increase learning activity and concept of ecosystem mastery. Kata kunci: Contextual Teaching and Learning, Aktivitas Belajar, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

The objectives in this research are : (1) To know whether is any difference the average of biology instructional by using model of cooperative learning STAD and NHT type. (2) To know which one more high  the  average of biology instructional by using model of cooperative learning STAD and NHT type.This research was conducted at the seventh grade of junior high school SMP N 1 Batanghari academic year 2011/2012. The sample of the reearch is VIIc and VIIE from five classes using cluster random sampling technique. From the hypothesis testing by using the formula of ttes, can be concluded that 1). There was any significant different the average of biology instructional by using model of cooperative learning STAD and NHT type. 2). The average of biology instructional between students’ learning using model of cooperative learning STAD more high from the average of biology instructional by using model of cooperative learning NHT.Based on the result of the research, the reseacher seggest to increase the instructional of students’ biology study about human organization material more effective using model of cooperative learning STAD type.Kata kunci: STAD, NHT, Hasil Belajar Biologi

Abstract

Learning process is most emphasized for how student learn to a concept which can we get from environment. Teacher can exploiting research product as media and source learn to student to  be understands concept easier. Data which got to analize pass  from Analysis Variation (ANAVA) is obtained from Fhit 15,98 > Fdaf 2,35 in real level 0,05, so that Fhit > Fdaf, so refuse H0 dan H1  accepted. While from test “Beda Nyata Jujur” obtained treat B gives best influent for eggplant production, because diferencce between treat B by traet A, C, and D is biggest than BNJ value. From this analysis has cocluded there is influence organic fertilizer for eggplant plant, and with  combination organic (pen 50%:compost 50%) gives best influent for eggplant production. Benefit  from research product as resource Biologi program for Senior High School is to supports interest competence based on KTSP and hoped student can apply their comprehension about growth and blooming concept in everyday life, so, in learning activity is most emphasized to skill process.Kata Kunci: kombinasi pupuk organik, produksi terung.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the effect of  alone learning to the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability in SMA Teladan 1 Metro. This research applied quasy experimental with non-equvalent control group design. The population of this research is allow students of class X SMA Teladan 1 Metro on academic year 2009/2010. The samples of this research were class XA as experimental (alone learning) and class XB as control (conventional). The instrument of this research namely critical thinking and problem solving test. This research data are quantitative data consisted by score capacity critical thinking and problem solving ability to river ecosystem, collected on 15 january until 12 Juni 2010. Data were analysed by bilinear covariant statistical analysis (Ancova), continued with LSD test. The result of this research indicated that there were an effect of alone learning strategy toward the critical thinking skill and problem solving ability. Student with alone learning strategy having critical thinking higher 80,111% than conventional learning. Beside, student with alone learning strategy having 11,124% higher than convensional learning. Based on this research, the researcher suggest to the teacher that this strategy can implemented in biology learning. Kata Kunci: Belajar Mandiri, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to increase the biological activity and learning outcomes through the discussion method. In the theory, discussion method is a method in the learning process so that students dare to issue his opinion, daring to ask and answer questions. The analysis of data showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes. The research was conducted at grade VII MTs. Muhammadiyah Margototo academic year 2011/2012. Expression increased the activity of 10.29%, the activity of your friends pay attention when presenting the results of their discussion to increase 24.02%, the activity increased 11.27% to ask questions, answer questions activity increased 16.67% and complete the task group activities increased 19.52%. On learning outcomes also increased with evidence of students increased to 24% complete.  Kata Kunci: Diskusi, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Improving learning quality in 21st can not be separated from contextual learning and student-centered learning paradigm. The contextual lesson study program conducted in learning-forest prototype to build a learning community. The objectives of this research were to improve learning activities of postgraduate students in Biology Education department and to build a learning community. The implementation of lesson study was conducted in the Biology Learning Innovation subject for postgraduate students while practicing to observe open lesson in the undergraduate students which used learning forest-prototype. The postgraduate students took roles as planner, observer, and reflector in the plan, do (open lesson), and see (reflection) activities. The implementation was done in three cycles in even semester of academic year 2015/2016. Students learned collaboratively and contextually. The postgraduate students learning activities were observed by six observers from lecturer colleagues. The research results showed that the students were able to implement planning, open lesson, and reflection properly. The average of students learning activity grade was 91.11% from all of students, with the grade averages for planning, open lesson, and reflection activities were 88.89%, 93.33%, and 91.11% respectively. The implementation of this lesson study in the learning forest-prototype can be done in other relevant subjects to strengthen learning activities.

Abstract

Abstract Community service in Reno Basuki village, Rumbia, Central Lampung was focus to develop the group of farm women or KWT. KWT is one of the way to make a good effect on economics situation of society and also the way to solve the problems of national economics. The biggest comodity in KWT Enggal Mukti is cassava. Product from cassava can be a solution of Indonesian’s problem. One of the problem about economics in Indonesia is about the number of using wheat flour. As we know that wheat flour was produced by using wheat and Indonesia cannot produce it. So, the Indonesian’s goverments have a decision to import it from the other country. This situation is not good for Indonesia because it can make bad impact for Indonesia. The way to solve this condition is looking for the other kind of flour, and one of them is MOCAF (Modified Cassava Flour). Finally, the community service in KWT Enggal Mukti is training about ‘how to make mocaf’. Keywords: KWT, Training, Mocaf Abstrak Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di kampung Reno Basuki, Rumbia, Lampung Tengah terfokus pada pengembangan kelompok wanita tani (KWT). KWT sebagai salah satu tonggak perubahan perekonomian keluarga menjadi sebuah jalan untuk memperbaiki perekonomian nasional. Komoditas yang melimpah di kawasan KWT Enggal Mukti adalah singkong. Pemanfaatan singkong menjadi sebuah jalan baru untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan perekonomian di Indonesia Permasalahan yang kini terjadi adalah adanya kecenderungan masyarakat Indonesia dalam menggunakan tepung gandum, baik dibuat dalam bentuk olahan gorengan, kue, atau yang lainnya. Akan tetapi, gandum bukanlah komoditas asli dari Indonesia sehingga pemenuhan gandum dilakukan dengan cara impor. Hal ini pastilah sangat berdampak pada perekonomian nasional. Oleh karena itu, pada pengabdian masyaraakt ini akan dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan mocaf (modified cassava flour) sebagai alternatif pengganti tepung terigu. Kata Kunci: KWT, Pelatihan, Mocaf
