Abstract

Based on the result of observation is gotten about the condition of the class when learning procces, the conditions are: there are some students do not do assigment, do not give respon when the teacher ask to the student, do not have confident to ask about the material to the teacher, and do not give attention when the teacher gives explanation. So the learning procces tobe pasif. The result of learning is not good, this is can be seen from the students that pass only 37,5%. While the school give the grade of KKM 72. The aim of  this research is to know the improvement of activity  and the result of  student biology learning by using CPTT method. The subject of this research is the students at seventh grade of SMP Negeri 2 Batanghari that consist of 38 students. Based on the result of research, all activity aspec have done  by the student.Student expressed complete ( assess > 72) at cycle I equal to 60,53% and at cycle II increase  become 84,21%. Thereby method CPTT can improve the learning activity and biology learning achievement. Kata Kunci: Metode CPTT, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar Biologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama dalam belajar biologi melalui penerapan strategi inkuiri terbimbing pada siswa kelas VII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 6 Kota Samarinda Tahun Pelajaran 2010/ 2011. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dalam tiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan, dalam tiap pertemuan peneliti dan observer mengamati kemampuan kerjasama siswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas VII-6 SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda yang berjumlah 44 orang dari populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Samarinda yang berjumlah 343 orang. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa siklus I dari tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa sebesar 12,04%, siklus II dari tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam belajar biologi sebesar 61,58% siswa yang mampu, dan pada siklus III dalam tiga kali pertemuan diperoleh rata-rata kemampuan kerjasama siswa sebesar 84,53% siswa yang mampu. Berdasarkan hasil anlisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam belajar biologi melalui penerapan strategi inkuiri terbimbing. Abstract

This Reseach aims to study the effect of variation and dose morinda fruit that most effective applicable to mortality gold snail disease, to use product of research as design source study of biologi Junior High School class VIII. Researching on education Laboratory Muhammadiyah Metro of University at November 2012. The design of research employs analisis of varians non-parametrik with Kruskal-Wallis test with four treatments an three time replication. First treatments is control (not having dose), second consentration 50gr/L, third consentration 100gr/L, and fouth consentration 150 gr/L. Product of research to indicated morinda fruit effective to mortality gold snail  disease. Indication is transformation of occured such as descend activity of consume food and mobility, operculum to close, having mucus, not respons, and according  part soft of body to transformation of color to be chalky color or bad color, body of snail to exit for the hard outer layer of body skin, and the gold snail floating on a top suface. This condition indicate that a chemical composite saponin in morinda fruit to affect the process of chemical in a organism, central nerve, and respiration of gold snail.Kata Kunci: Buah mengkudu, mortalitas keong mas, sumber belajar biologi.

Abstract

The teaching of the educational levels including at the university level is still emphasized on the aspect of cognitive ability. The emphasis on the aspect of empowering the metacognitive is not touched yet. As a matter of fact, there are some techniques of teaching that can be applied to empower their metacognitive ability such Problem-based Learning (PBL) and cooperative Group Investigation (GI) strategy applies. This study aims to explain the effect of PBL and cooperative GI strategy to the metacognition and this study use “Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design”. This study indicates that students that learned with PBL and GI strategy have scores of metacognition from pretest to posttest higher than students that learned with conventional strategy. Based on the ANACOVA test showed that there were significance differences of students’ metacognition ability between the students who were thought through PBL strategy and the students who were thought through conventional and GI strategy. Kata kunci: PBL, kooperatif GI, metakognisi

Abstract

The development of agroforestry based of Sengon Laut with Porang crop area has successfully to increase people economic level. This research aimed to analyze and compare diversity, composition, structure community of canopy Arthropod at two different location (Sengon Laut of Porang crop area and non porang crop area) which was attracted to blue and yellow colored water pan trap,  vertical variation diversity, abundance, and structure community of canopy Arthropod, to know the relation between community of Arthropod canopy with abiotic factor at local agroforestry and to recommend good cultivating management. Samples of canopy Arthropod was taken at two different location by blue and yellow colored water pan trap, which was hang on bottom layer (1-1,5 m) and upper layer (8-10 m). Abiotic factors (Temperature and light intensity) were measured at each location. Non crop vegetation was analyzed by line intercept method and tree vegetation was analyzed by complete count method. Data of structure community comparison each location was analyzed by important value and diversity (Index Shannon-Whienner). The degree of same level composition between two location was analyzed by Index Bray-Curtis and variation vertical analyzed by anova. Canopy Arthropod composition and relation with abiotic factors was analyzed by Pearson Correlation with MINITAP program. The value abundance of canopy Arthropod in Porang crop area was (329 individu), fewer than canopy Arthropod in non Porang crop area which was (829 individu). The result showed that yellow water pan trap had better efficiency on upper layer at non Porang crop area than porang crop area. Recommendation to the farmers in order to make good cultivation management non crop vegetation is not cleaned and not used pesticide utilization. Kata kunci:  Arthropoda kanopi, faktor abiotik,  stabilitas ekosistem, sengon laut, budidaya porang
