Abstract

Physical condition exercise has an important role to develop athletes' achievements, confidence, and readiness to face the challenges in exercise and competition. Thus, their physical conditions must be trained. In the field, coaches of the athletes must work harder to calculate and determine the accurate exercise program for the athletes. The processes require a longer time. This reality encouraged the researchers to develop the Latidan 21 application to facilitate the trainers in developing endurance exercise programs quickly and accurately. The researchers hope the program would be relevant to the capabilities of the athletes' skills and could improve the endurance of the PPAP athletes of the Jepara Regency. In this research, the researchers developed the product with Research Development model proposed by Gall, Borg, and Gall (1996) with some adjusted needs based on the real situations. The research subjects consisted of an IT professional, a software programmer from Semarang, an IT lecturer of Unisbang, a Karate practitioner, trainers of National Sports Week for Central Java Karate, the Division Chief of Achievement Training Center of Indonesian National Sports Committee in Jepara Regency, and the various sample tests. The applied instruments were a questionnaire with a Likert scale, expert evaluation, product validation sheet, and interview guidelines. The developed product for the trainers, the athletes, and the constructors of the Jepara Regency was expected to improve endurance performance and human resources.

Abstract

Innovation in the field of education is still very rarely carried out by education practitioners, especially physical education and sports. Therefore, the researcher aims to create an innovation product in physical education learning by designing an android-based application that contains the MCCT (Motor Cognitive Coordination Training) program. Motor cognitive coordination training is an exercise method based on the kinetic life training method. Kinetic life training is a combined concept of movement coordination exercises and cognitive challenges, in which simple skills such as hand-eye coordination or continuous are combined with intellectual tasks to create complex exercises. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development (RD) method. The results showed that the effectiveness of using the MCCT application was 68% smaller than the MCCT program which was given by the direct instruction method, which was 78%. However, on some observation items, the effectiveness of the MCCT program based on the android application is greater than the MCCT program with the direct instruction method

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze differences in the hydration status of subjects who used coconut water, packaged coconut water, and isotonic drinks like sports drinks. The research design used in this study was a cross-over design. The test was carried out 4 times a week with a washout period of 2x24 hours. In each test, athletes were asked to jog on a treadmill for 40 minutes at a 5.6 km/hour speed and a slope of 5%. Drinks were given as much as 150 ml in the 15th minute and 30th minute while jogging on the treadmill. Measurement of urine-specific gravity using a refractometer and urine color table was performed before and after jogging on a treadmill to assess the hydration status of the subject. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that coconut water is as good as packaged coconut water and isotonic drinks in maintaining the hydration status of athletes, as seen from the urine specific gravity and urine color table. However, coconut water contains antioxidants that isotonic drinks don’t, therefore coconut water has the potential to be sports drink because it can maintain hydration status and minimize oxidative stress resulting from exercise if treated properly with the addition of sodium

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of physical activity of students and then to analyze the types of physical activity carried out to support literacy and numeracy skills and to examine the relationship between physical activity and students' literacy and numeracy skills. The method used in this research is mixed methods and implemented using a concurrent triangulation design. The instruments used were PAQ-C (Physical Activity Questioner for older Children), interview guide sheets and literacy and numeracy test sheets. The results of the interviews show that various physical activities are carried out by students at school and at home such as playing ball which is played with the feet or thrown by hand, chasing games, aquatic activities such as playing in the pool, playing roles, rubik's cube, robots and assembling puzzles. Of all these activities, it turned out that they were not structured and directed towards activities that support literacy and numeracy skills, as well as their type and duration. Physical activity data also shows that 58.54% of students are currently at a low level of physical activity and the remaining 41.47% are at a high activity level, this is adjusted to the interpretation of the data using PAQ-C. Based on the correlation test between literacy and numeracy skills and physical activity, it turns out that there is a positive relationship between the variables and the sig. (0.0000.05).

Abstract

The wrestling lecture is one of the courses in the physical education study program, at FKIP, Tanjungpura University. Enthusiasm to take part in wrestling lectures is always shown by almost all students, but some students feel anxious and even afraid to start lectures, especially female students. After undergoing lectures everything changes drastically, students feel anxious, and not confident. This is because students feel surprised and are not ready to take part in wrestling lectures. Poor athlete performance will lead to psychological decline, namely a lack of confidence in one's abilities (self-efficacy). The purpose of this research is to find out the Self Efficacy of students after attending wrestling lectures. This study uses a quantitative method in the form of survey research. The population in this study were students who took wrestling courses in the 2021/2022 semester and the sample consisted of 32 students. The data collection tool is to use a self-efficacy questionnaire. Data analysis uses a quantitative description. The results showed that the number of students who chose the Yes point on the experience indicator of success was 93%, the Other Individual Experience Indicator showed 78%, the Verbal Persuasion Indicator showed all students who chose 100%, the indicator on physiological conditions showed a total percentage of 51%. This study concludes that students believe in themselves with their ability to go through the process and complete the implementation of wrestling lectures with a total percentage of 81%.
