A total of 82, 674 disabled people information were included in the study. The 40 informational fields have been classified into 11 main categories. The Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) technique were used for mapping and discovering the relationships. The results show that, 68.87% of the disabled people were urban residents. The disability rate of cities ranges from 10.54 to 43.05. As many as 63.43% of the disabled suffered from severe and extremely severe disabilities. This research methods uses an experimental of single subject research with A-B-A design. A-B-A design have three phases, first is baseline 1 (A1), the intervention (B), and the last is baseline 2 (A2). The subject of this research is a child with mental retardation on 7TH grade of SLB Panca Bakti Mulia Surakarta in the academic year of 2018/2019. The technique of collecting data used an oral test to find out the loud reading skills of child. The technique of analysing data used descriptive statistical analysis with visual graphics. The result of this study shows the everage value of the subject's loud reading skills in the first baseline phase was 35.5 with a low category to increase in the intervention phase to 84.5 with a high category and in the second baseline phase becoming 90.9 with a high category. The result of the analysis showed an increase in the loud reading skills in each condition with fairly good stability. Based on the result, the conclusion of this research is interactive multimedia has an influence on the loud reading skills in english subjects for the child with mental retardation on 7TH grade of SLB Panca Bakti Mulia Surakarta in the academic year of 2018/2019.

Abstract

Campus building is where students undergo of learning process and perform various activities. In learning process, campus should provide universal design facilities for students all, including students with disabilities. The design of campus is important factor in operation and service of a higher education. Universal design concept on lecture space in CADL ITB building can make it easier of activity for students with hearing disabilities. The purpose of this research is test a universal design strategy for reducing hearing impairment, visual communication barriers and assistive technology strengthen, but universal design concept to hearing disabilities that is much different and usually involves visual signs. This research uses 3 stages of method that is descriptive qualitative, classification analysis, and proposal design solution method. Using the parameters of universal design principles, factors involved in application can be classified to determine the problem of lecture space in CADL ITB as a case study. Then observation of interview result through questionnaire of 60 respondents of students/alumni/drop out of hearing disability in various universities stated that it is still difficult to be accessed in lecture space because there is no universal design facility available. While informants 10 persons academic and not academic people understand and universal design knowledge for disabled except hearing disability. Abstract

Health care is important to everyone and everyone should have equal access to health care. The literature available focuses mainly on high-income countries. It is therefore important to bear in mind that many Deaf people, especially in low and middle-income countries, are suffering from much greater health disparities. Deaf people rely on a visual language that does not have a written form. These individuals may lack proficiency in written English. Health literacy, as defined by the National Institutes of Health refers to how well a person can get the health information and services that they need, and how well they understand them. To assess the Health Literacy of Deaf people in Kapiri Mposhi District. This research was a qualitative study; it used a cross-sectional descriptive study design. Snowball sampling was done. The sample size was 15 participants. 10 Deaf individuals and 5 health care providers altogether. Interviews were conducted and manual transcription was used to analyse the data and translate it into themes. Deaf people in Kapiri Mposhi are not aware of issues pertaining to health and wellbeing. It appears that Deaf people, because of communication barriers faced, do not receive full disclosure of their medical situation and the alternatives are not discussed with them. Even when disclosure does occur, many Deaf people may not fully comprehend the options available to them because of communication difficulties with health care providers. This entails that the Deaf people in Kapiri Mposhi District have their health literacy extremely low.
