Abstract

Formalin borax and rhodamin are toxic and carcinogenic substances which could cause cells damage in short term, and could cause 50 kond of degenerative disease and cancer in long term. The aims of this study are to know the potent and effectiveness of three of instruments of reagent kit testers: Formalin main reagent (FMR), Borax main reagent (BMR) and Colour main reagent (CMR) to detect formalin, borax and rhodamin on food, and to know the content of formalin, borax and rhodamin on food recently. The result of the study showed that quick detection instruments of reagent kit tester produced by BioChem laboratory are effective and efficient to detect formalin, borax and rhodamin on food, with limit potent minimal concentration detection were 5 ppm or less, in not more 10 minutes periods. The result of the study also showed that formalin borax and rhodamin still can be found in many kinds of food distributed in area of Malang.

Abstract

Restaurant business is gratly promising. Competition in this business is quite high. To win the competition, the business owner must be able to create products that meet the consumer needs. To do this, business owner has to understand consumer behaviour. This consumer behaviour is related to purchasing decision. This study is a qualitative descriptive research aiming to determine the influence of product and service to purchasing  decision on local product fried chicken restaurants in Malang city. This study involved 20 customers taken from each restaurant and determined by accidental sampling method. The research result shows that the product factor with a mean value of 3.7 is the most dominant factor that affects consumers purchasing decision. Future researchers are recommended to deal with promotion factor when investigating the factors influencing consumer purchasing decision.

Abstract

Vocabulary is essential in determining how well students learn to speak, listen, read and write a language. One of the English language learning strategies used to motivate students to learn the English vocabulary is through the media. One medium that can be used is the use of online media. By learning through online media, students are expected to be enthusiastic and motivated to memorize and understand the English vocabulary items. Through this study, the effectiveness of Online Media in improving vocabulary skills in students majoring in English Education was tested.This study applies True Experimental Design, where the sample was 30 respondents experimental group and 30 respondents as the control group taken at random from the entire population. The findings show that the T-test results conducted before treatment was 1.001, while the test results after treatment was 1.667 and T-table shows 2.045. It can be concluded that the results of the final value of the T- test is lower than the value of T- table. In other words, the use of Online Media is less effective for learning English especially in vocabulary learning.

Abstract

Every kid has differences and uniqueness in terms of the  intelligence. However, not many parents are aware of these. The community counseling about multiple intelligence and its relation toward the character education were conducted in Sumberawan, Toyomarto village, Singosari district, Malang. The purpose of this counseling is to cultivate the parents’ knowledge, especially the mothers,  about multiple intelligence and character education. The subjects were 40 women who joined Dasawisma  meeting. This community service was held on August 2016 to January 2017. The counseling has done in four meetings during pengajian in Dasawisma I Cempaka, Sumberawan. The result of the counseling shows that many women in pengajian Dasawisma I Cempaka were not aware about multiple intelligence and character education. The women started to realize that a kid who has ‘character’ is more valuable than the kid who has only academic  intelligence. They also realized that every kid has their own intelligence that make them unique.

Abstract

The interior design is a layout planning and design of the space inside the building. The existence of interior design aims to meet basic human needs of shelter and protection, in addition to the interior design also affects the outlook, the mood and personality of the inhabitants. Therefore an ideal library should pays attention to the order of the interior, but not many libraries developers want to set aside funds for the development of interior design, most of the funds allocated to increase the collection. The good interior design library, will lead visitors to the library to feel comfortable, safe, and productive. The purpose of this study is determine whether or not the influence of the interior design to the comfort of the user in the library of the State Islamic University of Malang, as well as interior design variables determine the dominant influence on the user's convenience in the library of the State Islamic University of Malang. To determines the needs of users of this research using questionnaires. By using questionnaires, the user needs can be mapped and analyzed. In addition, the authors also conducted a study of the literature on the interior of the library as well as direct observation in the Library of the State Islamic University Malang. From this analysis the authors draw the conclusion that from the fifth interior design elements studied were visual elements, flexibility, comfort socialize, thermal and acoustic, Library UIN Malang not pay attention to interior design to developthe library. The highest element score is a visual element with a total mean score of 3.78 (scale of 5).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the management of records in the general and academic sub-divisions in University of Brawijaya This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. Informants in the study are the Head of the general and / or academic sub-divisions in Vocational Education, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Animal Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science. Instrument used are observation sheet, interview guide and questionnaire. The findings show that factors influencing the management of records in UB include lack of budget to support archival unit: working environment archival that include temperature, humidity, lighting; availability of the archive room; lack of employees majoring in archive; unavailability of SOP regarding record keeping in the Faculty of Brawijaya University; inadequate facilitie; and not standardized recording system. Regarding this, the faculties in University of Brawijaya, including Vocational Education Program, are suggested to have better record management for dynamic archives in the general and academic sub-division.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how good secretaries’job performance in public and private companies is as well as find out whether there are differences in job performance between the secretaries working in public and private companies. Samples were taken from 25 secretaries: 14 secretaries from public companies and 11 secretaries from private ones. The research hypothesis is that there are differences in job performance between the secretary of the government-owned companies and private companies. The variables used in this study consist of one independent variable (job performance) and three dependent variables (effectiveness, productivity and utility). The data analysis was done using T - Test and data normality test. The findings show that job performance of secretaries working in private companies is higher (the mean is 95.73) than those working in public companies (85.36). It is then important for secretaries working in public companies to improve their job performance

Abstract

The Promotional and User Education activities are methods which have been implemented in library context. These methods can be applied by using a video. The video that will be shared on social media is dedicated to all users of Library of Ma Chung University.The media that have been selected to share this video are Youtube and Gmail which is connected to all of social media to spread the video to all users of Library of Ma Chung University. This video explains how to use sphisticated facility in this digital era which is supported with the incredilble information development. The Utilization of this online video can increase the number of guests in library and make the facilites usage more effective so the library can operate well based on its function.

Abstract

This article describes the concept of islamic tourism development in Madura. This concept is considerably appropriate to the reality and condition of the religious society in Madura. The diversity of tourism attractions and religious cultures can make Madura become islamic and unique tourism destination in East Java and to encourage both domestic and international tourists to visit. This article aims to know the tourism potentials in Madura and to offer a concept of islamic tourism development in Madura. The data analysis was done qualitatively in which data collection was done to make abstraction instead of hypothesis testing. From the data colection and analysis, it can be concluded that the development of islamic tourism in Madura as is a way to preserve social and culture of Madurese and to create islamic touris as a special tourism in Madura.

Abstract

Managament accounting information system consists of full cost accounting information, differential accounting information and responsibility accountingl. The aim of this study is to explain the application of management accounting information system on information objects such as products and activities of the department which will result full accounting information. If the system is connected with the alternative that will be selected, it will produce the concept of differential accounting information which is needed for the purpose of management decision making with multiple alternative selection. If the management accounting information system is connected with the authority of the manager, it will produce the concept of responsibility accounting information that is useful to influence company policy-making.
