Abstract

Cold form steel is one type of material that is currently experiencing very rapid development. The advantages of the using cold form steel are so many, one of which is the light weight and high quality steel. This is an added value for cold form steel. But one of the weakness in cold form steel profile is the buckling effect. So that additional fillers are needed so that cold form steel has resistance with buckling effect. Mortar is a filler that is often used in construction. Therefore this research will be discuss the analysis of grouting mortar to prevent buckling effect in the cold form steel profile. And then the grouting mortar that will be used uses a variation of cement to sand as big as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4. From the results of the compressive strength of the mortar obtained compressive strength of 1: 1 has the greatest compressive strength of 30 Mpa. And then for the flexural test, the steel beam with mortar variation 1: 1 has the greatest resistance of 9558 Newton, with the smallest deflection value of 8 mm and the greatest stress of 19.47 Mpa, when compared to steel beams with variations of 1: 2, 1: 3, 1: 4 and steel beams without fillers.

Abstract

Static analysis is a simplification of dynamic analysis. Earthquake vibrations cause lateral forces at the base of the structure, and will be distributed on each floor of the building as lateral level forces. This analysis is suitable for regular building shapes. In accordance with SNI 1726: 2012, the value of the base shear force V is 103,039 kg for the X and Y directions. The displacement value is 54 mm and drift ratio ∆ < ∆a (allowable)

Abstract

This research aims to make a bearing capacity distribution map of shallow foundations (footplate), which is to provide convenience in terms of examining substructure buildings planned by the consultant by the owner. Spatial concepts method, ArcGIS and kriging, are used to simplify the analysis stage in making bearing capacity maps. Bearing capacity distribution map of soil shows that most of the University of Jember area at two meters depth has hard soil consistency and has a bearing capacity of around 83.9 - 110.9 kg/cm2. The results of comparative analysis of ArcGIS and CPT has a ratio of 0,758 for point 1 and 0,765 for point 2.

Abstract

The need for earthquake resistant buildings in Indonesia is something that needs to be considered. Considering that Indonesia is an earthquake prone area. A building structure must be designed to be able to withstand lateral loads such as earthquakes within the limits set by the code/standards. For conservative reasons analysis of the P-Delta Effect needs to be considered because the building development ratio will always increase every time. according to SNI 1726-2019 the P-Delta effect is only required for the design of tall buildings. In this case, the P-Delta effect will be calculated in the modeling of non-high-rise buildings and get the results that P-Delta Effect increased story forces: moment of the building under 10%.

Abstract

Tender is a competition system for selecting contractors who will carry out development activities. The mistake of the tender committee in choosing a contractor will cause losses to the project owner. To avoid that mistake, the tender committee must know the capabilities and quality of the contractor, so an assessment of the capabilities of the contractor (construction service) is needed. This research was conducted only for the tender process of physical work and the questionnaire was given to 50 contractor companies in West Sumatra to determine the weight of seven criteria of the most important assessment process in tender tenders in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 80 Republic of Indonesia year 2003 (Keputusan Presiden No. 80 tahun 2003). 50 questionnaires are distributed with result 43 returned questionnaires showed that the assessment criteria for implementation time had the highest percentege of 19% followed by work methods and experts with a percentege of 17% and subsequently company capital with a percentege of 16%, and working capital received the fourth demand with a percentage of 11%, while the company's experience and ranks last is equipment with a percentege of 10%.

Abstract

Ngipik Landfill located in Gresik, East Java has a several active fault. As a result, this area has high possibility as an earthquake prone area. In addition, It has not prevent’s layer under the bottom of the construction to control the leachate’s spread. This study aim to analyze the earthquake hazard map for the region based on the values of ground shear strain. The data was conducted by microtremor measurement and Plaxis modeling. The result of this study shows the shear strain value range between 3.5 x 10-3 to 12.5 x 10-3. The highest value is around the east and west-north area and indicated the high risk of damage under ground motion. The output of the research must consider as preliminary site mitigation of  Ngipik Landfill.

Abstract

Soft soils has low bearing capacity and high compressibility whichis potentially damage the structure laid above it.An effort is taken to use EPS beads to form GGC will accelerate of consolidation process. The purpose of study to investigate the influence of density and diameters of GGC against strength and settlement. Triaxial test are conducted to identify the shear strength parameter after consolidation test were done. The equivalence value of permeability (kve) is calculated using the Chai Method (2001) by considering smear effect. Test results showed that the settlement of soft soil in 90 degree consolidation reached in short period of time upon for smallest density and largest diameter of GCC.

Abstract

Global warming and air pollution become one of the environmental issues facing the world. the construction sector consumes about 40% of total global energy. Many strategies have been adopted to improve the efficiency of building construction to reduce material consumption and carbon emissions. One way to find out the environmental impact and carbon emissions produced is with a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This study aims to predict the environmental impact of concrete slab construction in two-story dwellings using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach of the material used with the help of software, namely Simapro 9.0. The scope of the study is the cradle to the grave. The results of the SimaPro 9.0 concrete plate construction analysis, especially in global warming are 1.02, E+07 kg CO2 eq. The biggest contribution to the manufacture of concrete slabs is the casting process with a value of 1.00, E+07 kg CO2 eq.

Abstract

Roads are means of transportation that play an important role in supporting people's lives such as economic, social, educational and cultural activities. In its service, the age of road is often not as planned because it has damage to the surface layer. Maintenance, repair and rehabilitation efforts are needed. However, before that steps are needed to identify each type and level of damage that occurs so that recommendations can be proposed for improvement. Road distresses identification is still done manually by surveyors who fill out forms and sketches of road distress. On the other hand, UAV (Unmaned Aerial Vehicle) which have many advantages, such as: save time, money, labor and able to produce a geographical database for transportation issue. In this research data acquisition use automatic mode along road corridor. Aerial photo data is processed and analyzed by using SfM (structure from Motion) software to produce DSM (Digital Surface Model) and orthophoto. DSM is used to determine the depth profile of road distress. While the orthophoto results are then used in the process of visual interpretation to identify road distress. This research using quadcopter platform using digital camera with flight altitude less than 20 metres to obtain precise DSM and orthophoto. The results obtained by several types of road distress can be identified by using UAVs in the form of alligator cracking, potholes, edge cracking, shoving and depression. This type of road distress classification was obtained based on visual interpretation obtained an accuracy rate of 96.36 %.

Abstract

Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is made up of multilayered timber stacked perpendicularly, which improved the dimensional stability and allowing CLT to has high bearing capacity in its two direction. Despite all the advantages, CLT has not yet gain much attention in Indonesian, especially the utilization in mid-rise building construction. In order to have a better understanding about CLT as main structural element, the behaviour of mid-rise building made of CLT was assessed by running a 3D model of 5-story building by combining building code in Indonesia with CLT parameter from previous researcher as well as recommended adjustment from previous researchers. The research shows that CLT building statisy the allowable parameter for mid-rise building in Indonesia.
