Abstract

 Abstract. Marine tourism is an important attraction of natural tourism Indonesia today. Consisting of small islands and considered as outer region, Aru Islands, as one of the districts in the Maluku province has potential for marine tourism-based coastal and small islands supported cultural potential, so it is suitable to be developed as a maritime destination. Marine tourism should be managed with conservation and ecological approach to community-based, it is in accordance with the conditions in which the tourist sites in the coastal area adjacent to the local community. The aims of this study were to identify potential marine tourism Aru Islands; to identify issues, challenges and formulate strategies and recommendations for marine tourism development that capable of accommodating the interests of society also the conservation of coastal and small islands. Resources for development of nature-based marine tourism were identified and assessed in the Aru Islands. The study results showed that as an archipelago, the Aru Islands have some 42 potential and attractiveness of a total of 88 marine tourism potential and attractions. Aru Islands also has unique and distinctive cultural and culinary for supporting the development of marine tourism. As a new destination, Aru Islands need a comprehensive and holistic development strategy. The approach includes physical and infrastructure improvement, management and institutions, marketable tourism products, and the development of a host community. These approaches to ensure tourism development in Aru Islands grow sustainably.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country and the largest island in the world. Indonesia has a wealth of marine and coastal very abundant. But in reality, especially in the field of tourism has not been fully utilized for tourism activities. Marine tourism is a new type of tourism development that began to develop and favored travelers. In the development of this type of tourism should be recognizable the characteristics of marine tourism in order to advance in the development and management can preserve the marine ecosystems in a sustainable environment. Tourism development is expected to occurring conservation in marine and coastal areas towards of sustainable development. This study aims to identify the potential for marine ecotourism located in Indonesia; analyze the internal and external environment marine ecotourism; analyzing strategies and develop a sustainable marine ecotourism development program in Indonesia. This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and SWOT analysis. The reference review in this research is the concepts of a strategy for tourism development, ecotourism, marine tourism, sustainable tourism. The strategy can be applied related to the development of sustainable marine ecotourism in Indonesia, namely: strategy of regional development and marine ecotourism product through empowerment of local communities; strategy of developing a network of marine industry and tourism; Infrastructure development strategy (infrastructure and means of supporting the principal and marine tourism); strategy of marketing development marine ecotourism product; strategy of coastal areas planning; strategy for increasing the security of maritime tourism; and strategies for institutional development and human resources and marine tourism. Sustainable marine ecotourism development should be prepared and planned and managed well, so it can directly and positively contribute to the public welfare, poverty reduction, rural development, preservation of culture and society, and environmental protection.

Abstract

Lovina is one of tourist destination situated on the northern part of Bali Island. It lies in the maritime area as Bali Golden Triangle Coral Reef line and belong to the central zone of water conservation area in Buleleng Regency, Bali.  The aim of this paper is to explore the impact of marine tourism development for the community in Lovina area specifically in the aspect of social and culture with qualitative approach analysis through the local's perception. The survey was participated by 100 samples purposively assigned from local people who lived in Lovina. The result shows that the development of marine tourism in Lovina gives some positive impacts to the community in socio-cultural condition. Marine tourism development and activities do not deliver any harmful changes to the condition of building in Lovina area. It increases the enthusiasm of the community to perform religious activities of Hindu.  In addition, the stress level and the crime figures are also very low. Various efforts are supposed to do in order to develop marine tourism activities in the region as well as minimizing the negative impact : 1) Improving the accessibilities by creating comfortable roads and parking lots as well as the addition of the trash bins which can helped by local government, 2) Educate the local community about The Concept of Sapta Pesona to improve their services to tourists and also educate them on the impact of marine tourism activities, thus they would be able to handle them, 3) Enhance the cooperation with stakeholders to market and promote Lovina.

Abstract

Purpose: In this paper we attempt to understand the factors that provides satisfaction to the visitors of theme-park destinations and to predict visitors' intent to re-visit the theme park destinations in India. Methodology: We have applied factor analysis to understand the attributes that attract visitors to re-visit theme parks and logistic regression techniques to predict if the visitor's intent to re-visit theme-park destinations on a regular basis.Findings: The results suggest that major factors that visitors consider while confirming re-visit to theme parks in India include lifestyle, historical and leisure. Moreover, tourists visiting such theme parks are always interested in new, innovative and creative ideas to attract and plan their visits on a regular basis. The visitors prefer to experience and feel India mainly listening to regional music and enriching its cultural and historical importance.Originality: This will promote Indian tourism industry by motivating managers to bring up new, creative and innovative ideas to attract more visitors in theme-parks.  Business managers may expand their existing business plans in Indian tourism industry.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to know the potential of wheat farming in Getasan district as an object of agro edu-tourism and analyzed its development strategy to support tropical wheat production. Qualitative methods were used, with an interview with various tourism related stakeholders. The collected data were analyzed using the SWOT method. The results showed that wheat farming's in Getasan district have potentially to promote to be the object of agro edu-tourism. The study proposed several strategies, such as; Cooperation between tourism-related stakeholders; Involving local communities in promoting cultural resources in the region; Creating agro edu-tourism zones in various site; Plan an attractive and dynamic training program, special event, landscape arrangement, and promote it through various media channels; Improve managerial resources by establishing efficient structures, engaging in management training on agrotourism.

Abstract

The existence of a highway or commonly called a toll road, which connects between Cikopo-Palimanan-Kanci-Pejagan, is a factor in the development of tourism in Cirebon. This development is expected to contribute to the increase in the number of tourist visits. Tourists need to be facilitated to obtain good and many experiences while in Cirebon. The conception of tourist routes is used as input for the creation of a framework or direction for government policy for the development of tourism in the medium and long term in the context of developing tourism in Cirebon. The approach used is the concept of 5A which is a key element that must be owned by a destination. 5A consists of Accessibilty, Accommodation, Atraction, Activity, and Amenities. 5 selected tourist attractions are the priorities that are arranged in the Cirebon tourist route.

Abstract

Abstract. Emotional labour – the act of subduing one’s felt emotions in order to display organisationally accepted emotions at work, is entwined with hospitality service since time immemorial. It has its commercial value and hence is regularly exchanged for pay. Emotional labour has its antecedents and eventual consequences on the employees performing it. There are various ways through which hospitality service employees perform emotional labour on a daily basis. The social construct of hospitality, both cultural and religious, have augmented the necessity of emotional labour in delivery of service to the guest. Thereby, making it a standard element of the overall hospitality experience paradigm. A lot of research has gone into understanding the cause and effect relationship of the ‘antecedent-consequence’ framework of emotional labour. This paper delves into the existing literature surrounding emotional labour. Interestingly, it was found that a deeper insight about the phenomenon of emotional labour and its lived experience by the individual employee still awaits its due attention.

Abstract

Pacitan Regency has a tourist destination characterized by nature and the relationship between humans and nature. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential, problems, carrying capacity and constraints of ecotourism development, as well as develop management strategies in Pacitan. Observations and interviews were conducted to reveal information related to the research objectives. We do index on the components of ecotourism management that we have designed. SWOT analysis is used to determine and map the potential and problems of management and development of ecotourism. the total GRDP shows that the economy of the Pacitan Regency is characterized by the economy of the Tertiary Sector. On the IFAS, the potential of natural resources plays a very important strength (weight value 0.204) and on the weaknesses, accessibility and facilities and infrastructure plays a very important role (weighted values 0.153 and 0.130). On the EFAS, government policy support reaches the highest weight (0.135) on an opportunity, and on threat factors, security and object equality with other regions play a very important role  (0.106 and 0.105)

Abstract

Nowadays, creative tourism has been developing in Bandung, proved by the existence of eight creative tourism attractions. The characteristics of those creative tourism attractions were dominated by art-based creative tourism which was created by the development of creative industries and many requests from the tourist on how to make creative products. The main problems on the development, both internal and external creative tourism attractions, was lack of qualified local human resources. The creative tourism development in Bandung was also influenced by internal and external factors, either encouraging or inhibiting the development.

Abstract

Abstract: Critical Success Factors (CSFs) have been recognized as an important and powerful approach for the competitiveness and success of the hospitality organizations in particular hotels in the tourism industry. The implementation of some core capabilities, activities, and facilities may provide better opportunities for the hoteliers to be successful in the intensive marketplace. This article studies the CSFs for the hotels' operation in the past studies. To do this, the hotel-related CSFs for operation of different types of hotels were first compiled through the review literature. Then, the main issues, gaps, and conditions of the studies have been considered. Further studies are also suggested based on the identified gaps in the reviewed literature.
