Tourism is one of the strategic economic sectors in Indonesia that uses a lot of nature. Tourism destination is greatly affected by natural conditions and its changes. This study aims to identify the impact of climate change on coastal tourism destination from the perspective of stakeholders in Kuta Beach, Bali. This study employs mix methods, quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative methods employed to observe the perspective of tourists through questionnaire surveys with descriptive statistical analysis. While, the qualitative method use interview data and observation to observe the perspectives of the remaining stakeholders, namely the local government, tourism entrepreneurs, and the leaders of the traditional villages. The results show that tourists' awareness of climate change is quite high, although understanding of climate change tends to be 'normal'. Climate change variables that affect the tourist experience of Kuta Bali tourists are more related to safety, except related to sudden and extreme weather changes. This study is expected to increase the awareness of tourism stakeholders on climate change so that climate change adaptation measures can be carried out that help develop tourism.

In 2010, the concept of destination management organization (DMO) was applied as an effort to improve the weakness of tourism management in Pangandaran. This concept stresses the form of collaboration among stakeholders who are involved in tourism from community groups, private sectors, and government. The stakeholders are led by a destination management organization: Forum Tata Kelola Pariwisata (FTKP/Pangandaran Tourism Governance Forum) which serves as a mediator, facilitator, and coordinator for the three groups of stakeholders. This research was conducted using a case study approach which was deliberately applied to a Pangandaran Village. Besides, this research also employed a mix method approach that practically combines quantitative and qualitative research methods aimed to find out the effectivity of stakeholders’ collaboration in implementing the concept of DMO in Pangandaran. The results of this research show that collaboration among stakeholders in DMO-based tourism destination governance has run quite effectively. This is manifested by the existence of common goals, equality, and high commitment from stakeholders. FTKP leadership is fairly good to support collaboration among stakeholders. However, trust and communication among stakeholders need to be improved.

Abstract. There is a remarkable change in the thought process of Indian families - in the last few years regarding the way they live their life. How they socialize with their near & dear ones and most importantly how they spend their holidays. Indian families started focusing on the big picture and that is how they are becoming more open and adaptive to change. Vacation is one such thing in which all the members give their inputs on how, where to go. They do justify their reasons for selecting a destination based on their perspective, which can be a comforting one to them individually. Vacations by Indian families are on the rise year by year. Reasons may be with higher levels of income, stress, boredom, disposable income, increasing percentage of working couples and better knowledge of destinations. All these and many more have contributed to the upsurge of Indian vacationers. Having said that, the question remains as to how they decide when and where to go on vacation and what are the factors contributing to the decision. This is a study aimed at identifying the factors and how a decision is arrived at given the constraints. This paper also hopes to provide a decision-making tree that can be used as a readily reckoned by Indian families - when deciding on a vacation. Along with listing multiple factors that go into making a decision. The scope for this study is families based out of Chennai and the kind of vacations they undergo and cherish.

This paper examine the concept of touristification that positions tourists and the community as key actors in the process of tourism growth. The authors apply the concept in Likupang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) tourism area development plan. The area chosen due to its top priority to tourism destinations development plan. Likupang SEZ has the potential for bottom-up tourism development that can be seen from the role of the community. The concept review conducted on the Likupang SEZ was seen from the growth in the number of tourists, the role of the community, and the potential for regional transformation. The study, founds that tourists have a significant role in encouraging tourism development policies and physical changes in the tourism area. Meanwhile, the community has the potential to be the key to tourism growth going forward with the encouragement of facilities from the government. The area has the potential to transform into an area of tourism with a variety of activities. However, based on the review conducted, currently, the transformation that is expected to occur comes from the encouragement of investment from the private sector and also the government (top-down).

The explosion of tourism activities encourages urban development initiatives. The phenomenon is known as 'touristification'. The phenomenon of touristification in the city of Yogyakarta is interesting to study, in order to examine its characteristics. The method used in this study is qualitative with data collected online. The findings of this study are the first, namely the development of tourist villages as a result of the growth of tourism activities, especially in the Malioboro area and its surroundings as the primadonna of tourism activities in the city of Yogyakarta. The development of tourist villages also helped to stimulate tourism supporting businesses engaged in accommodation. As a result, many residential neighbourhoods were transformed into residential facilities for overnight tourists. With the alternative forms and locations of this lodging, tourism activities in the city of Yogyakarta are not only concentrated in the city centre. Rural areas also transformed into a tourist area, which plays as a supporting region. The emergence of a tourist village is considered to have the opportunity to introduce and enhance existing local potential.

There is a trend of shortening lengths of stay (LOSs) in tourism, coupled with more frequent trips. Since tourism revenue derives from the duration of stay of tourists at destinations, tourism marketers are interested in attracting those tourists who stay for longer, and thus more profitable durations. Indian domestic tourism is a huge market but it has been insufficiently researched. As a result, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) are constrained to depend more on hunches in their efforts to attract tourists. This study attempts to identify the determining factors of length of stay of Indian domestic tourists with empirical evidence adopting multiple regression and the MARS (multivariate adaptive regression splines) model. The findings fill an essential gap in the tourism literature, as pertains to lengths of stay at Indian destinations. They also help destination marketing organizations better understand the nuances of tourist behavior, so they can craft appropriate marketing strategies that attract those tourists who tend to stay for longer durations.
