<![CDATA[This study discuss about the strategy of National Archives on improving the quality of archival services. The main problems of this study are how the strategy of Sub-Directorate of Archives Services on improving the quality services and what the factor that can influence the quality services. This study aimed to describe the servicesâ strategy that is undertook by National Archives of The Republic of Indonesia. This researchâs method is qualitative-descriptive through a case-study approach. The conclusion of this research shows, are: Develop of human resources through the delegation to enroll some education and training, ISO 9001:2008 certification about Management Qualityâs System, integrated static archives servicesâ innovation, usage of technology, synergy of institutions, service of static archiving usage facilitated, and efficiency of archive services timeâs period. The factors that influence the improvement of quality services are human resources, tools and infrastructures, and the availability of the archive. ]]>

<![CDATA[Primary and secondary level of education are essential elements for character building and success of younger generation in developing the nation. Education and learning at this level will very much determine how in the future and individual is able to play role and be competitive in the nationâs development. One of the important element in the strategy of educational learning in school which is often forgotten by decision makers of principals and library managers is the library. Library operation in schools and mandrassas with a policy that has high legitimacy, should be implemented immediately. How ever, what happened was the opposite. By reason of limited fund, time and energy, many schools choose not to implement the rule about library.Base on this issue, this research studied the policy of principals regarding the implementations of act No. 43 of 2007, Government Regulation No. 19 of 2005 and Ministry of National Education Regulations No. 25 of 2008. The reseach was conducted in 6 schools and the quuesionnare was distributed to 6 prinsipals and 12 library staff in Bandung city. The results showed that understanding of three regulations was in very good category with the score of 1157 out og 1230 for the principals.The same category also applied to the library staff with the score of 1613 out of 1800. This suggests that the principals had known about the organization of school library. Likewise, school librarian have also understood and were able to carry out their duties in accordance with the existing regulations related to the operation of school library.  ]]>

<![CDATA[Surabaya as Literacy City has been starting in National Education Day 2 May 2014 and also rising their features and facility like Public reading room, Library and Mobile Library. And we also Concern with some worst Realty about literacy System in Surabaya, such as had been Close some library in Shoping Center in Surabaya, like in Cito Mall, Royal Plaza and Kapas Krampung Plaza cause some problem in operasional System have causing other problem can disturb many achievement of Surabaya as Literacy City. We have should to continue it for another Public Reading Room in Surabaya canât be like another Closed public reading room. And we must to minimalize it with Resources learning through the efforts of reviewing public reading room of the service as an essential element in an information centre. In order to show better utilization of the future for the public after the assessment is the primary focus of our study was to determine the extent to which the services at the general public reading room so that the future can be used as a positive response for public reading room. The method used is quantitative approach with the method of data collection in the form of an explanatory through observation, literature, and the distribution of questionnaires to the respondents in all four public reading room in park city of Surabaya. Overall from 4 to place our study showed that the frequency of public perception in total into the bad category based on indicators of Vincent theory who leads a balanced way of internal and external factors. It shows that the public reading room services that already exist is still considered very less than the maximum and the indication of the need for an increase in the promotion, facilities and innovation program for the future.  ]]>

<![CDATA[The existence of special library UPTD the "Kampung Anak Negeri" became one medium that can be used to develop the potential of street children themselves a growing number from year to year. This study conducted descriptive quantitative research that aim to describe the condition of special libraries in UPTD âKampung Anak Negeri", especially in terms of collections, facilities and infrastructure, library services and human resources (librarian). The four aspects are then compared with the standard of the special library collated by the National Library in 2011. In this study, data collection technique conducted in July 2016 using interview techniques as a primary technique performed on librarians and include interviews with street children as well as staff of Colleagues  staff UPTD. Based on the data obtained can be concluded that the amount of the book collection of about 752 titles of books, collection development has not reached 5% per year, spacious room just 35m² and has only 2 rack collection. Services available are services in place read, circulation services and information search services, while the librarians who manage only one person with a background in library and information science education. In general, special libraries UPTD condition does not meet the standard, so this affects is not maximized to support learning process as well as in facilities that match the information needs of street children.   ]]>

<![CDATA[The background of documenting manuscript of Kabuyutan Ciburuy is related to the process of community understanding towards conducting preservation, real value of documenting and looking at the connection between documentation and efforts of preserving the cultural values embodied in the ancient manuscript. This study uses qualitative ethnographic approach. Data was collected through literature study, interview and observation. The result is that the ancient manuscripts can be maintained and prevented from damaging by storing them in proper temperature and humidity, and culturally maintained appropriately, besides understanding in the cultural context. Beside that, transforming to digital media is also done to avoid the old manuscripts from physical damage, although the contents are used for various purposes. Furthermore, the value of ancient manuscripts from this documentation is not only informative, historical and educational, but more culturally nuanced because the main purpose of this documentation activities aimed at developing the culture so that people of Kabuyutan Ciburuy understand the benefit value of ancient manuscript.]]>

<![CDATA[Successfull organizations are able to design and manage their information and the supporting technologies as a strategic weapon as well as an information utility. This requires information to be readily available on an as-needed basis to staff, management, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. The Bodies of Archives and Libraries Surabaya City use the strategic marketing to disseminate information resources at their disposal. The purpose of this research is to know, how the marketing of library in The Bodies of Archives and Libraries Surabaya City. The research method uses literature study with data collection techniques derived from interviews and literature study. For data analysis, the results were processed and analyzed interviews with marketing theory using some of the literature from of books, journals and the results of previous studies. The Bodies of Library and Archive Surabaya city was found some elements in the Marketing Mix or library marketing strategy that has been applied in the library. Adjustment of marketing strategy or concept 7P Marketing Mix are Product, Price, Promotion, Place, People, Process and Physical Evidence in the library have increased performance results The Bodies of Archives and Libraries Surabaya City since 2003 until now.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media sosial youtube menjadi situs pilihan penyelenggara penyiaran khususnya televisi sebagai tempat pengelolaan rekaman dokumen audio visual yang telah tayang bagi publik. Setiap program yang ditayangkan oleh televisi harus mengikuti pedoman yang tidak boleh dilanggar, dimana kegiatan penayangan penyiaran berada dibawah lembaga yang berwenang terhadap isi siaran yakni Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah televisi ANTV dengan program Pesbukersnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan sampling non probability dan teknik sampling purposive. Langkah yang pertama dilakukan adalah menonton program Pesbukers ANTV. Kedua melakukan analisa penerapan pedoman perilaku penyiaran dan standar program siaran pada program Pesbukers. Ketiga melakukan pengumpulan data dengan melakukan wawancara dengan tim pesbukers ANTV mengenai penggunaan pedoman P3 dan SPS dalam produksi dan pengelolaan rekaman dokumen. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa P3 dan SPS merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dan menjadi acuan bagi lembaga penyiaran sebagai dasar, tujuan dan arah dalam setiap kegiatan siaran televisi. Faktor kreativitas terkadang menjadi unsur terjadinya pelanggaran terhadap P3 dan SPS sehingga dalam setiap episode, tim Pesbukers selalu berusaha untuk tidak keluar dari batasan skenario yang telah disiapkan oleh tim kreatif untuk seluruh pemain dan aktor yang tampil. Sementara ANTV juga memanfaatkan media sosial youtube sebagai wadah rekaman dokumen Pesbukers yang telah tayang. Perlunya dilakukan pemotongan tayangan Pesbukers di media sosial youtube yang dinilai melanggar, sehingga publik tetap mendapatkan tontonan program televisi yang baik dan mendidik.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses about the implication of disposal and explains the existence of Institution of archive in University which has a function to protect the archive. The problem in this study is how is the application of the archive disposal in University Indonesia that has no retention schedule and has a retention schedule.The objective of this research is to identify the program application of archive disposal and to assess the disposal of  archive which is done by the Centre of Archive Administration University Indonesia becoming model of archive in the State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative. The result of this research is that UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta did not have record retention schedule. So itâs difficult to destroy the archives. And archive still keep in the unit, without make appraisal.]]>

<![CDATA[Between Senayan Library Management System or usually called SLiMS and e-DDC (electronic Dewey Decimal Classification) now is the most popular library application software which has a lot of user, because it is simple to use, has an updating guarantee from its developers and off course both of them are free of charge. Although SLiMS and e-DDC are different application at all, as practically they are recommended to be used togather for library management. SLiMS is used for library automation and e-DDC is to find collectionâs classification. Many users of SLiMS and e-DDC ever give suggestions about developing SLiMS with e-DDC include in its database, and then librarians will be easier to manage their libraries. Because of that suggestion, finally a plugin as an additional application for SLiMS has been created and developed. That plugin was build with PHP language programming and MySQL database. The purpose of this paper is to enrich about reference of development of library application, especially those based on Free Open Source Software (FOSS). This paper use Research and Development Methods. And the result of this paper is Plugin e-DDC for SLiMS which has released on May, 2nd 2015, in order to celebrate âNational Education Dayâ.  ]]>
