Primary and secondary level of education are essential elements for character building and success of younger generation in developing the nation. Education and learning at this level will very much determine how in the future and individual is able to play role and be competitive in the nationâs development. One of the important element in the strategy of educational learning in school which is often forgotten by decision makers of principals and library managers is the library. Library operation in schools and mandrassas with a policy that has high legitimacy, should be implemented immediately. How ever, what happened was the opposite. By reason of limited fund, time and energy, many schools choose not to implement the rule about library.Base on this issue, this research studied the policy of principals regarding the implementations of act No. 43 of 2007, Government Regulation No. 19 of 2005 and Ministry of National Education Regulations No. 25 of 2008. The research was conducted in 6 schools and the questionnaire was distributed to 6 principals and 12 library staff in Bandung city. The results showed that understanding of three regulations was in very good category with the score of 1157 out of 1230 for the principals.The same category also applied to the library staff with the score of 1613 out of 1800. This suggests that the principals had known about the organization of school library. Likewise, school librarian have also understood and were able to carry out their duties in accordance with the existing regulations related to the operation of school library.

ABSTRACT This subject is examined in the study is whether the Organization's communication about to the performance of librarian at BAPUSIPDA in West Java. The purpose of this research is to determine (1) the Organization about the power performance communication library in BAPUSIPDA, West Java, (2) the communication line to the bottom about the performance of librarian in BAPUSIPDA, West Java, (3) the communication line to the top about the performance of librarian at BAPUSIPDA in West Java. The population in the study was BAPUSIPDA in West Java libraries powered by the sample as many as 56 people. Research methods using descriptive method quantitative approach. The results showed Organizational communication in West Java BAPUSIPDA categorized good. Organizational communication in West Java BAPUSIPDA categorized effectively, however we recommend that the library can create a more effective organization communications so that the performance of the library has increased horsepower.Keywords: Organizational Communication, Librarian, Performance  ABSTRAK Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk mengupas komunikasi organisasi yang ada di Badan Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah (BAPUSIPDA) Jawa Barat. Tujuan Penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui (1) komunikasi organisasi dilihat dari kinerja tenaga perpustakaan di BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat, (2) alur komunikasi ke bawah dilihat dari kinerja tenaga perpustakaan di BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat, (3) alur komunikasi ke atas dilihat dari kinerja tenaga perpustakaan di BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah tenaga perpustakaan BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat dengan sampel sebanyak 56 orang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Komunikasi organisasi di BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat, berlangsung secara baik.Komunikasi organisasi di BAPUSIPDA Jawa Barat dikategorikan efektif, namun sebaiknya perpustakaan dapat menciptakan komunikasi organisasi yang lebih efektif agar kinerja tenaga perpustakaan semakin meningkat.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Organisasi, Tenaga Perpustakaan, Kinerja

AbstractA principal is the highest leader in school. The operation of school library is not separated from the principal leadership. This study aimed to investigate the principal leadership of SMAN 10. The principal management was measured by the leading indicators which include decision-making, communicating, motivating, selecting people and developing people with the use of management theory of Lewis A. Allen. The organization of school library was measured through the indicators of service, collections, and budget. The population of this study was students of SMAN 10 Bandung, with a sample of 95 people. This study used descriptive method with quantitative approach. The data was collected using closed questionnaire and interview. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that principal leadership make a positive contribution to the school organization. Broadly speaking, the principal management of SMAN 10 Bandung is in good category. The test results of principal management in school library organization show that the leading indicators are in the moderate category.Keywords: leadership, school library, principal managementAbstrakKepala Sekolah adalah pimpinan tertinggi yang berada di sekolah. Penyelenggaraan perpustakaan sekolah tidak terlepas dari kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah di SMAN 10 Bandung. Manajemen kepala sekolah diukur melalui indikator leading yang terdiri dari pengambilan keputusan, pengkomunikasian, pemberian motivasi, penyeleksian orang-orang dan pengembangan orang-orang dengan menggunakan teori manajemen dari Lewis A.Allen. Penyelenggaraan perpustaka sekolah diukur melalui indikator layanan, koleksi dan anggaran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMAN 10 Bandung, dengan sampel 95 orang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan  data menggunakan angket tertutup dan  wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah memberikan kontribusi positif pada penyelenggaraan Sekolah. Secara garis besar manajemen Kepala Sekolah SMAN 10 Bandung termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil pengujian terhadap manajemen Kepalab Sekolah terhadap penyelenggaraan Perpustakaan Sekolah menunjukkan indikator leading berada dalam kategori sedang.Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan, Perpustakaan Sekolah, manajemen kepala sekolahÂ

Abstrak. Perpustakaan merupakan bagian integral dilingkungan sekolah, oleh karena itu perlu adanya kerjasama dalam memaksimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan jawaban dari rumusan kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah di Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan. Selain dari itu untuk mengetahui bentuk kerjasama dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah dan untuk mengetahui kriteria layanan perpustakaan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat kerjasama antara guru dengan pustakawan dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama penting untuk dilakukan guna mengoptimalkan potensi layanan perpustakaan sekolah. kerjasama yang dilakukan yaitu dalam bentuk pelaksanaan program kegiatan perpustakaan, pembinaan minat baca, promosi perpustakaan dan pembinaan koleksi. Perpustakaan SD Hikmah Teladan sebagai perpustakaan sekolah perlu melakukan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak secara terus menerus dalam layanan perpustakaan sekolah.Kata kunci: kerjasama guru dengan pustakawan, layanan perpustakaan, pustakawan sekolahAbstract. The library is an integral part of the school environment, therefore the need for cooperation in maximizing the potential of school library services. This research is done to find the answer from the formula of cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library services in elementary school libraries Hikmah Teladan. Aside from that to determine the form of cooperation in the school library services and to determine the criteria for school library services, theoretically and practically expected results of this study can be useful for SD Hikmah Teladan Library. The technique used for sampling is non-random sampling technique. Data collected by interview, observation and documentation. Data processing techniques carried out by way of data reduction, data analysis and conclusion. The results showed that there is cooperation between teachers and librarians in the school library service. Cooperation is important to do in order to optimize the potential of school library services. cooperation carried out in the form of implementation of the program of activities of the library, development of reading, and library promotion and development of the collection. Exemplary SD Hikmah Teladan Library as school libraries need to work with various parties continuously in the school library service. Keywords: Cooperation Between Teachers With Librarian,library services, school librarian.

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh tampilan promosi, isi pesan promosi, dan intensitas penyajian promosi layanan perpustakaan menggunakan Xbanner terhadap perilaku pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan oleh mahasiswa di Perpustakaan Universitas pendidikan Indonesia, yang meliputi sub variabel perhatian, minat, keinginan, dan perilaku pemanfaatan layanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang diambil sebanyak 100 orang dari populasi sivitas akademika UPI yang tercatat sebagai anggota Perpustakaan UPI yang berkunjung ke Perpustakaan UPI pada minggu ke-2 bulan September yang berjumlah sebanyak 10.800 orang. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan rumus Taro Yamane serta teknik pengambilan sampel Stratified proportionate random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara, angket, studi kepustakaan, dan observasi. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tampilan promosi, isi pesan promosi, dan intensitas penyajian promosi menggunakan Xbanner berpengaruh secara bersama-sama terhadap perhatian, minat, keinginan, dan kecenderungan berperilaku kearah positif, pengaruh terbesar yaitu terhadap keinginan. Perhatian dan kecenderungan berperilaku berkategori tinggi sedangkan untuk minat berkategori sedang.

Tulisan ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui âBagaimana komunikasi antarbudaya etnis Sunda dalam masyarakat multikultur?â Untuk mengungkap fenomena tersebut penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan model interaksionisme simbolik untuk melihat perilaku dan interaksi manusia yang dapat diperbedakan karena ditampilkan melalui melalui simbol dan maknanya. Untuk mendapatkan data, penulis menggunakan tiga teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi, wawancara mendalam dan telaah dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan telah terjadi adaptasi timbal balik antara etnis Sunda sebagai pendatang dengan etnis Rejang sebagai pribumi. Adanya sikap saling menghargai dan menghormati antara etnis pendatang dan pribumi memungkinkan setiap kelompok etnis tersebut untuk menjalankan kebudayaannya masing-masing. Masyarakat dari etnis Sunda dengan Rejang saat berdialog dapat menggunakan bahasa Sunda, bahasa Rejang atau bahasa melayu dialek Bengkulu. Hubungan antara kedua etnis tersebut sejauh ini telah berlangsung tanpa hambatan yang berarti karena masing-masing etnis telah saling menerima apa adanya.

This research aimed to find out how the implementation of MOOCs-based e-learning system was as an attempt to provide equal access to education athigher education level in Indonesia and to describe the user profile of MOOCs based e-learning. This research used a descriptive quantitative method, and the subjects of the research were 30 MOOCs participants drawn randomly. The design of the MOOCs-based e-learning implementedhad following features. Those were a) Bahasa Indonesia content; b) responsive media interface that can be accessed from a variety of devices; c) the use of short duration video content to facilitate buffering process; d) the use of interactive multimedia content; e) the use of social learningprinciples through the feature of discussion forum; and f) the use of gamification principles through the provision of badges for participants. The results of this research indicate that MOOCs-based e-learning system has the potential to improve the equal access to higher education with severalindicators. First, the majority of participants are females. Second, the latest education of most users is high school or vocational high school. Last, most have been working as employees.

AbstrakFenomena pengunaan media sosial sebagai media online semakin massive pada dekade ini. Kalangan muda sebagai generasi milenial atau digital native merupakan pengguna terbesar dalam penggunaan media sosial saat ini. Penelitian mengenai literasi digital masih jarang dilakukan terutama di Indonesia. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kalangan usia muda dengan rentang usia 17–21 tahun yang merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Informan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian sebanyak 5 orang dan 1 orang informan kunci dari pakar literasi media. Temuan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini menunjukan pentingnya program literasi digital yang memberikan dampak positif bagi pengetahuan, pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan media terutama media sosial yang saat ini sering dijadikan sumber informasi oleh khalayak terutama oleh kalangan yang berusia muda. Program ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan pada penyebaran informasi dalam menggunakan media massa terutama media sosial yang digunakan oleh kalangan usia muda sehingga ada kesadaran dalam menggunakan media. Pada pendidikan pelatihan (diklat) ini peserta belum semua mempunyai keahlian ini dikarenakan keahlian ini memerlukan latihan yang terus menerus dan konsisten sehingga mereka dapat melakukannya dengan baik. Oleh karena itu pendidikan literasi digital merupakan solusi yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan elemen masyarakat dan civitas akademika yang peduli terhadap kemajuan bangsa. AbstractThe phenomenon of the use of social media as an online media is increasingly massive in the use of this decade. Young people as the native millennial or digital generation are the biggest users in the use of social media today. Research on digital literacy is still rare, especially in Indonesia. The subjects of this study were young people aged 17-21 years that were active users of social media. This study uses a qualitative approach to the case study method. The informants who were used as research samples were 5 people and 1 key informant from media literacy experts. The findings obtained in this study indicate the importance of digital literacy programs that have a positive impact on knowledge, understanding and skills in using the media, especially social media which is now often used as a source of information by audiences, especially among young people. information on using mass media, especially social media used by young people so that there is awareness in using the media. In this education participants do not all have this expertise because this skill requires continuous and consistent training so that they can do it well. Therefore digital literacy education is a solution that can be done by the government and elements of society and academics who care about the progress of the nation.
