Abstract

Abstract: Bullying in educational settings, including pesantren, is a serious problem that can negatively affect the mental health and emotional well-being of santri. This study aims to explore the implementation of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as a counseling approach to build resilience of santri victims of verbal bullying at PP Salafiyah As-Syafi'iyah Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The main subject was a student with the initials AS who experienced verbal bullying, such as taunts, insults, and demeaning comments. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the subject. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis method, to identify patterns and themes relevant to the implementation of therapy. The results showed that the implementation of SFBT through four counseling sessions that included problem identification, goal setting, action planning, and evaluation was effective in increasing students' self-confidence, social skills, and psychological resilience. The students showed significant improvements in dealing with social pressure, the courage to return to participating in pesantren activities, and the ability to manage negative emotions arising from bullying. The conclusion of this study is that SFBT is a potential and effective counseling approach to address the impact of verbal bullying in the pesantren environment. By utilizing individual strengths and focusing on solutions, this method can help students develop resilience and emotional well-being.Abstrak: Bullying di lingkungan pendidikan, termasuk pesantren, merupakan masalah serius yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan mental dan kesejahteraan emosional santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) sebagai pendekatan konseling untuk membangun resiliensi santri korban bullying verbal di PP Salafiyah As-Syafi’iyah Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek utama adalah seorang santri berinisial AS yang mengalami bullying verbal, seperti ejekan, penghinaan, dan komentar merendahkan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam dengan subjek. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode analisis tematik, untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema yang relevan dengan implementasi terapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SFBT melalui empat sesi konseling yang mencakup identifikasi masalah, penetapan tujuan, perencanaan tindakan, dan evaluasi efektif dalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, kemampuan sosial, dan ketahanan psikologis santri. Santri menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam menghadapi tekanan sosial, keberanian untuk kembali berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pesantren, serta kemampuan untuk mengelola emosi negatif yang timbul akibat bullying. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa SFBT merupakan pendekatan konseling yang potensial dan efektif untuk mengatasi dampak bullying verbal di lingkungan pesantren. Dengan memanfaatkan kekuatan individu dan fokus pada solusi, metode ini dapat membantu santri mengembangkan resiliensi dan kesejahteraan emosional.

Abstract

Abstract: Art therapy is a form of experiential treatment that involves the use of art materials, the therapeutic process includes the guidance of an art therapist, and the resulting artwork is assumed to contribute to the reduction of psychosocial problems. A systematic literature review was conducted to provide an overview of art therapy interventions for children and adolescents with psychosocial issues. Three forms of therapist behavior were demonstrated non-directive, directive, and eclectic. The three forms of therapeutic behavior combined with different means and forms of expression showed a significant impact on psychosocial problems. The results showed that the use of means and forms of expression and therapist behaviors can be applied flexibly. For future research, it is recommended to present detailed information on the potential for more beneficial impacts from the perspective of therapy, means, art techniques, and therapist behaviors.Abstrak: Art therapy merupakan bentuk penanganan eksperiensial yang melibatkan penggunaan bahan seni, proses terapi ini melibatkan bimbingan seorang terapis seni, dan karya seni yang dihasilkan diasumsikan berkontribusi pada pengurangan masalah psikososial. Sistematic review literatur dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran umum tentang intervensi art therapy untuk anak-anak dan remaja dengan masalah psikososial. Tiga bentuk perilaku terapis yang diperlihatkan meliputi non-direktif, direktif, dan eklektik. Ketiga bentuk perilaku terapi dikombinasikan dengan berbagai cara dan bentuk ekspresi yang menunjukkan dampak signifikan pada masalah psikososial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sarana dan bentuk ekspresi serta perilaku terapis dapat diterapkan secara fleksibel. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan untuk menyajikan informasi terperinci tentang potensi dampak yang lebih menguntungkan dari perspektif terapi, sarana, teknik seni, dan perilaku terapis.
