Abstract

masonry, and etc. In general, mortar made with low strength, between 3-17 MPa and for high strength mortar needed more cement, where are they had relation of compressive strength and water absorption in the mortar. The relation of compressive strength, water absorption and weight density of mortar caused of water cement ratio, and the summed of cement and sand in mortar mixed. Objective of this research was to know the fit of propert high strength mortar for concrete strengthening, where mortar had well workability and more supplied in Indonesia. Compressive strength test used cilindric specimen for concrete and mortar measured 300 mm in hight with 150 mm diameter. Pull out test for concrete used specimen like to the compressive strength test, pull out test for mortar made from cubicus specimen measured 150 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm. All specimen was tested to produce the compressive strenght and pull-out of steel in mortar and concrete. The result show that mortar as well as used for concrete strengthening. Where the compressive strength of mortar was 56,125 MPa highly from concrete as 196,83%. In pull-out test of steel for the two material had same value, therefor mortar was fit to added for concrete strengthening

Abstract

This paper is a literature study about lightweight high strength concrete by incorporating expanded polystyrene beads. Basically polystyrene is disposal material from packaging industry. However, after being processed in a special manner, polystyrene can be expanded and used as lightweight concrete making material. Therefore, the use of expanded polystyrene beads in concrete is not only beneficial for engineering studies but also provide solution for the environmental problem

Abstract

The robots were the result of technology development which used to help human being, both in industrial orbeyond the industrial. In the beginning, the robots were such automatic machine which the system stillfeature as mechanic automatic with movement which controlled by simple control system. With thedevelopment of microcomputer, control system in the robot being developed by use the computer where themovement control and their sensor handled by the computer. It make the robot more skilled to handle anykind of jobs. In this study, the authors designed a type of arm robot. The planning of control system of armrobot using computer as data processor with interface PPI-8255 and parallel port (LPT1). Theimplementation of this study were one robot which made from iron frame by the prior driver power that weresix DC motors which use transmission system with gear wheel characteristic, and as the movement/positionsensor used encoder plates which will read by optocoupler. The system planning include generally mechanicsystem planning and hardware system planning

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know mechanical properties of bitumen mixtures coconut charcoal powder. This research was done in Highway and transportation laboratory of Civil Department, Tadulako University. Percentage of coconut charcoal powder content based on weight of bitumen. The percentage of coconut charcoal powder in bitumen are 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% respectively and comparison with properties of bitumen without additive material. The properties of bitumen include the following: the penetration value of bitumen, the Ductility value, the softening point value, density of bitumen value, loss on heating of bitumen, flash and fire point of bitumen values.The result of this research indicates that the coconut charcoal powder in bitumen between 2% to 8% still enough for spesification except on ductility properties of bitumen values. This implies that, increment the coconut charcoal in bitumen potential influence on asphalt pavement include stiffness and brittle of mixtures.

Abstract

The trip generation is a submodel of four steps transportation planning model, used for calculating the mount of trip generation caused by land usage. The aim of this research is modeling the trip generation of Western Palu Region used by regression analyses. Data of traveler characteristics in study area i.e, amount of daily movement, number of family members,number of car ownerships, the amount of income were collected with a survey used quisioner methods.The result of this research found that the model of trip generation of Western Palu Region followed the multiple regression model, Y= 0,679+ 0,608X1 + 0,274X2 with coefficient of determination value, R2=0,294

Abstract

One effort to reduce the weight of the building is through the use of light particles in the concrete or mortar.For that particles of compost to be one alternative to be used. Utilization of compost particles directly willreduce the effects of environmental pollution due to garbage. Technically, in some cases the strength ofconcrete is not a determining factor but rather the ductility. Therefore in this study will be reviewed andfurther analyzed the mechanical properties of lightweight concrete that uses compost particles as basicmaterials. Mechanical properties and tensile strength referred to is the compressive strength, with normalmortar as a comparison.Based on the results of the weight of the material obtained gr/cm3 mortar respectively, cement 1.25, sand1.60, 0.31 and compost particles with water content 12%. In this case the effect of adding compost is adecrease in compressive strength of 48.74%, 68.78% decrease in tensile strength and weight reduction of9.85%. In this case the application in the manufacture of bricks is still possible, if based on a minimumcompressive strength requirement. The composition of lightweight concrete blocks with a mixture of 3%addition of compost particles are 2Semen: 6.25 Sand: 4Kompos: 2.5 water, which will produce concreteblocks with a weight of 1.89 gr/cm3 and compressive strength 7.7 MPa

Abstract

This research presents the study about the effects of adding admixture Sikament-163 to the increasing of concrete compression strength vs. concrete’s age. The percentage of Sikament-163, which is added in concrete mixture, is 1.0 % by cement weight. This research was conducted using each 25 of test specimens for normal concrete and added Sikament-163 concrete with the same slump. The tests were conducted when the concrete’s age reached 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. The results of test show that the concrete compression strength of the concrete using Sikament-163 increase 13.5 % average above the normal concrete for each concrete’s age. This is because the adding admixture Sikament-163 into concrete mixture can reduce the volume of used water for the same slump; therefore, concrete, which was produced, is more compact and more strength.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Development Impact of Rural Infrastructure in PNPM RuralProgram in Toli-Toli. Research conducted on the implementation of PNPM Rural Program in Toli-Toli forfiscal year 2007 and 2008.Primary data obtained from interviews with relevant parties and direct observation in the field, then the datais processed with Descriptive Analysis.The results showed the impact of rural infrastructure development in poor communities in Toli Toli, namely:increasing revenue, impoving public education, improving health and improving the public midset. Impact onvillage institutions, namely: the function and role of local government to be effective, institutions ofparticipatory development and improvement of the quality of facilities.and social infrastructure andeconomic base of society

Abstract

The paper presents the use of an algorithm to apply constraint to a governing system of simultaneous equations. The method consists of the implementation of the constraints directly on the system of simuitcineous gouerning equations prior to the solution operations. By the application of the method, problematic aspects such as possibility of the enlargement of the coefficient matrix size, or possible “ill-condition” of the matrix, can he avoided.As a by-product, the met hod can also be used as a tool to compute for support reactions. The method can he applied suitably well in a computer analysis program.
