Abstract

Enzim yang memengaruhi proses inflamasi, yaitu enzim COX-1 dan COX-2, berfungsi dalam pembentukan prostaglandin untuk pembentukan inflamasi. Xanthorrhizol mempunyai efek antiinflamasi sehingga dilakukan uji simulasi docking xanthorrizol terhadap enzim COX-1 dan COX-2. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui interaksi senyawa xanthorrhizol yang berasal dari tanaman temulawak (Curcuma xanthorriza) dengan sisi aktif enzim COX-1 dan COX-2. Proses docking senyawa tersebut dengan software Autodock 3.0. Hasil docking molekuler antara xanthorrhizol dengan COX-1 yaitu atom O pada xanthorrhizol berinteraksi dengan Arg120 dan Tyr355, interaksi xanthorrhizol dengan COX-2 yaitu gugus OH dari xanthorrhizol berinteraksi dengan asam amino Gln178 dan Leu338. Leu338 merupakan salah satu asam amino spesifik pada kantung ikatan COX-2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan xanthorrhizol dapat berinteraksi dengan sisi aktif enzim COX-1 dan COX-2, memiliki afinitas yang lebih tinggi untuk berikatan pada sisi aktif COX-2 dibandingkan pada COX-1. Kata kunci: Antiinflamasi, COX-1, COX-2, docking, xanthorrhizol

Abstract

Radikal bebas dalam tubuh dapat memicu terjadinya kerut. Salah satu upaya mengatasi kerut adalah dengan antioksidan. Beras hitam telah terbukti memiliki efek antioksidan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan sediaan mikroemulsi ekstrak beras hitam yang stabil dan memiliki efek antikerut. Penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan uji daya antioksidan ekstrak beras hitam secara in vitro terhadap DPPH. Kemudian dilakukan optimasi terhadap basis sediaan mikroemulsi. Basis yang optimal lalu diformulasikan dengan ekstrak beras hitam. Terhadap sediaan mikroemulsi ekstrak beras hitam dilakukan uji stabilitas fisika kimia dan uji efek antikerut. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa formula mikroemulsi ekstrak beras hitam yang stabil memiliki komposisi ekstrak beras hitam 4%, VCO 28,8%, Croduret-50-SS 28,8%, gliserin 28,8%, dan dapar sitrat fosfat pH 3,0 9,6%. Efektivitas antikerut ekstrak beras hitam dalam sediaan mikroemulsi lebih besar daripada dalam sediaan emulsi. Penurunan rata-rata level kerut oleh mikroemulsi ekstrak beras hitam adalah 44,46%±19,7%, sedangkan oleh emulsi ekstrak beras hitam adalah 36,6%±19,5%.       Kata kunci: Antikerut, beras hitam, mikroemulsi

Abstract

Permasalahan pencemaran air yang disebabkan oleh limbah krom industri penyamakan kulit di kawasan Sukaregang, Kabupaten Garut perlu diolah dengan teknik fitoremediasi dengan tanaman dari keluarga Ponteridaceae. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar penyerapan tanaman eceng-ecengan dan menentukan eceng mana yang paling efektif menyerap krom. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahap pengumpulan bahan dan determinasi tanaman eceng-ecengan, pengolahan limbah dengan fitoremediasi selama 21 hari, dan analisis kadar krom dengan spektrofotometer serapan atom. Kapasitas penyerapan Eichhornia crassipes Solm., Heteranthera peduncularis, dan Monochoria vaginalis adalah 1,5395; 0,5728; dan 0,1057 µg/g. Berdasarkan uji Duncan, disimpulkan bahwa Eichhornia crassipes Solm. merupakan tanaman eceng paling efektif yang memiliki kemampuan paling tinggi dalam menyerap logam krom limbah penyamakan kulit. Kata kunci: Eichhornia crassipes Solm., fitoremediasi, Heteranthera peduncularis, krom, Monochoria vaginalis

Abstract

Alprazolam is benzodiazepines drug which used to manage short-term anxiety disorder, also used for the treatment of panic disorder, with or without agographobia. Many factors can affect drug dissolution rates from tablets, hence possibly drug bioavailability- including the crystal size of the drug, tablet disintegration mechanisms and rates, the method of granulation, type and amount of granulating agent employed, type, amount and method of incorporation of disintegrants and lubricants and other formulation and processing factors. The aim of the study was to prepare and evaluate alprazolam tablets with dosage strengths 1 mg, with wet granulation method, as an adjuvant used: corn starch and lactosa sebagai filler, sodium lauril sulfat as solubilizer, sodium starch glycolat as desintegrant,  Erytrocin CI 45430 as colloring, polivinyl pirolidon K 30 as binder with variatrion concentration, ethanol 95% as wetting agent, talc, silicon dioksida coloidal and magnesium stearat as glidant and antiadherent, test for the granule are particle distribution, water content, angle of repose, bulk density, taped density, apparent density (compressibility), and test for the tablet dosage are description of tablet, wight uniformity, hardness, desintegration time, content uniformity, disolution, for the selected formula tested the comparison of disolution and bioequivalence to 1 mg Alprazolam tablet innovator, the results obtained, that the tablet alprazolam 1 mg, are meet the requirements. Keywords:  Alprazolam, bioequivalence test, dissolution comparison test

Abstract

Lidah buaya (Aloe vera L.) memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang tinggi, tetapi rasanya pahit sehingga jarang dikonsumsi langsung. Rasa pahit ini diatasi dengan cara dibuat sediaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sediaan granul effervescent sari kering lidah buaya sebagai makanan tambahan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pembuatan sari kering, penapisan fitokimia, formulasi sediaan granul effervescent, uji kualitas, dan uji kesukaan granul effervescent. Hasil freeze drying berupa sari kering sebesar 7,57%. Penapisan fitokimia menunjukkan adanya kuinon, flavonoid, dan saponin. Granul effervescent diformulasikan dengan konsentrasi sari kering 20% (F1), 25% (F2), dan 30% (F3). Hasil uji kualitas granul menunjukkan bahwa granul effervescent yang dibuat memenuhi persyaratan yang baik dengan kadar air sebesar 0,20-0,21%; kerapatan curah 0,534-0,5384 g/mL; kerapatan mampat 0,6154-0,6178 g/mL dengan indeks Carr 13,29±0,025%; kecepatan alir 9,61-9,71 g/s; sudut istirahat 27,15-27,79o; pH 5,82-5,8; serta F1 sebagai formula yang paling disukai. Kata kunci: Granul effervescent, lidah buaya, makanan tambahan, sari kering

Abstract

There are two enzymes that influence inflammatory process, which are COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, have function in the establishment of prostaglandin that contribute in inflammation. Xanthorrhizol has anti-inflammatory effect, so it can be developed and tested by docking simulation to COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. The aim of this research is to determine the interaction between xanthorrhizol that is derived from Curcuma xanthorriza with the active site of COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. Docking simulation was done by using AutoDock Tools 4.0. The interactions between xanthorrhizol with COX-1 are O- xanthorrhizol interact with Arg120 and Tyr355. The interactions between xanthorrhizol with COX-2 are OH-xanthorrhizol interact with Gln178 and Leu338. Leu338 is specific amino acid in the binding pocket of COX-2. Xanthorrhizol can interact with the active site of COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, show better affinity to COX-2. Keywords: Antiinflamasi, COX-1, COX-2, docking, xanthorrhizol

Abstract

Free radicals in the body can lead to wrinkle. The use of antioxidants can prevent wrinkle. Black rice known to have an antioxidant effect. The purpose of this study is to get a microemulsion preparation of black rice extract that stable and has antiwrinkle effect. Research was started by antioxidant power test in vitro against DPPH, then the optimization of the microemulsion preparation base. The optimum base formula then formulated with black rice extract. Then tested the chemical and physical stability test, also antiwrinkle effect. The results showed that black rice extract microemulsion has composition as black rice extract of 4%, VCO of 28.8%, Croduret-50-SS of 28.8%, glycerol of 28.8%, and citrate phosphate buffer pH 3.0 of 9.6%. The antiwrinkle effectivity of black rice extract in microemulsion form was more than in emulsion form. The average decrease of wrinkle level by black rice extract microemulsion was 44.46%±19.7%, and by black rice extract emulsion was 36.6%±19.5%.       Keywords: Antiwrinkle, black rice, microemulsion

Abstract

Water pollution caused by waste chrome leather tanning industry at Sukaregang, Garut Regency should be done by phytoremediation technique using plants from Ponteridaceae family. This research needs to know the level of absorption of Ponteridaceae plants and determine which one is the most effective to absorb chrome. The phase of this research is by gathering materials and determination of the Ponteridaceae plants, waste treatment with phytoremediation in 21 days, and analysis of chromium levels with an atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The absorption capacity of Eichhornia crassipes Solm., Heteranthera peduncularis and Monochoria vaginalis are 1.5395; 0.5728, and 0.1057 µg/g. Based on the Duncan test, it is concluded that Eichhornia crassipes Solm. is the most effective among them with the highest ability to absorb metal chrome tannery wastes. Keywords: Chrome, Eichhornia crassipes Solm., Heteranthera peduncularis, Monochoria vaginalis, phytoremediation

Abstract

Aloe vera has high nutrition content, but bitter taste so direct consumption infrequently. The bitter tastes overcome with preparation. The aim of this study is to make effervescent granule of dried aloe gel as food supplement. The steps in this study consist of making of dried aloe gel, phytochemistry screening and formulation of effervescent granule, quality tests, and hedonic test of effervescent granule. Freeze drying produced 7.57% dried aloe gel. Phytochemistry screening showed quinones, flavonoids, and saponins content. Effervescent granule formulated with concentration of dried gel 20% (F1), 25% (F2), and 30% (F3). The result of granule quality tests showed that effervescent granule meet good requirements with moisture content 0.20-0.21%, bulk density 0.5341-0.5384 g/mL, tapped density 0.6154-0.6178 g/mL with Carr index 13.29±0.025%, flow rate 9.61-9.71 g/s, rest angel 27.15-27.79o, pH 5.82-5.8, and F1 as the most favorable formula. Keywords: Aloe vera, dried gel, effervescent granule, food supplement
