Abstract

This research try to comprehend implementation of learning management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 3 Palembang, South Sumatera. It finds that learning procedure has been implemented by teachers of MAN 3 Palembang. It includes: planning, actuating, organizing, and supervising/evaluating in a relatively good manner. But in the aspect of evaluation, there is still a weakness, i.e.: teachers feel little difficulty in doing daily learning evaluation for each of class. In increasing teacher competency in learning management, they follow some of seminars, trainings, surfing the internet, discussing with peer teacher, etc. Madrasah’s headmaster also support in improving teacher competency by enrolling the teachers in seminars, trainings, completing learning media and learning resources, and held meeting in every end of semester.

Abstract

Teachers are expected to increase quality of learning outcomes in the learning process. This research aims to know whether Cooperative Learning type of think pair can improve learning outcomes of Islamic religious subject. Based on data analysis it conclude that before deploying this learning model the frequency of the overall student learning outcomes as follows: 6 students (15%) is high (good), 26 students (65%) classified as medium, and 8 students (20%) is low. After application of the model the outcomes are as follows: high category (good) 4 people (10% of students), moderate 28 people (70% of students), and a low 8 people (20% of students).

Abstract

The battles of ideology after Indonesia’s independence has implied indirectly toward the development of national education which was established by the Indonesian nation. Battles and debates of the concept of Indonesian education system has been becoming public consumptions that never ends. The implication is the double educational system which happens in Indonesia nowadays, and those are the real forms of ideology battles. Consequently the battles linearly impact on the institution dichotomy, educational objective, scientific and curriculum in every Indonesian  educational unit.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe: 1) The perception of teachers in the development of Islamic learning methodology by implementing Quantum Teaching in junior high school in Bengkulu 2) Development of Islamic learning methodologies by implementing Quantum Teaching in junior high school in Bengkulu. 3) factors supporting or inhibiting the implementation of religious teachers in the development of Islamic learning methodology by implementing Quantum Teaching in junior high school in Bengkulu. In line with the nature of the research, the research method used is qualitative method. Bogdan and Taylor (in Moeleong, 1996) defines "qualitative method" as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of words; written or spoken by people and the observed behavior. According to him, this research is directed at the background of the individual in a holistic (whole). Application of Quantum Teaching in the development of PAI learning methodologies is an interesting learning model conducted among teachers, students and schools in together to reach peak performance. Perception is what has been owned by religious teachers in most of the city of Bengkulu on the SMP. Therefore, a religious teacher in junior high trying to apply Quantum Teaching is a must. Being a Quantum teacher that will make the grade "Passionate and Joyful" needs to support all elements. This is evident from the Adabiyah teachers who do not understand the concept of Quantum Teaching in depth. The existence of several techniques for applying the principles of Quantum Teaching is incompatibilities with the culture, habits and the potential of the environment with the power of creativity; teachers can make use of existing facilities. Keyword: learning, Quantum Teaching

Abstract

There are some factors such as the learners, classroom, method, and teaching material that are needed to be considered in teaching and learning process. A teacher in a teaching and learning process or an instructor in a seminar needs to have serious attention on those factors to reach goals. There could be different method and communication ways for a lesson. Therefore, a teacher or an instructor needs to be smart in applying effective communication strategy to make the teaching and learning strategy optimal. A teacher or an instructor can apply an effective communication strategy in two ways. First, s/ he needs to apply the three - pattern of communication; one-way communication, two-way communication and multiple communication. Second, she needs to apply the The 5 Inevitable Laws of Effective Communication; respect, empathy, audible, clarity, humble, which is more famous with its acronyms REACH and it means to get or to gain something. Since the actual communication is basically the way to win others’ attention, love, interest, concern, sympathy, responsiveness, and positive answers.

Abstract

This article will explain how can world view of educator influence on education, either its process or personality of its alumni. The explanation will analyze the urgency of world view in various activities of life, especially in education. It will also analyze world view as foundation and content of education, and then the relation between educator personality and education he holds. The writing in turn will show that world view can be made as a method of analysis to see a coherency and synchronization among the components of system.

Abstract

Syaikh Abdurrahman Sidik has a deeply thought on akidah or faith. In the context of Islamic religious education at school or madrasah, the thought of Syaikh can be considered as a material to enrich Islamic religious learning. This article will elaborate five of thoughts of Syaikh about faith. It is considered as important thing in reserving ummah faith in daily live. This article will elaborate some of Syaikh’s thought, such as the matter of kalimah syahadat; fear and hope; obeyed and disobeyed, ni’mah and bala’; position af reason; and work and ‘ilm.

Abstract

Various forms of folklore such as fairy tales are almost extinct because they are less popular compared to some TV shows. Even though various forms of folklore are only a fewbut it teaches positive values that are useful for children's development. Tale, for example, is believed to have an important role in helping cognitive development such as language, thought, and sosioemosional of a child such as emotions and personality. A fairy tale is quite reasonable to have an important role toward the development of children. Development is a pattern of change as a result of biological, cognitive, and sosioemosional processes which has begun  from the time of conception until the rest of a lifetime .Among periods of human development, there is a phase of human development which refers to the storytelling phase, that  is when a child is in the age of  5 to 8 years.

Abstract

AbstractTeaching grammar has been regarded as prominence in teaching a language where there are some different views of how to teach it. Recently, with the introduction of Communicative Language Teaching, teaching grammar is emphasized on experiential learning and communicative goals. For these reasons the writer tried to implement inductive approach in Bahasa Inggris class, where all the students are from Non English Department. In inductive approach, the learners study examples and from these examples derives an understanding of the rule. the writer also presented the grammar integrated with four language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), where the writer paid more attention to enabling students to work with the target language during the lesson and communicate in it by the end of it.. In totally 14 meetings, the teacher applied inductive approach in presenting the materials and gave all exercises integratedly to four language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening). The data were collected by means of T-Test. From the results of the T-test, it can be seen that the T value is 5,193, with the significance value 0,001. T value is more than T table ,2,042 . It can be interpreted that there is a significant difference between the students’ achievement in grammar before the treatment and after the treatment by using inductive approach and applying the activities that integrates grammar into four language skills. It was also found that the students were enthusiastic along the teaching and learning processes by implementing inductive approach. Keywords: inductive, communicative language teaching

Abstract

Cooperative learning is learning that requires students to be responsible for himself and his group are responsible for. With cooperative learning students will more easily find and understand difficult concepts if they were in discussions with his students regularly work in groups to help each other in solving complex problems. In cooperative learning are learning techniques of the type of think-pair-share. Type of cooperative learning model think-pair-share it has the advantage that students can be a lot of time to think, respond, and help each other, the teacher only to deliver the material briefly, then ask a question, then the teacher wants students to think more deeply about the material that has been described and experienced. This technique can encourage students to enthusiastic in working together, and by applying a type of cooperative learning model think-pair-share is expected to better learning outcomes for students who learn on their own.
