Abstract

IbM activity aims to increase knowledge about local knowledge, improve skills develop proposals PTK Based Local Wisdom, compiling reports PTK (class action research) based Local Wisdom, and improve the skills of writing scientific articles. The method used in this activity is participatory learning and action (PLA), include: 1). coordination with partners in preparation for the implementation of the program, contact the team of experts, 2). preparation of several training modules to guide the activities, 3). training local wisdom Banyumas 4). technical training prepare proposals PTK Based Local Wisdom, 5). technical training prepare reports PTK Based Local Wisdom, 6). training technique of writing scientific articles, and 7). mentoring programs and evaluation. The result of this activity is the partner has insight into local wisdom Banyumas, and understand that PTK can be done using local wisdom as PTK Banyumas specific needs and character of students. Partners have the knowledge and skills in the preparation of proposals, the implementation of the PTK in the classroom, and the preparation of reports based on local wisdom PTK, partners have the knowledge and skill in preparing scientific articles, the partners have managed to draw up a report PTK and scientific articles have been published in scientific journals of education. Abstract

The research was aimed to observe : 1) nationalism values in history subject, 2) the strategiy nationalism values in teaching learning process in history subject, 3) the handicaps done by teacher in improving nationalism sense, 4) the learning outcome in improving nationalism values by history teacher. The research showed that student established nationalism values such as discipline, honesty, diversity, unity, and congruity. Throught speech, discussion, question and answer, also interesting media, relevant sources, motivation and reinforcement to national movement in Indonesia, the teacher was able to estabilish nationalism spirit for the eleventh graders of social class. Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject of Civics Education Learning Media through Brainstorming Techniques using three-dimensional media. This research was classified as a classroom action research consisting of 2 cycles. The object was fourth semester students (class A), Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The students’ number was 45 persons. For analyzing students’ learning interest, the instruments used in the data collection process were questionnaire sheet, the data analysis was done using descriptive qualitative. The indicator was improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. The research results showed it could improve the students’ learning interest and achievement in the subject. It could be proven by the improvement of students’ learning interest and achievement. In the first cycle, students’ learning interest was 65.36%. It was 77.44% in the second cycle. So, the average score of students’ learning interest was excellent. In addition, it could also improve students’ learning achievement. In the first cycle, the improvement was 71.43%. Abstract

This study entitled Reservoir Penjalin Society of Agricultural and Life Paguyangan Brebes Year 2004-2010. The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of farm life Penjalin Reservoir and its influence on social and economic life Paguyangan community. This study uses historical method includes four stages, namely (1) heuristic (collecting sources) in the form of books District in Figures and interviews with informants and related offices, such as reservoir management Penjalin, BPP Chief Paguyangan Agricultural District, and others; (2) criticism of sources, in order to get a source that can be justified and relevant to the issues under review; (3) interpretation (interpretation) of data obtained based on facts obtained from the informants, and (4) historiography (the writing of history) as the process of preparation of the historical facts from various sources that have been selected in a form of historical writing. District of Paguyangan located south of the capital city of Bradford with a distance of about 84 km and an altitude of approximately 342 m above sea level, while the reservoir Penjalin is ± 2.4 km south of the capital district and 12 kilometers from Paguyangan District Bumiayu. The results of this study is the first Penjalin Dam began in March 1930 and completed in May 1934, the development of agriculture in Sub Paguyangan supported by good geographical conditions, the third dam construction Penjalin influence on social life that had been developed such as in terms of education, religion and tradition, and economic life of the marked changes in livelihoods, changing facilities, changes in housing conditions and income. Abstract

Museum having the role and function of to use in the life of. Function museum unable to give spirit to develop the idea. Besides its function gather, identify, recording and next exhibiting. These functions explain a museum is not just exhibition dead , but also invited the historian , experts history, the community, teachers and students to have knowledge and get information value relics left by the history. This study was conducted in museum BRI and museum Jenderal Sudirman and including research qualitative. Technique data collection using interviews, observation and study documents. Abstract

“BUS PATAS” focus on the daily activities of the school were directed to the achievement of academic and non academic all students by allocating education resources (teachers, staff, equipment, supplies, materials, and funds) in order to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the school agreed. Development of school achievement both in academic and non-academic via the “BUS PATAS”, conducted by three (3) main principles, namely: (a) raising Culture Superior School, (b) make up the school community who have Active Participation and responsibilities in school activities, and (c) build a shared commitment to success in academic and non-academic. The results of the implementation of the “BUS PATAS” includes: (a) the school culture superior to being a necessity (classroom becomes more conducive, the creation of a school environment that is safe, clean, green, orderly, religious, and familial, and the growing culture of quality in the neighborhood school), (b) start embedding the active participation and responsibility of the school community (the implementation of development educators who are competent and dedicated and implemented the management of education personnel effectively), (c) the establishment of a shared commitment to success (growth aspirations for high achievement growth and a willingness to change).

Abstract

Being parents who can take care their children are actually can be done by anyone as long as they are patient and willing to study. The wise parents will give significant effect toward the kids’ growth and development. In the future, they will be “someone” that is affected by their parenting. Normally, there are no parents who wish their children to have miserable and unhappy future. Unfortunately, the parents are not rarely found to make mistakes and it affects badly to them. It happened because of the parents’ lack of knowledge and understanding. Parenting plays a significant role for early childhood, when the parents educate their children very well, the parents educate them from the family environment, and parenting emphasizes the big role of family to them and gave the lesson to know themselves, as well as to know the family environment to form the kids’ character firstly. Parenting also helps children to find out their position based on their sex in the environment of family, society, and country. Parenting helps children to know the values or rules to make them follow the rules so that they can be accepted by the surrounding. Parenting also encourages children in search of worldly or hereafter science which is beneficial for their life. Parents also need to be on the watch for their intercommunication with mates or surrounding because there must be either positive or negative impact in it. Parents also need to give sincerely love to their children so that they never feel alone and lonely. Parenting should be given accordingly with the children’s ability to make them not in a force feeling with the parenting. Therefore, parenting has a significant role in educating early childhood. Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of peer review for teaching English sentence writing skill to university students in Central Java, Indonesia. An experimental group was treated by implementing peer review, but a control group was not treated. For collecting the data, both groups were given test: pre test and post test. After analyzing using t-test formula, the result showed that t-value (2,890) was higher than t-table (2,048). Therefore, peer review was effective for teaching English sentence writing skill. Abstract

This study entitled The Utilization of Van DerWijck Castle in Gombong, Kebumen Regency, Central Java as Tourist Attraction and Source of Learning History. The aims of this study are (1) to examine the utilization of Van Der Wijck Castle as tourist attraction, (2) the utilization of Van Der Wijck Castle as source of learning history, (3) the factors supporting and inhibiting the utilization of Van Der Wijck Castle in Gombong as tourist attraction and source of learning history. This study used qualitative approach. Data collection was performed by the following steps: (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) documentation. The main informants were manager and visitors of Van Der Wijck Castle tourist attraction. The analysis technique was Miles and Huberman qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data display/presentation, and drawing conclusion or verification. The result of this study showed that Van Der Wijck Castle in Gombong was a Dutch colonial heritage building located in Sidayu Village, Gombong District, Kebumen Regency. The function of the castle has changed from Ducth Company station into a tourist attraction and source of learning history. Since 2000, Van Der Wijck Castle was used as a tourist attraction. The castle was used as source of learning history for students and society by taking the values that existed in the castle. The strategic location and the presence of adequate facility were supporting factors to Van Der Wijck Castle used as a tourist attraction and source of learning history. The inhibiting factor was the lack of public awareness of the tourism activities. Keywords: Van Der Wijck, historical tourism, source of learning history
