Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the effect of foaming agent concentration and latex dilution in making of dish washer foam that has a low protein content with waste the latex protein as a main ingredient. The best formula of foaming agent (concentration of ammonium oleat and ammonium chlorida) to increase pampatan value is A2 : 0,90 phr and 0,6 phr, A3 : 1,05 phr and 0,8 phr, A4 : 1,2 phr and 1,0 phr, A1 : 0,75 phr and 0,4 phr and A5 : 1,35 phr and 1,2 phr respectively. Latex Recentrifugation adan Dilution decreases protein content of the natural latex. The decreasing protein content in the concentrated latex is 0,88% at 30% dilution (P3), 1,25% at 20% dilution (P2) and 2,19% without dilution (P0) respectively.Keywords: Alergan, foaming, formula, quality, latex, centrifugation AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi bahan pembusa dan pengenceran lateks terhadap kadar protein lateks, kadar karet kering, kadar jumlah padatan lateks pekat, kekerasan, bobot jenis dan pampatan tetap busa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Formula bahan pembusa (A) dengan perbandingan amonium oleat dan amonium klorida menghasilkan nilai pampatan tetap berturut-turut adalah A2 : 0,90 phr dan 0,6 phr, A3 : 1,05 phr dan 0,8 phr, A4 : 1,2 phr dan 1,0 phr, A1 : 0,75 phr dan 0,4 phr dan A5 : 1,35 phr dan 1,2 phr. Sentrifugasi ulang dan pengenceran akan menurunkan kadar protein lateks karet. Penurunan kadar protein yang terbanyak pada lateks pekat yaitu pada pengenceran 30% (P3) sebesar 0,88% dilanjutkan pengenceran 20% (P2)sebesar 0,88%, pengenceran 10% (P1) sebesar 1,25% dan tanpa pengenceran (P0) sebesar 2,19%.Kata Kunci: Alergen, busa, formula, kualitas, lateks, sentrifugasi

Abstract

The research aimed to obtained gambir optimal cosentration as natural antioxidant and self life cookind oil production. Gambir latex thich was extracted from gambir leaf (Uncaria gambir Roxb) was used in the experiment . the experiment was designedas factorial compeletely randomized design with two factors as treatments, and each combination of gamir antioxidant (1%,2%and 3%), and the second factor was long of storage (7 days,24days,21,days,28day,35days, dand 42days). The result showed that the addition of antioxidant gambir, long of storage and its interaction had significant effect on the peroxide value fat tree acid level and moisture content. The treatment of A2 (gambir consentration 2%) with long of storage 42 days (treatment B6) effective more that gambir consentrations 1%and 3% (treatment A1 and A3) with cooking oil of quality characterstics of 1,6 meq/kg for peroxide value, 0,32% for fatfree aced level , and 0,28% mosture content. The self life of cooking oil by gambir antioxidant is 42 days.

Abstract

Chitosan nano particles synthesized by crosslinking reaction between the ionic gelation of chitosan with TPP (tri-polyphosphate) using Tween 80 surfactant. The reaction takes place through continuous stirring with a magnetic stirring at room temperature for 2 hours. Based on the obtained nano size particles PSA ranged between 215.9 and 272.9 nm with a chemical composition containing the elements C, H, O, N, and some minerals were observed by SEM-EDS. Bioactivity test results showed the concentration of 0.01% b/v has a maximum resistance spectrum. Toxicity tests on white mice with LD50 value compound chitosan nano particles contain no toxic poison. Keywords: antibacterial, bioassay, chitosan nanoparticles, ionic gelation, LD50. AbstrakNano partikel kitosan berhasil disintesis dari reaksi ikatan silang secara gelasi ion antara kitosan dengan TPP (tri polifosfat) menggunakan surfaktan Tween 80. Reaksi berlangsung melalui pengadukan kontinu dengan magnetic stirring pada suhu ruang selama 2 jam. Berdasarkan PSA diperoleh ukuran nano partikel berkisar antara 215,9 dan 272,9 nm dengan komposisi kimia mengandung unsur C, H, O, N, dan beberapa mineral yang diamati melalui SEM-EDS. Hasil uji bioaktivitas menunjukkan pada konsentrasi 0,01% b/v memiliki spektrum resistensi maksimum. Uji toksisitas pada mencit putih memberikan nilai LD50 senyawa nano partikel kitosan tidak mengandung racun toksik.  Kata kunci: anti bakteri, uji bioaktivitas, gelasi ion,  LD50, nano partikel kitosan.

Abstract

Limbah industri crumb rubber belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Untuk mendukung penerapan Industri Hijau, perusahaan tersebut harus memanfaatkan kembali limbah untuk produk yang bernilai seperti pupuk organik  dengan penambahan mikroba. Kegiatan penelitian dimulai dari persediaan bahan baku, pembuatan pupuk organik, penambahan mikroba. Percobaan menggunakan  Rancangan Acak Lengkap  Faktorial dengan  variasi  perbandingan  bahan baku pupuk organik  yaitu  limbah lumpur aktif padat : limbah abu  dan limbah sekam padi, dengan perbandingan   (A1)100:0:0 (A2)  90:5:5  (A3) 80:10:10 (A4) 70:15:15 (A5) 60:20:20, dan konsentrasi penambahan mikroba  (EM-4) B1 (1%), dan B2 (2%).  Pengujian pupuk organik   meliputi  visual pupuk, unsur makro, unsur mikro, mikroba fungsional, dan mikroba patogen. Penelitian diperoleh hasil  terbaik  adalah perlakuan  A2B5 dengan nilai unsur hara makro,  bahan organik 24,90%, nitrogen total 0,82%, P2O5 0,42%, K2O 0,39%,   dan unsur mikro, mikroba fungsional dan mikroba kontaminan memenuhi persyaratan mutu  pupuk organik dari sampah organik domestik  nomor SNI 19-7030-2004 dan Permentan nomor nomor 79/permentan/SR/140/10/2011 tanggal 25 Oktober 2011

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kondisi optimal penyimpanan dan masa simpan kompon karet lis kaca kendaraan bermotor berbahan pengisi silika dari batu apung dan tanah liat. Formulasi kompon karet dilakukan dengan memvariasikan bahan pengisi silika dari batu apung dan tanah liat. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 2 (dua) faktor, terdiri dari 3 (tiga) perlakuan suhu (T) yaitu 25 oC, 35 oC dan 45 oC, serta 5 (lima) perlakuan masa penyimpanan (t) yaitu 1, 3, 6, 9, dan 12 hari. Penentuan masa simpan menggunakan metode Accelerated Shelf-Life Testing (ASLT) dengan pendekatan Arrhenius pada parameter uji yang memiliki energi aktivasi (Ea) paling rendah. Parameter uji yang diamati untuk energi aktivasi kompon adalah kekerasan, tegangan putus, dan perpanjangan putus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa energi aktivasi (Ea) kompon yang terendah terdapat pada parameter uji kekerasan, yaitu sebesar 3435,78 kal/mol dengan masa simpan (t) kompon karet 75,26 hari pada suhu (T) 25 oC. Hasil uji kompon yang didapat pada perlakuan ini memenuhi syarat SNI 06-1490-1989 tentang Kompon Lis Karet Kaca Kendaraan Bermotor, yaitu kekerasan 73 Shore A, tegangan putus 161 kg/cm2, dan perpanjangan putus 506%.

Abstract

The research objective is to study the briquette characteristics produced from pressing process with sugarcane molasses and tapioca flour adhesives. Materials used in this study were 20 mesh corn stem, sugarcane molasses adhesive and tapioca flour adhesives. The treatments were consisted of briquettes without adhesive, briquettes with 4% and 7% sugarcane molasses adhesive as well as briquettes with 4% and 7% tapioca flour adhesive respectively using 20 gram of corn stem. The pressing for corn stem into briquettes was conducted by using pressure of 1, 2, 3, 6 and 10 tonf. The tested parameters for briquettes were water content by using gravimetric method, specific gravity by using gravimetry method and calory value by using bomb calorimeter. The results showed that treatment of 20 gram corn stem with 7% tapioca flour adhesive at 10 tonf pressure had water content of 6.245%, specific gravity of 1.31 g/cm3 and calory value of 4.791 calory/g, respectively.Keywords : Corn stem, sugarcane molasses adhesive, tapioca flour adhesive, briquette AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik briket yang dihasilkan dari proses pengempaan dengan perekat tetes tebu dan perekat kanji. Bahan yang digunakan terdiri dari tongkol jagung ukuran 20 mesh, perekat tetes tebu dan perekat kanji. Briket yang dihasilkan merupakan variasi perlakuan tanpa bahan perekat, dengan perekat tetes tebu 4% dan 7% dari 20 gram berat tongkol jagung, dan dengan bahan perekat kanji 4% dan 7% dari 20 gram berat tongkol jagung. Proses pengempaan tongkol jagung menjadi briket dilakukan pada gaya tekan pengepresan dengan variasi gaya tekan 1, 2, 3, 6, dan 10 tonf. Pengujian briket meliputi kadar air dengan metode oven, berat jenis dengan metode gravimetri dan nilai kalor dengan bomb kalorimeter. Hasil uji menunjukkan untuk perlakuan 20 gram tongkol jagung menggunakan perekat kanji 7% pada gaya tekan pengempaan 10 tonf mengandung kadar air 6,245%, berat jenis 1,31 g/cm3 dan nilai kalor 4.791 kal/g.Kata Kunci : Tongkol jagung, tetes tebu, kanji, briket

Abstract

The research aimed to study the ageing resistance of vulcanized dock vendor with rice husk ash filler and coupling agent.  The experimental research used non Factorial Completely Randomized Design and each treatments was replicated three times.  Single factor concentration of ratio of rice husk ash and coupling agent 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MPS) (70 phr: 1 phr, 100 phr: 1 phr, 130 phr: 1 phr, 160 phr: 1 phr, 190 phr: 1 phr and 220 phr : 1 phr). The parameters were hardness, tensile strength, elongation at break and ageing resitance before and after ageing. The results showed that all treatments have a influence on vulcanized dock fendor and meet the quality requirements SNI 06-3568-2006 for treatment concentration of ASP70 tol ASP160 with characteristics hardness  of 70 Shore A, 75 Shore A, 78 Shore A dan 80 Shore A after ageing 68 Shore A, 72 Shore A, 76 Shore A dan 78 Shore A. The tensile strength before (19 N / mm2, 21 N / mm2, 17 N / mm2 and 16 N / mm2), after ageing (17 N / mm2, 20 N / mm2, 15 N / mm2 and 15 N / mm2). ASP70 to ASP220 treatment concentration up to the elongation at break before (350%, 345%, 330%, 220%, 209% and 200%), after ageing (343%, 335%, 325%, 216% and 200%). Tear resistance characteristics before (15.6 kg / cm, 17.2 kg / cm, 17.9 kg / cm, 18.2 kg / cm, 19 kg / cm and 20 kg / cm), after ageing (15 kg / cm, 16.1 kg / cm, 17.5 kg / cm, 17.9 kg / cm, 18.7 kg / cm.

Abstract

Seaweed is one of the strategic commodities in fisheries revitalization program in Indonesia. The problems faced by seaweed producers are the low quality and products diversification of seaweeds due to traditional post-harvest handling and unknown critical factors as quality benchmark of seaweeds products. This study was aimed to determine the condition of the quality of raw materials and end products that have been produced on the market and give recommendations for better seaweed processing technology. The steps taken were the collection of data and information, purchase of raw materials and seaweed based food products, analysis of various seaweed products purchased from the survei areas, process improvement based on the results of analysis, and product analysis as the results of process improvement results. Raw material quality of seaweed of Echeuma cottoni in the market are generally not eligible to be qualified as Dried Seaweed (SNI 2690 2:2009) which has the moisture content above 30%, the value of anhydrous weed below 30%, the level of foreign objects above 5% and microbial contamination was sufficiently high (max 1.0 X102 TPC colonies / gram and E.coli maxKeywords : Eucheuma sp, seaweed sweets, seaweed jam, seaweed sweet cake , seaweed crackers, seaweed cheese stickAbstrakRumput laut merupakan salah satu komoditas strategis dalam program revitalisasi perikanan di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya mutu rumput laut dikarenakan masih tradisionalnya penanganan pascapanen serta tidak diketahuinya kritikal faktor yang dijadikan tolak ukur mutu produk rumput laut. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui kondisi mutu bahan baku dan produk jadinya yang telah diproduksi yang beredar di pasaran, serta memberikan rekomendasi teknologi pengolahan rumput laut yang lebih baik. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah pengumpulan data dan informasi, pembelian bahan baku dan produk pangan berbasis rumput laut, analisis berbagai produk rumput laut yang dibeli dari daerah survei, perbaikan proses berdasarkan hasil analisis, dan analisis produk hasil perbaikan proses. Mutu bahan baku rumput laut jenis Echeuma cottoni di pasaran umumnya belum memenuhi syarat Rumput Laut Kering (SNI 2690 2:2009) yaitu kadar air masih diatas 30%, nilai anhydrous weed dibawah 30%, kadar benda asing di atas 5% dan cemaran mikrobanya cukup tinggi (ALT maks 1,0x102 koloni/gram dan E.coli maksKata kunci : Eucheuma sp, manisan basah rumput laut, selai rumput laut, dodol rumput laut, kerupuk rumput laut, kertas keju rumput laut

Abstract

The research of rubber compounding modification for upper layer of rubberized asphalt paving block as shock absorber using natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) as synthetic rubber, fly ash as filler and also vegetable oil as plasticizer has been conducted. The research design was varying the filler Si-69, fly ash and palm oil. The five formulas A, B, C, D, and E designed by varying the amount of Si-69 (48.5; 50.75; 53.00; 55.25; and 57.50) phr; coal fly ash (4.75, 7.00, 9.25, 11.50 and 13.75) phr; and vegetable oil from palm oil (6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, and 9) phr, while the NR:SBR was 82.50: 17.50 phr for each formula. Based on the testing results, the formula D has the best physic-mechanical properties among others. It has specific gravity 1.78 g/cm3; hardness 81 ShoreA; abrasion resistance 52,85 mm3 ; compression set, 25% defl, 70oC, 22h: 21,40%; tensile strength 195,69 N/ m3; ozone resistance showed no crack.
