Abstract

The company mentions the frequent inaccuracies between coal unloading data on barges with coal availability in coal silos and stockpiles carried out by Coal handling Control Room (CHCR) operators. Moreover, unloading coal on barges by Ship Unloader (SU) operators took a longer time than the specified estimated time. Therefore, this study aims to investigate whether the physical workloads of CHCR and SU operators are heavy and cause fatigue, which eventually causes a number of problems that lead to company losses, or whether the cause of these problems is not in operator's physical workload. This study involved 16 CHCR and SU operators with 3 work shifts. Physical workload measurement is referred on operator's pulse and temperature. Pulse measurement is manually done to both working and resting operators. Meanwhile, body temperature measurement is done before, when, and after working by using digital thermometer. Cardiovascular Load (CVL) approach is used to check pulses, to find out whether the workload is considered as heavy or light, while body temperature is referred to indicators or normal temperature range. The results of pulse measurements were processed and analyzed using the Cardiovascular Load (CVL) approach. Then, body temperature measurement is carried out to the operator’s before work, during work, and after work using a thermometer. The results show that the physical workload of CHCR and SU operators are classified as light and do not potentially lead them to work fatigue. In other words, the source of company's problems is not from physical workloads of CHCR and SU operator but likely from other aspects. Keywords: body temperature, cardiovascular load, operator, physical workload, pulse rate

Abstract

The copper price in copper mining companies is an essential aspect in terms of profit, revenue, production targets, and hedging. This research aims to determine an alternative of copper price modeling and its causality relationship to Freeport McMoRan (FCX) stock price. The methods utilized in this research were Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Granger Causality Test. Based on this research result, all modeling methods equally show excellent performance for modeling copper price. Another finding from this research is that the copper price positively affects the FCX stock price. Therefore, it can be concluded that the copper commodity price influences the value of a copper mining company. The results of this research can be utilized as a reference for company analysts as a part to estimate profit probability, estimate revenue, estimate production targets, and hedging strategies. Abstract

The Big Gossan Mill Facility (BGMF) unit has a vital function to deliver tailing supporting Big Gossan underground mining. Plant maintenance strategies have been implemented to support its availability. This study aims to study integration of machine learning model into the plant maintenance and to formulate development of Machine Learning System in BGMF unit. The maintenance planning standards is used to integrate Machine Learning model through interview. The Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA) is applied to develop machine learning system. It uses interview method to formulate business viewpoint and usage viewpoint and observation to elaborate functional viewpoint and implementation viewpoint. The study results integration of machine learning model is done by state it as PD-200 Propelling Liquid alarm. It then should be followed up by the planning crew. The machine learning system development starts with formulation of Key Objectives and Fundamental Capabilities on the business viewpoint. The usage viewpoint defines two scenarios on machine learning system. The functional viewpoint elaborates system functionality. The implementation viewpoint designed network topology. It then emphasizes on key system characteristics. This research concludes that model integration into plant maintenance can minimize PD-200’s downtime and it’s system design can be done by IIRA. Keywords: IIRA, machine learning, maintenance improvement, predictive maintenance, predictive model

Abstract

The millennial generation that dominates the workforce today has dynamic characteristics and high turnover intention. Job design that is autonomous and passion is considered to make millennial more sustainable in one company. This study was conducted to examine the antecedent effect of the intention to stay variable, namely task characteristics autonomy, passion, and job satisfaction with the intention to stay with 100 millennial remote workers in Jakarta as respondents. Data obtained from questionnaires distributed via g-form with purposive sampling method and convenience sampling technique. Data processing using SMART PLS 3.0 software with Bootstrapping analysis method. The results of this study prove that job satisfaction can increase intention to stay and is able to mediate the effect of passion and task characteristics autonomy on intention to stay. The results also prove that passion can significantly increase job satisfaction and intention to stay. Likewise, job characteristic autonomy has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Passion, job characteristic autonomy, job satisfaction are antecedents of variables that determine the intention to stay for millennial workers with remote work. Keywords: intention to stay, job satisfaction, task characteristic autonomy, passion, remote workers

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the use of fintech by conducting a study of the behavior of MSME actors, both that focus on promotion and focus on prevention of risk mitigation in the use of fintech. Data collected using a questionnaire with respondents who use MSME using fintech (payment). This study analyzes the data using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) by going through two stages of data analysis, namely evaluating the measurement model and testing the hypotheses that are built. The results showed that traits that focused on promotion would always try to choose risk while traits that focused on prevention would try to avoid risks. The risk mitigation of fintech carried out by users will increase according to the willingness of MSME actors to use fintech. So in other words, the higher the risk, the individual character that focuses on promotion and focuses on prevention will affect the intention to use fintech.
