Abstract

Pemuda road corridor is the main corridor in Klaten Regency which has function as Central Business District (CBD). The growth of an area led to the need for parking space also increased. The problem is that many parked carelessly vehicles that cause roadblocks and reduce the aesthetics of the city. Needs a parking area planning in accordance with the characteristics of the people there. The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristic and preferences of users in choosing of parking location on Pemuda road corridor Klaten Regency. Data collection in this study used primary data obtained from the questionnaire. The respondent's target in this research is all the people who park their vehicles in Pemuda road corridor, which is divided into four zones of location and three time zones; morning, noon and afternoon. The result is characteristics of the user in the morning is dominated by the purpose of visit is to work with a long time parking duration (> 4 hours), then in the noon is dominated by the purpose of visit is shopping with medium parking duration (1-2 hours), and shopping and recreation purposes with medium duration parking (1-2 hours) in the afternoon. Meanwhile the preference analysis puts the security variable to be the most important in choosing of parking location.

Abstract

The child-friendly city is a city that gives attention to and recognizes the existence of children's rights, including the provision of children's play facilities. Public facilities that can reflect recognition of children's rights are parks. The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristic of Menteri Soepeno park as a child-friendly park in Semarang city. This park is expected to be a reference for the development of child-friendly parks in realizing a child-friendly city. The method used in this research is quantitative with scoring analysis. The result showed that Menteri Soepeno park was not child-friendly, some improvements were needed so this park could be one of facility that supports the realization of a child-friendly city in Semarang.

Abstract

Implementation of the program from Dinas Kebersihan dan Pertamanan Semarang City related to increase of active park as green open space and family recreation facility that is the development of Taman Pandanaran. The location of the park which was inaugurated early in 2015 was strategic so that became the center of connector icon of Semarang City that is Simpang Lima, Taman Menteri Supeno, Tugu Muda, and GOR Tri Lomba Juang. Built as active garden concept, visitors can take advantage of the park for a variety activites such as social, recreational, and sports. The park that cost 1.866 billion rupiah is one of the public space of Semarang City as the capital of Central Java, then it is appropriate to give satisfaction to the park’s visitors. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of Taman Pandanaran based on visitor opinion. The research method used is descriptive quantitative analysis by using questionnaire as information digging tool. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of Taman Pandanaran based on visitor opinion is quite effective with the score of 152 from the total score of 225. Each variable contribute different scores ranging from the highest to the lowest score. The most effective variable is that it can be used throughout the community, while the comfortable environment is the lowest rated variable. It describes the existing condition in the environment of Taman Pandanaran which gives less comfort to the park visitors.

Abstract

The rapid growth of billboards that are used as a medium of communication and marketing of products and services, one of which is caused by increasing community needs and development of technology & information. The rapid growth must be responded to well by the Semarang City Government so that strategic points for regional income can be maximized while maximizing spatial planning efforts in Semarang City. Based on this, the research itself aims to formulate a billboard structuring policy in the city of Semarang by using a qualitative descriptive method. The formulation efforts were carried out through several analysis points which resulted in each building function and land use affecting the provisions relating to billboards and the development of advertisement plots on private land to be controlled because they were related to environmental aesthetics, road benefits and road space could also be used for advertising and information media provided that they get permission from the road organizer according to their authority.

Abstract

Mine activity can give adverse environmental impacts significantly. Land conversion as mine land demanding reclamation activities on demanding reclamation activities. Reclamation is an activity that is required for mining entrepreneurs. PT Bukit Asam us one of the largest mining company in South Sumatera, district Muara Enim committed to undertake reclamation activities which will be implemented in urban forest development H.Kalamudin Djinab, SH, MH on post land mining. The land area that will be built into the urban forest of 50 hectares consisting some zoning.The design method is carried out from field survey activities, and observation to obtain the required data as well as in compiling secondary and primary data. The analyzes in preparing zoning plan of urban forest consist of space requirement analysis, activity analysis, user characteristic analysis, space organization analysis, site analysis and zoning area. So that zoning of urban forest area will be developed into several different functions in each area

Abstract

The area directly adjacent to the waters is called the waterfront area. Waterfront area has many dvantages compared to other areas. Semarang city is one of the cities that have many spaces of the city whose growth starts from the development of the river corridor area, Semarang City should be able to take advantage of the potential becomes a distinct advantage. The principle of waterfront design is the basics of the arrangement of the city or region that includes various aspects of considerations and components of arrangement to achieve a good urban design. Micro area is one of the areas traversed by the East Canal River flood of Manggis River and included into the sub-district of Peterongan with an area of 10.5 hectares. The function of the micro area is as a residential and trade & services area. However, trading activities that located in designated areas dominated by street vendors who trade on the banks of rivers tend to be wild and unorganized, while the residential areas on the banks of the river can be said to be slum area. Therefore, by using the concept of "Eco Green Living" which is derived from the Sustainable Development concept and Ecologycal Riverfront concept with indicators of Economics, Green and Living is expected to overcome the existing problems in the existing region

Abstract

The existence of Undip and Unika in Semarang become the main attraction for students who are outside Semarang. It can increase the activity around Undip and Unika areas. Nevertheless, there are some new things happening around the campus area, in September 2017, there were reports of loss of 34 motorcycles, 133 helmets and 1 rearview mirror in Undip. Meanwhile, Unika has a case of murder that killed a man outside the exit gate of Unika in 2014. Therefore to minimize the crime case it is necessary to "Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED)" in campus area, can improve students' sense of security on the two campuses. In this research, to achieve the result of design quality, the method of analysis used is descriptive quantitative method. Analytical technique used is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and scoring using categorical given in the form of descriptive quantitative. Results of research that determine in Undip are in the sufficient category with 2,079 and the Unika category is in good category with a score of 2,378. These differences can be influenced by factors such as land area, contour, building density, area, number of students, and number of activities, which can cause facilities and policies to reduce crime and improve security at Undip and Unika.

Abstract

The lack of the existence of green open spaces can lead to a decrease in the quality of the urban environment, such as high air pollution, flooding, and an increase in social crises where people have no place to interact. Although green open spaces have a variety of benefits, including social, ecological and aesthetic benefits, these benefits have not been fully felt by the community. Based on this, a policy that can be formulated by the Regional Government is needed to place the problem of providing green open space as one of the important issues in sustainable development programs. This study aims to map the public green open space of road trees and existing road islands and establish plans for the construction of road tree RTH and island roads in Boyolali Regency in a period of 20 years using a qualitative descriptive method. Planning for the construction of RTH for pedestrian way and road divider is carried out by analyzing the minimum area requirements based on the area of the urban area, the projected population in urban areas in 2036, the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment, and the needs of certain functions. As a result, the size of the road component and the median of the road were set at ± 2.97 hectares (0.0125%) of the total urban area of Boyolali Regency, while for the pedestrian way it is ± 1.66 hectares (0.0069%) of the area urban Boyolali Regency. The results of these calculations are to provide direction for the future green open space for road and road divider in Boyolali.

Abstract

City as a livable space should meet a good standards especially in terms of urban design and availability of facilities. Urbanization that continues to increase each year become an urge to provide housing equipped with complete infrastructure. Furthermore, high activity in urban centres causing accessibility, flood, air polution, and high noise that can affect the surrounding housing. Therefore, the availability of complete infrastructure is required  along with availability of recreation and open space. In addition, Semarang as a city that have a low probability for flood will become a ideal home to live. In this case, analysis conducted aimed to perform urban design by using descriptive analysis method that is, activity analysis and space needs, site analysis, infrastructure analysis, design element analysis, aesthetics analysis. Data that need to be considered is about the type of settlement facilities and supporting relevant activities, As well as data on public perception of public space needs. The concept design plan to be implemented is "Ecological Recreation Riverfront Settlement", Explains about an area near BKT that considers ecological and economic aspects. In this designing activities, adapted to the needs of the community related to the function of occupancy, ecology, aesthetics, health, recreation and economy of a city.

Abstract

Development of public transportation in the main steps to unravel traffic congestion in Surakarta City. Various alternative public transports are provided which are directly integrated, such as Batik Solo Trans (BST), city transportation, Werkudara-level buses, and railbus. Directly proportional to the number of public transportation equipment will have a major impact on the breakdown of traffic congestion that has occurred. There have been many people in Surakarta City who utilize integrated and sustainable public public transportation.
