<![CDATA[This article discusses Ahmadiyah Qodiyan, an Islamic sect established at the end of 19h century in India, in the view of Sayyid Husein Shahabs Thoughts. He defeated Mirza Ghulam Ahmads thoughts on the debate about the seal of the prophet hood that Muhammad is the true seal of the ever revealed prophets. This discourse is to response to the Qrannically widespread ideas bringing about the decrease of the faith of the believers in all aspects of their very life. This discouse is still very actual today, as now, there happens some movements to forbid Ahmadiyah from its development in Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses variations of models or approaches that have been used by orientalists in studying the relationships between Islam and politics in Indonesia. The writer has used socio-historical approach in order to categorize the models or approaches. Generalization that has been employed by orientalists on Islam and politics in Indonesia, both in its relation to the state and other groups, can be simplified into deconfessionalization, domestication, schismatic and variant, trichotomy, and cultural Islam. It can be concluded, from this study, that analysis that has been used by orientalists has not been always negative. Therefore, their works will always be relevant and useful as references in studying relations between Islam and politics in lndonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[This research qualitatively describes the existence of Jamaah LDII (The Congregation of The Propagation of Islam in Indones ia) and their interctction patterns, int ernally and externally. For the purpose of this research, the data is taken through depth interviery participant observation and documentation. From the research, it is found that in their social interaction, there are some social interaction patterns they undergo such as cooperation, competition, and even conflict. These patterns occur internally and internally with the surrounding neighbors. Positive social interaction patterns occur internally and negative one occurs to the neighbors, to people out side their group. It is suggested and recommended that both parties organize intent discussion to bridge their gaps for a peace and co-existence among them.]]>

<![CDATA[This article describes syair (poetry) of H. Syukur and at his time, his poetry was used as a method to teach the sludents. The writer elaborates when this poetry is started to use, who the students are, and when it is terminated. The writer employs life historical and genealogical approach to lhis explanation. H. Syukurâs poetry consists of nuo couplets of the same rhytme in each line ending. Syaia as well as saying, has been known by Jambi s people for a long time and used as a media to teach students. It contains religious teachings, especially morality. The writer also recommends that the people in Jambi preserve his poetry for the sake of educating people in line with the recent development.]]>

<![CDATA[Islam is now facing some negative image projections from many parties especially if they view Islam from its historical dimension. This article highlights these projections and providing Moslems of how they should behave responding to these charges objectively through self-critic and science-critic. By doing these, we, Moslems, can put these projections infair proportion. These problems are processed employing realism metaphysic approach together with its 3 analytical models namely historical analysis, archeological analysis of thoughts, and deconstructive analysis. The writer uncovers that understanding religion should not merely be based on its textual bases but should also be integrated with many other approctches and dimensions for a holistic understanding of Islam.]]>

<![CDATA[The word ikhlas, which is sometimes interpreted mystically, has the meaning as an attitude towards something without any interest. This study is to discuss the exact concept of ikhlas in the holy Koran. Ikhlas is the process of purification of aqidah (ftrth), ibadah (religious service) and muamalah (religious social interaction) bssed on the norms which has been determined by Allah and his Prophet. The analysis of Koranic themes and verses should be put according to the conclition of human kind objectively and still in the context of the given verses.]]>

<![CDATA[In the discourse of Islamic political thoughts, both of pre and modern era, the term "syura" (deliberation) is one of the great issues in the Muslim scholars especially for Islamic political thinkers. One of the great Muslim thinkers in this modern era who countributes significantly in this field is Sayyid Muhammad Rasyid Ridha. His political thoughts are available in his Magna Opus "Khilafat aw al-Imamat al-Uzma". His Ideas are considered brilliant and still in line with the contemporary political discourse. Ridha is in the opinion that the "syura" shoul become the foundations in the "Islamic governement syistem".]]>

<![CDATA[This research is to find out the influence of parents educational pattern and pesantren milieu for santris ethos. To analyze data is used univaried and bivaried method. Santris ethos from the two pesantren is relatively low. The writer showed that there is no signfficant relationship between parentâs educational pattern and santris ethos. Although there rs the positive relationship, but it is low. The writer explained that santris ethos based on pesantren milieu. Modern pesantren milieu that applies discipline and sanction rigidly is not giving positive impact. It is important for them to practical behavior before graduated from pesantren.]]>

<![CDATA[This research highlights three disabled (blind) people in the term of their ways in dealing with their shortcoming in earning their livelihood and the way they interact with their surrounding, socio-economically and socio-religiously. It is found that they have the ability to meet they daily needs by "massaging people". Eventhough they have shortcomings, in fact, they have the ability to adapt to their surroundings externally and with their fellow masseurs internally. They interact economically, socially as well as, religiously in line with the social interaction patterns such as cooperation, conflict, competition or accommodation.]]>
