Conciencia is a scientific journal that provides readers sources scientific articles. We invite authors to share unpublished, high-quality research manuscripts produced mainly from quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methodologies that are related to Islamic education to be published in this journal. Everyone is free to share problems which include, but are not limited to, practices, policies, and research in Islamic education from early childhood education to higher education that cover the fields of teaching, learning, curriculum development, education policy, policy in language education, bilingual education, multicultural education, art education, teacher education, educational technology, educational development, educational psychology, and international education in Indonesia and other parts of the world. Conciencia will not accept research articles or texts which has been sent for publication or in the process of reviewin other journals. Conciencia does not publish book reviews, program evaluations or research articles describing certain programs, courses, or personal experiences.

This study aims to determine the appreciation given by students to the implementation of technology-based PAI lectures, especially during the pandemic. The implementation of PAI lectures, especially at this time, cannot be separated from the utilisation of technological advances. Learning activities like this, of course, cause a lot of problems, both for educators and students. It does not rule out the possibility of complaints arising from students regarding the learning process like this. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method, by providing a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale used for data collection. The results of this study show that the appreciation given by students to the implementation of technology-based PAI lectures is diverse; including very good, good, quite good, and less good. The response was very good for the material component of PAI lectures and the ability/competence of lecturers in delivering the material. As for the other eight components, most students stated that it was good, although there were also those who stated that it was quite good with a small number, and there was even one student who stated that it was not good for the component of how to overcome problems that arise in PAI lectures.

This study aimed to determine the Islamic value of tolerance and diversity in Civic Education at Nurul Fikri Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Sipirok. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Then, to ensure the validity of the data, it was used through data triangulation. From the results of the study, it was found that the material of tolerance and ethnic diversity is fostered and instilled starting from the elementary school level because then students from an early age can coexist in the life of the nation and state. In addition, the implementation of Civic Education with the integration of Islamic values, such as the relationship between tolerance and Islamic values and prophet stories that tell stories of tolerance, so it can be concluded that the attitude of tolerance and diversity applied at Nurul Fikri Integrated Islamic Elementary School aims to create a school atmosphere that respects each student and does not hesitate to be open both between students and students with teachers and also help each other, help, and cooperate in various activities carried out daily to create a peaceful and prosperous school atmosphere.

Being friendly or communicative is a behavior that is done to show a sense of pleasure in talking, getting along, and cooperating with others. One of the methods that can be applied at school to support communicative character is the culture of smiling,greeting,saluting, politeness, and manners, an Eastern culture that must remain attached to the Indonesian nation. This study aimed to determine the program's implementation to strengthen student character education through 5S activities at100703 Batang Toru Elementary School. This research method uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews, which are then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study show that 100703 Batang Toru Elementary Schoolimplements the 5S program through a self-development program that includes routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary activities, and conditioning implemented in subjects and extracurricular activities. This 5S program has been implemented since 2012. The results of this study also show that the benefits of the 5S implementation have shown positive results in creating students' communicative character in the school environment.

This study aims to explain the pattern of character education during the covid-19 pandemic and see the learn from home policy on weakening the character of elementary school students in Palembang City. The outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic has forced schools to change the tradition and model of implementing education. Basic education institutions must adapt quickly to the covid-19 emergency. The learn from home (LFH) policy has formed a new habit where teachers must use a full online learning system. The implementation of online learning has had an impact on weakening student character. This phenomenological qualitative research succeeded in finding the fact that the character education curriculum development model in elementary schools during the covid-19 pandemic tends to be unclear. The obstacles experienced by teachers in educating character during the Covid-19 pandemic include the absence of school management support in the form of support for learning tools and the weak understanding of teachers and internet-based learning models. The weakening of character in elementary school students is quite serious as a result of the LFH learning system in the form of the emergence of bad attitudes such as annoyance, sadness, anger, low self-esteem, lack of enthusiasm, lack of discipline as a result of the ineffectiveness of the online learning system.

Teacher competence is one of the essential aspects of achieving educational goals and targets. The competence of teachers is also very influential in the learning process. The problem that often arises is that not all teachers have competencies by the standards set. This study aims to analyze the performance role of madrasah supervisors in improving the competence of Madrasah teachers and their obstacles. Qualitative research with a descriptive approach is the method used in this research. The informants of this study amounted to 12 people who were representatives of teachers, principals and madrasah supervisors in the Bringin sub-district, Semarang district, Central Java. Data collection used interview techniques and documentation with instruments in the form of structured interview guides and documentation checklist guides. Data analysis techniques used three steps: data reduction, presentation, and verification. The study results concluded that a good supervisor's role can affect a teacher's performance. The obstacles faced in supervision are the madrasah teachers experiencing a decline in performance due to age factors approaching retirement.

The purpose of this study was to determine the Learning Transformation of Multimedia-Based Character Education in the Era of Society 5.0 and what the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of Character Education Learning Transformation in the Era of Society 5.0 at Ar-Rahman Islamic Boarding School Palembang, This research includes using qualitative research methods. Data was obtained using interviews and observations. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and leveraging. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of multimedia-based character education learning transformation in the era of Society 5.0 takes place through the stages of habituation of students to behave well in the teaching and learning process using multimedia, practicing teacher advice, modeling good behavior exemplified by the teacher, and obeying the rules of the teacher in learning using multimedia. Supporting factors for implementing multimedia-based character education learning transformation in the era of Society 5.0 are school support, teacher support, students' willingness to learn using multimedia, and the existence of multimedia technology that students are familiar with. The inhibiting factors are the existence of bad people who deliberately damage the morals of the younger generation through bad applications, a less supportive environment, and the development of technology and communication that is growing rapidly.

The role of teachers in schools is expected, especially in evaluating student learning; teachers must pay attention to the quality of the items made. This study aims to determine the instrument's validity or the quality of the item's suitability with the model known as Item FIT (item suitability) on the End of Semester Assessment of Islamic Religious Education. The sample in this study was 216 respondents, using cluster random sampling. The results obtained; 1) the end-of-semester test given is categorized as easy when viewed from the level of student ability above the level of difficulty of the question; 2) the level of student ability is moderate with logit (0) producing very high information. Then, it will produce low information at the low or high ability level. It means that the PAI test produces maximum information when given to individuals with moderate ability. 3) Item fit criteria from 216 students, there are 93% that fit the model (fit model), and these students are said to fit the model because they have met at least two existing criteria; 4) The results of the analysis of the summary table above, 40 items analyzed there are 33 items (83%) that fit the model (fit model). 5) Reliability for Pearson reliability of 0.83 and item reliability of 0.97, it can be concluded that the consistency of student answers is good and the quality of the items in the PAI test is excellent reliability; 6) Gender bias analysis can be seen that 2 of the 40 items are DIF or need to be corrected because they harm certain gender groups.

This study uses quantitative research with a quasi-experiment. It aims to determine the effect of using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on students' creative thinking skills. The design used was a post-test-only control group design. This research was conducted in class IV UPT SPF SD Inpres Tamamaung III Makassar City, Even Semester, 2022/2023 Academic Year. The population in this study were all students of SD Inpres Tamamaung III Makassar City. The sampling technique in this study used the Simple Random Sampling technique. The sample in this study in the experimental class was Class IVA, which amounted to 25 students, and the control class was class IVB, which amounted to 25 students. The research instruments were observation sheets, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. 1) The Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) approach affects the creative thinking ability of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres Tamamaung III Makassar City.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model using Video Scribe on communication skills and motivation to learn social studies of fifth grade students of SD Inpres Tappanjeng Bantaeng Regency. This type of research is quantitative using an experimental approach. The research design used was Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were 36 students. The samples in this study were class VA with 18 students as the experimental class and class VB with 18 students as the control class. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. The instruments used were observation sheets and questionnaires. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive data analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The hypothesis tests used were Anova and Manova. The results obtained are the significance value of communication skills and motivation to learn social studies students smaller than 0.05 which means H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, namely there is an effect of Think Pair Share learning model using Video Write Communication Skills and Motivation to Learn Social Studies Students Grade V Elementary School.

This study aims to describe the types of facilities and infrastructure contained in the Integrated Islamic High School Raudhatul Ulum Sakatiga, as well as the management of school facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of learning at school. This type of research is Descriptive Qualitative research where this research uses books, journals and several interviews with sources as research materials. The findings of this study are that there are still facilities and infrastructure at Raudhatul Ulum Integrated Islamic High School that are not yet adequate as described, school facilities that are still often hampered are the availability of stationery in the classroom in the office, management of cleaning tools in the classroom and in the office. but the school as much as possible procures facilities and infrastructure needed by students and teachers and repairs infrastructure that requires repair in order to take place effective and efficient learning.
