Abstract

The users of electric motorcycle in Indonesia are currently still limited. This is due to three main things, namely the limited amount of energy charging infrastructure, the lack of socialization regarding the knowledge of technical aspects of electric motorcycle and the financing aspects of electric motorcycle ownership. This research develops a conceptual design business model canvas of Mobile Battery Swap Charging Stations (MBSCS) for electric motorcycles which aim to find solutions to the three problems above. The development of the MBSCS model is an alternative to increase the number of electric charging infrastructure quickly, because the advantages of MBSCS include having a higher level of flexibility and simpler installation than Fixed Charging Stations. This research combines the need of increasing infrastructure and improving socialization to the community regarding the advantages of using electric motorcycle through marketing communication media. Increasing the understanding of technical aspects of electric motorcycle is expected to increase people's motivation to adopt electric motorcycle. This research uses secondary data to explore MBSCS business canvas model (BMC), MBSCS ecosystem, and MBSCS prototype design. The analysis illustrates the MBSCS ecosystem that align with the motorcycle users in Indonesia.  The existence of MBSCS is expected to significantly increase the buying interest, adoption, and diffusion of electric motors more broadly.

Abstract

The batik industry is constantly increasing its production. During production, a curing machine is used to dry the batik after the printing/screening process. The main problem with conventional machines is their inability to produce maximum heat. Currently, they are used in most industries and generate uneven heat, with LPG gas as the main fuel. Therefore, this study aims to develop an electric curing machine as an alternative to overcome the challenges of the conventional type It was carried out using a sample of the experimental test site selected through a purposive sampling method, namely the Aluna Batik industry in Masaran, Sragen. The data were collected by observing the outcomes of mechanical engineering and analyzed using descriptive methods. The results showed that conventional curing provides an advantage in the speed of heat supply, while electric curing stabilizes heat requirements. This showed that the electric machine is more profitable for large and fast quantities production, while the conventional is ideal for daily production.

Abstract

Data from the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Ketenagakerjaan Indonesia from 2019 to 2021 shows that the number of work accident victims who claimed Work Accident Insurance (Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja / JKK) continues to increase. The high number of work accidents is mostly caused by unsafe behavior at work sites, one of which is in terms of compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). One tool that is considered important as a step in reducing work accidents is an identification system for compliance of personal protective safety equipment use that can detect PPE used by visitors or workers. This study develops an automatic identification system that is built using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to identify the use of PPE in the manufacturing technology laboratory. The CNN models used are the 4th and 5th versions of You Only Look Once (YOLO) which are then compared based on two methods: train from scratch and transfer learning. The dataset used for building the detection system has 11,579 images consisting of six classes of PPE objects. Overall performance of the proposed models shows very good results. Moreover, the comparison result among the three models shows that YOLOv5 transfer learning has the best performance with the best precision (94.2 %), recall (91.8 %), and mAP (88.6%).

Abstract

Household dependency on Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) gas increased Indonesian LPG imports. Therefore, the government encourages the conversion of LPG to induction stoves. However, induction stove users are less than LPG users. LPG stoves, electric stoves, and induction have their advantages and disadvantages. Consumers have different behaviours/responses to each change because each consumer has a diverse/heterogeneous character. This study analyzes the factors influencing consumer intentions to adopt an induction stove. The method used in determining factor analysis is the Structure Equation Model (SEM). The SEM method can model a causal relationship with a complex problem and determine the percentage of influence. The analysis found that the intention to adopt an induction stove was significantly influenced by subjective norm (SN), perceived behaviour control (PBC), and attitude toward behaviour (ATT). PBC is affected considerably by Speed, Maintenance, Cost, and Product Safety. ATT is significantly affected by Speed, Cost, Maintenance, and Security. Alternative penetration policy can be carried out on product heating speed, cost, and product maintenance, which are the variables that most significantly influence the adoption of induction stoves.

Abstract

Blood is a very important element for humans. Currently, The Blood Transfusion Unit of The Indonesian Red Cross in City “X” determines the amount and type of blood to be processed based on stock availability. This method tends to be subjective so that the possibility of error in production decision is fairly high. This research intends to manage that the blood processing process and allocation can be carried out optimally and on target. The research objectives are to minimize the number of blood shortages, expired blood, and the total costs incurred, by applying a robust optimization method that considers the uncertainty of blood demand and the disturbances in the blood production process. Pass data of demands will be used for forecasting demand in the planning period. The forecast results can be adjusted to current conditions using the adjustment ratios. The robust optimization method can produce decisions that tend to be stable even when there are changes in blood demand. The results obtained in this study were 24% decrease in the number of shortages of blood stock, 88% decrease in the amount of expired blood, and 96% decrease in the overproduction cost.

Abstract

Product returns are one of the obstacles faced by two-wheeled motor vehicle industry companies in Indonesia, where the company's head office is based in Japan. The obstacle faced is the excess cost of shipping product claims compared to the planned cost budget. These products are replacement parts for CBU (completely built-up) units for two-wheeled motor vehicles exported to Japan. This case will be solved using reverse logistics, where the initial analysis is carried out by finding the value of the bullwhip effect on the company's orders and requests. The next stage is forecasting for the next period using the ARIMA method using Rstudio. The results showed the occurrence of a bullwhip effect, and then the best result was the ARIMA model (0,1,3) (2,1,0). The value of the bullwhip effect managed to decrease by applying the forecasting model. Then optimizing the shipping cost of claim products processed by LINGO results in a 5% reduction in shipping costs from the budget.
