Abstract

This article attempts to explore and review methods and approaches in the Supplier selection process. Review of articles related to the approach in supplier selection that includes identification, evaluation and contract activities with suppliers is reviewed based on the quantitative and qualitative models conducted in this article. In this article, a discussion of supplier selection methods previously investigated by researchers is done through literature review published in several reputable journal database. 86 journal articles successfully collected and reviewed related methods and approaches used by researchers in memeilih supplier. From the results of this study can be concluded that the method of supplier selection through qualitative and quantitative approach is then subdivided into 4 categories with 18 methods discussed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model persediaan yang mempertimbangkan waktu kadaluarsa bahan dan faktor incremental discount untuk mendapatkan biaya total (total cost) persediaan yang minimum. Model persediaan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Single Item digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan model. Algoritma pencarian solusi model dibuat untuk mendapatkan solusi dari model. Selain itu pada bagian akhir diberikan studi kasus implementasi model di PT. XYZ.

Abstract

PT GMF Aeroasia Tbk. is the largest MRO company in Indonesia. This company has 67 plants worldwide. With the many plants that must be serviced, the complex process of repairing aircraft with spare parts that exceeds 15,000 types. Part distribution is a very big challenge and must be faced by companies where part distribution is done with multi-stage warehouses. At present the main warehouse has problems with the inefficiency of the min-max distribution system at each plant where the system aims to bond the parts that have the greatest frequency of demand to the sub-warehouse at the plant. This study discusses the improvement of Min-Max distribution with ABC Analysis NG-Model Multiple Criteria which aims to improve the efficiency of the list part number with the frequency of order transfer requests and the most optimal performance at 9 internal plants with the largest part demand activity. The proposed method is known to be able to increase min-max accommodation including, Transfer Order frequency from 23% to 40.80% and weekly delivery performance from 22% to 62.69%. In addition, this method can also reduce the amount of part number on Min-max with the results of Transfer Order accommodation and increased performance from the methods currently used.

Abstract

Wheat flour consumption in Indonesia continues to increase, so the government must import wheat on a large scale. One of the ways to reduce wheat consumption is by using substitutes. Mocaf (modified cassava flour) is a kind of flour that derived from cassava plants (Manihot esculenta). This flour can be used as a substitute for wheat flour due to its similar characteristics. Even though it has high economic potential, mocaf has only been marketed locally. One of the reason is the lack of quality packaging. The purpose of this study is to identify consumer preferences for mocaf packaging so that they can market the product not only locally but also nationally. In this study, AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method with four alternatives (plastic stand up pouch combination, Aluminium foil stand up pouch combination, screen printing plastic pouch, and paper pouch combination) and three criteria (price, model, and durability) is used to determine consumer preferences for mocaf packaging. This research obtained the conclusion that the highest weight for criterion and alternative are price and the screen printing plastic pouch.

Abstract

Pemilihan dan pengoptimalan suatu metode yang lebih baik untuk meningkatkan mutu suatu produk atau jasa yang dihasilkan sangat diperlukan oleh perusahaan dewasa ini. Dalam permasalahan ini yang penting untuk diperhatikan oleh suatu perusahaan adalah kesesuaian suatu produk atau jasa yang dihasilkan dengan keinginan dan kepuasan konsumen sehingga dapat berkelanjutan menjadi pelanggan. Salah satu metode untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dan keinginan pelangan adalah Quality Function Deployment. Metode ini digunakan oleh industri batik di Nambangan Lor Kotamadya Madiun untuk menentukan technical respon yang harus dilakukan.

Abstract

The techniques and the principles of work system can improve efficiency and work productivity. Work system consists of several work elements. They are man, material, environment, method, and equipment. The elements is interconnected each others. The elements was influent efficiency and work productivity. Efficiency is important in the work system. The purposes of the research is design of work facilitiess, so that can improve work productivity. Inefficiency of work motion and work facility can influent work productivity. Work posture can analyzed RULA method. The score of work postures were 5,6, and 7. The high scores have indicate that the facilities must be investigated and must be changed. The workers need to work facility to prevent musculoskeletal injury.

Abstract

Customer loyalty is important for both product and service industries. A loyal customer keeps using the company’s product and services. For a shipping service company, retaining existing customers in order to remain faithful will certainly be very crucial. This study was to determine relationship between variables affecting customer loyalty at PT. Pos Indonesia-Banda Aceh, a shipping service industry. The research used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and with samples of 153 questionnaires obtained through a non-probability sampling technique. By using AMOS software, it can be concluded that the perceived quality does affect customer satisfaction, perceived value has influence on the customer satisfaction, the customer satisfaction is influential to trust and the trust itself has positive influence on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Agar pelayanan yang dilakukan di bagian administrasi mahasiswa Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN SUSKA Riau dapat memenuhi keinginan mahasiswa maka dilakukan perbaikan kualitas yang menitikberatkan pada pemenuhan keinginan mahasiswa. Perbaikan kualitas menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment dapat menerjemahkan keinginan mahasiswa ke dalam tindkan perbaikan kualitas dari bagian administrasi fakultas. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa tindakan sebagai usulan perbaikan kualitas pelayanan yaitu membuat SOP pengurusan administrasi dan mensosialisasikannya, menentukan waktu tiap bentuk pengurusan administrasi, melakukan perencanaan kebutuhan administrasi mahasiswa dan perpustakaan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi, pegawai administrasi sebaiknya menguasai keahlian administrasi, pegawai administrasi memperlihatkan sikap dan kepribadian yang baik, dan dilakukan pengontrolan terhadap pelayanan administrasi.

Abstract

The strategy will determine the competitive advantage of the organization, including the college. The right strategy in the admission of new students needs to be formulated. Faculty of Engineering Universitas Merdeka Malang need to formulate strategy in acceptance of new student. The data used is taken in 2015. The data collected is then analyzed using Value Chain analysis. Five attributes of competitive advantage are majors, physical facilities, tuition fees, location, and promotion. The strategy is consolidation that is defensive, avoiding market loss by strengthening the loyalist network, horizontal integration with more effort to expand the market that has not been absorbed maximally, to penetrate the market and develop the department. The appropriate strategy developed in increasing the competitive advantage of Unmer Faculty of Engineering Malang is a focus strategy. This focus strategy is directed to differentiation, where the Faculty of Engineering seeks to achieve differentiation within its target segment.

Abstract

Di UPT – PSTKP (Unit Pelaksana Teknis – Pengembangan Seni dan Teknologi Keramik dan Porselin) Bali hampir setiap ruangan dilengkapi sebuah komputer, kecuali dalam ruangan rapat, ruangan laboratorium, dan ruangan produksi. Para operator komputer tersebut biasanya melaksanakan tugas sehari-harinya di depan komputer tidak lebih dari dua jam, lalu beralih ke pekerjaan lain yang tidak menggunakan komputer dan selanjutnya melanjutkan lagi pekerjaannya dengan komputer. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengurangi rasa jenuh, penat, dan kelelahan di mata selama bekerja di depan komputer. Bila dilihat dari sisi keefektivitan tenaga operator, cara kerja seperti ini sudah jelas tidak menguntungkan bagi lembaga karena waktu kerja terbuang dan sudah pasti kaitannya pada produktivitas yang tidak optimal. Kondisi tersebut tentu tidak sesuai dengan konsep ergonomi. Salah satunya adalah tidak tercapainya peningkatan produktivitas. Dalam ergonomi dikenal istilah keluhan subjektif, yaitu tanda-tanda yang menyatakan adanya kelelahan yang dialami orang akibat beban kerja yang membebaninya oleh karena interaksi pekerja dengan jenis pekerjaannya, rancangan tempat kerja, peralatan kerja, dan lingkungan kerja. Kelelahan dibedakan dalam tiga kategori yaitu menurunnya aktivitas, menurunnya motivasi, dan adanya kelelahan fisik akibat keadaan umum. Jenis penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dengan rancangan pre and post test group design, melibatkan sepuluh orang operator sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner kelelahan 30 items of rating scale. Pendataan dilakukan sebelum dan setelah 2 jam kerja. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji t-paired pada tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Hasilnya adalah operator komputer yang bekerja selama 2 jam mengalami peningkatan kelelahan secara umum sebesar 37,29%; pelemahan aktivitas kerja sebesar 39,08%; pelemahan motivasi kerja sebesar 28,64% dan meningkatnya kelelahan fisik sebesar 42,15%. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah perlunya pengaturan irama kerja dan diterapkan istirahat pendek 5 – 10 menit setiap 1 jam kerja agar kondisi operator pulih dari rasa lelah, dan perbaikan stasiun kerja sesuai antropometri operator.
