Abstract

An algorithm for velocity planning on a continuous-curvature path of a pair of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) that minimizing its travelling time is presented. A class of 3-degree Bezier curves is used as basic form of the path. In addition, constraints of maximum allowable linear and radial accelerations are considered. The velocity plan algorithm is generated based on the characteristics of the path’s control points and maximum allowable radial velocity on some the path’s points. A set of properties of the allowable radial velocity is discussed. The verification of the new algorithm is revealed in the simulation results.

Abstract

In education, the students are the products to be input and the output are graduates. Users of graduates are consumers who need to know the level of satisfaction to provide a self-evaluation in improving the institutions. It is also stated in the accreditation forms BAN PT. However, a grain questions that sought to know is very little. The research was conducted at a university in Yogyakarta. Research trying to describe in detail the attributes of quality of graduates based on the user satisfaction level graduates. Object of study is alumni and also alumni users. The study was conducted during the months of August to November 2012. Attributes used are Communication Skills, Organizational Skills, Leadership, Logic, Effort, Ethics, Group and Other Skills. Other attributes are attributes about the ability of areas of expertise. From the results obtained, the attributes that need attention are Organizational Skills and Leadership with the highest gap -0.82. Overall, users of alumni do not feel satisfied, because all negative attributes.

Abstract

This article measures and identifies waste and designs alternatives to reduce waste in one SME in Yogyakarta, thus increasing efficiency. The lean manufacturing approach uses Value Stream Mapping that applies sustainability concepts. The research methodology used in this research is case study strategy. Based on the analysis of Current State Mapping there are many activities that are not important and should be reduced. The sustainability aspect in Gendhis Bag covers the environmental aspect with a 10% limit on skin waste and 15% for PVC waste. Energy consumption for production is 750 watts and labor cost is Rp 32,800 per unit. Safety operators have a very small accident rate, while the largest Physical Load Index score is in the cutting department. Future state VSM shows that NNVA and NVA time can be significantly reduced and lead time can be reduced, so production can increase 12 units per day.

Abstract

Kegagalan distribusi komoditi pertanian dapat berdampak pada penurunan dan kehilangan nilai baik secara kualitas dan kuantitas karena suatu perubahan dimensi waktu-jarak atau suhu serta sarana pengangkutan dalam setiap mata rantai aktivitas distribusi. Model tracking dan tracing system dapat menjadi strategi untuk menjamin keberhasilan distribusi komoditi pertanian secara tepat baik kuantitas maupun kualitas. Model tracking dan tracing komoditi pertanian adalah sebuah sistem proaktif yang real time yang dilengkapi dengan komponen pendukung proses distribusi dengan data yang akurat, terpercaya, berguna, dan cepat dengan memberikan informasi posisi barang atau sarana moda transportasinya.

Abstract

CV Valasindo is furniture industry that produces a wide range of wood product.The production process in CV. Valasindo is devided in two areas, preparation of materials area and production area. This research is focused on work posture of the production area’s workers. The production area itself consists of work stations such as assembly, construction and finishing. The production area  was chosen because on the production process in this area is still done manually by the operator. Additionally, on the production area is also still present a series of no ergonomic work posture, both on the work station construction, assembly and finishing. The purpose of this research is to identify a work posture on the production area and doing an improvement to lowers the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. Based on the results of the assessment work posture against 18 work stations at the production area, the seat assembly work station it is known that has the highest risk of musculoskeletal injuries with a score of REBA 9, OWAS 3 as well as score NBM 75. Based on work by posture assessment method of QEC, REBA, OWAS and reinforced with method NBM then the improvement will be focused on work station assembly seat. In this study, the improvements done by designing a working facility in the form of tables and chairs work. Based on the results of the design work facilities have been simulated and the result is the risk of musculoskeletal injuries that used to be high risk decrease to be low

Abstract

PT. "X" is a company engaged in the aluminum foundry industry. Pan is a product that every day is produced by the company PT. "X. This study determines the characteristics of the products that customers want and reduce the presence of defective products in the manufacture of the skillet to the improvement of product quality. Research methods is DMAI in six sigma method as measures to improve product quality pan. The characteristics of the products that customers want is a thick pan. Customer satisfaction PT. "X" is met with production pans that do not have a big hole, a small hole, and the line - the line broke on the surface of the pan so that the consumption or use of the pan into a durable. Sigma level of PT. "X" amounting to 2,785 sigma which means it is still far from the level of six sigma. Improvements to minimize the occurrence of defects porous product skillet needs to be done on the operator that the process of entering the liquid aluminum into a mold to be in a state of fluid color pink, raw materials that take the raw materials that do not melt before the liquid aluminum inserted into a mold and method of production process pan  namely the application of whitewash is done evenly to all parts of the upper surface of the mold.

Abstract

SPAM (Sistem Pengolahan Air Minum or Drinking Water Treatment System) UNS was established in 2015 to meet the drinking water needs of the UNS academic community by providing 129 dispensers and water tap machines spread across buildings at UNS. A survey conducted by UNS students in 2017 showed that 54 % of students were not sure of the quality of UNS SPAM water. So the service quality questionnaire was distributed to 160 UNS students randomly and it was found that only 3 % of respondents stated that they used SPAM UNS water dispenser very often. Processing results shown the highest gap value is in the reliability dimension, with CTS namely cleanliness and flow of water. From the survey regarding the cleanliness and flow of the water carried out the DPMO value of the process was 332,589 (1, 930 sigma) . Recommendations for improvement are in the form of several SOPs to improve the cleanliness and quality of SPAM UNS water dispenser services.

Abstract

Persaingan antar pelaku bisnis semakin ketat dalam era globalisasi yang menuntut perusahan untuk dinamis dan adaptif terhadap perubahan lingkungan bisnis. Perubahan kearah strategi yang dapat diimplementasikan sesuai dengan perkembangan pasar memerlukan system kendali yang seimbang dalam perspektif  finansial, pelanggan, proses bisnis dan pertumbuhan learning and growth yaitu dalam Balanced Scorecard. Dalam perspektif learning and growth merupakan hal mendasar untuk diperhatikan sebagai kontribusi sumber daya manusia dalam implementasi strategi. Workforce Scorecard dirancang untuk keperluan sebagai sebuah alat pengukuran yang lebih mendalam untuk memastikan terpenuhinya perspektif tersebut. Terdapat empat perspektif yang digunakan sebagai indicator yaitu kesuksesan pekerja, kepemimpinan dan perilaku, kompetensi, serta pola fikir dan budaya. Penelitian aplikatif tahap pertama  analisa dan matriks SWOT untuk perancangan Balanced Scorecard.  Dari hasil perpektif learning and growth dirumuskan Workforce Scorecard dan dilakukan klasifikasi penentuan tenaga kerja di posisi “A”. Kinerja yang dihasilkan adalah 77.52%  dan harus ditingkatkan pelayanan maksimal kepada pelanggan.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dibahas cara pengerjaan pre-cast profil. Perancangan pre-cast profil ini diharapkan dapat membantu serta memudahkan para tenaga (tukang) dalam membuat sebuah profil. Identifikasi kebutuhan pelanggan juga dilakukan untuk menentukan spesifikasi produk, membuat konsep produk dan menyeleksi konsep untuk perancangan ini. Form pernyataan pelanggan diberikan kepada responden guna mengetahui keinginana dari responden tentang produk yang akan diluncurkan. Hasil pernyataan pelanggan kemudian dikembangkan agar dapat mengetahui interpretasi kebutuhannya. Berdasarkan masukan-masukan yang diperoleh digunakan sebagai dasar perancangan pre-cast profil ini diantaranya mengenai bentuk atau model yang bervariasi, kualitas berikut juga nilai harga yang sesuai dengan pasar. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa metode pra cetak dengan menggunakan cetakan fiberglass dinilai sangat tepat untuk digunakan sebagai media pembuatan profil cetak. Fiberglass yang terbuat dari bahan resin, katalis, talk dan matt juga dinilai lebih ekonomis jika digunakan sebagai bahan baku cetakan untuk produksi massal. Karena memiliki beberapa keunggulan jika dibandingkan dengan cetakan berbahan besi. Total biaya per unit untuk produksi berkapasitas 800 unit dengan menggunakan 20 cetakan sebesar Rp 1.000,00 dengan panjang @ 60 cm.

Abstract

PT Syncrum Logistics is a company engaged in the expedition of freight transportation services 3PL (Third Party Logistics), which delivery goods from one place to the destination area by land (On Road) by using a fleet of wings box trucks. PT Syncrum Logistics has more than 80 wings box fleet which are owned by the box itself. One is a box type truck wings are often used for service delivery to Milkrun Cibitung. On the imposition of tariffs for one-time delivery of goods on the route there is a difference with Milkrun Cibitung previous rate calculation that originally was Rp 800.802, - to be decreased to Rp 522.700,-. Tariff of Rp 522.700 based solely on the price offer made by the customer on the marketing side. That price has not reached the ideal rate of the company. From the description above, the calculation for ideal freight rates by route Milkrun Cibitung uses the Vehicle Operating Costs. Calculating the Vehicle Operating Costs must first determine the fixed costs, variable costs and the determination of the basic rate and calculation of the costs incurred each year, month and day, and the benefits to be achieved by the company. Difference obtained is Rp 229.837,- from the initial rate off price minimum negotiable to do between Rp 800.802 to Rp. 707.612/28 pallets (Full Load).
