Abstract

The industrialization implies the changing of many aspects of human life. One of them tends to emerge the orientation of materialism and its consumerism. If this phenomena cannot overcome, can threaten the balancing between inner worldly and otherworldly. The phenomena, particularly the social facts that happen recently, cause rising of parents' afraid of their children's future. In this sense, the emergence of Sekolah Islam Terpadu - The integrated Islamic School becomes an alternative to overcome the problems aforementioned, because it integrates the concept of Islamic education and the method of modern education. We expect that the Integrated Islamic School can become an alternative solution effectively, it is needed to change the approaches of education- from traditional approach to accelerated learning. In this context, there are four important components in accelerated learning. The combination of four components that often called SAVI, namely Somatic (learning by moving and doing), Auditory (learning by talking and hearing), Visual (learning by observing and picturing), and Intellectual (learning by problem and reflecting). But the problem that faced by the Integrated Islamic School is how to pay more attention to affective education.

Abstract

It’s interesting to discuss and research pesantren as Islamic Education Institution from many perspectives. Especially in social economic and politics change which happen in Indonesia. Many activities are holding by pesantren, which indicate pesantren pays attention to Moslem community empowerment, in order to they do not collapse to the worst condition. Moreover pesantren is potential to anticipate many situations proactively to aim better condition of ummat in the future.Key Word: Islamic education institution, social-economic changes

Abstract

Artikel ini mencoba menjelaskan strategi pendidikan nasional dalam menghadapi tantangan-tantangan globalisasi. Globalisasi telah mengubah mindset para pengambil kebijakan di negara-negara maju di kawasan Asia Timur untuk merubah sistem and tata kelola pendidikan mereka melalui desentralisasi, marketisasi dan internasionalisasi untuk meningkatkan daya saing pendidikan mereka. Para pembuat kebijakan di Indonesia harus mereformasi sistem dan tata kelola pendidikan dalam hal regulasi, aturan dan pembiayaan. Ada tiga langkah yang harus diambil untuk mengatasi problem pendidikan nasional: (1) meninjau kembali dan memperbaharui kerangka legal pendidikan nasional yang lama; (2) meningkatkan proses pendidikan yang mampu memperkuat keterampilan mengajar dan pembelajaran para pendidik, dan (3) membangun budaya kewargaan dan mengembangkan kesadaran belajar masyarakat.
