Abstract

The concept of the integrated education emerges can be regarded as a process to discover the profile of ideal education. Actually, the term focusing on how to form the model of education that combining various aspects of potentials of learners. The aspects involve the cognition, affection, psychomotor, and the combination among the talent" environmental cultures, and social system. According to the author, that the developing learners' creativity can be conducted as well as possible if there is a conducive situation in education institution. In this respect, the creativity will increase if there is a harmony and conducive interaction between individual personal and his/her environment. For that reason, the ideal education process can produce outcomes who have character, Islamic Civilization, and mastering science and technology constitutes collective responsibility of school, family, and society. In brief, the education is a process and human investment how to produce a qualified human resources.

Abstract

Study of process is never effective to build and develop of whole personal if teacher/lecture as central actor loss their gezag or dignity of educator. It happens because today we have a new paradigm as we called material oriented. To re-actualization the teacher dignity it should be needed: (I) a leading's teacher as best example (uswatun hasanah) perfectly, (2) increasing teacher's salary, could make teacher more confidence about his or her status, (3) supporting from society perfectly.Key Word: The teacher dignity, Islamic Higher education

Abstract

Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) Malang I adalah salah satu Madrasah unggul yang menyusul "adiknya" Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) Malang I yang telah lebih dahulu menempatkan diri pada jajaran sekolah "papan atas" dl Indonesia. Banyak hal yang bisa dipelajari dari Madrasah ini, dalam mengembangkan pemikiran untuk melahirkan paradigma baru pengembangan Madrasah di Indonesia. Apa yang ada di dalamnya memang bukanlah sesuatu yang sangat luar biasa, tetapi persoalan kedisiplinan, semangat dan ketelatenan para guru, karyawan dan stakeholder dalam memajukan sekolah, merupakan hal yang dapat dicontoh. Tulisan yang merupakan hasil investigasi dan pengamatan terlibat ini, barangkali dapat memberikan masukan bagi para pemerhati dan praktisi pendidikan dalam mengembangkan Madrasah di Indonesia.
