Abstract

Classroom management is crucial in improving student learning outcomes, especially in addressing issues such as lack of focus and learning motivation. This research aims to analyze the impact of classroom management on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects at SD As-Sunniyyah Kencong. This research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design and involved 25 6th-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used in this research included observation, Likert scale questionnaires, interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. The research results indicate classroom management significantly influences student cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. The paired T-test results yielded a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the implementation of classroom management. These findings are consistent with J. Ellis Ormrod’s learning environment theory, which states that good classroom management can improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. In addition, effective classroom management also contributes to increased motivation, active student engagement, and the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere. Thus, this research confirms that optimal classroom management can be an important strategy for improving the quality of learning in terms of material understanding, learning attitudes, and student skills. Therefore, educators need to continuously develop effective classroom management strategies to support the achievement of maximum learning outcomes

Abstract

Education is a process of individual development aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills and improving the quality of human resources to achieve better outcomes. SDN Kencong 01 is one of the elementary schools that has implemented the P5 (Project to Strengthen Pancasila Student Profile) program within the Kurikulum Merdeka, achieving a collaboration rate between teachers and students of up to 80%, despite facing challenges such as limited teacher training, inadequate facilities, and variations in students’ abilities and motivation. This research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to describe the direct experiences of students and teachers in implementing the P5 program with the theme of sustainable living, mainly focusing on the sub-theme of sorting organic, inorganic, and hazardous (B3) waste. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis involving the principal, 6 teachers, and 163 students from grades 1, 2, and 3 as the research subjects. The findings reveal that collaboration between teachers and students in this project successfully enhanced students’ sense of cooperation (gotong royong), independence, and critical thinking skills. Implementing outing class activities to the landfills (TPA) enabled students to engage in experiential learning, which aligns with Piaget’s constructivist theory. As a follow-up, the school can further develop sustainable programs, such as providing teacher training on the concept of the P5 program. This research offers valuable insights into the effectiveness of P5 in shaping students’ character and can serve as a reference for other elementary schools.

Abstract

The science learning outcomes of 4th-grade students at SDN 09 Palembang have been consistently low, largely due to ineffective teaching methods. This research addresses this issue by improving science learning outcomes by implementing a game-based learning approach using Wordwall Tournament games. This research employs a classroom action research (CAR) design conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted with 18 students from 4th grade (class A) at SDN 09 Palembang during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observations and tests. The success standard for this research was set at a minimum of 75% of the student population, fulfilling the minimum passing grade (KKM) of 75. The findings indicate that using tournament-style educational games effectively enhances student learning outcomes. This improvement is shown by increased student achievement across the research cycles. Only 8 out of 18 students fulfilled the learning objectives during the pre-cycle stages, with a completion rate of 44% and an average score of 54.71. In Cycle I, 12 out of 18 students achieved the learning objectives, with a completion rate of 67% and an average score of 64.72. This progress continued in Cycle II, where 16 out of 18 students met the objectives, with a completion rate of 89% with an improved average score of 78.11. These results indicate that implementing Wordwall Tournament games has significantly improved science learning outcomes among 4th-grade students
