Abstract

This research was carried out to implement the Pancasila Student Profiles through project-based learning in science learning and analyze students’ abilities in interpreting the Pancasila Student Profiles at MPK Bayat Elementary School, one of the Sekolah Penggerak. This elementary school was established in 2007 as the youngest among the 3 Sekolah Penggerak in the Bayat District. It has 176 boys and 157 girls, organized into 14 study groups. This fact is a challenge in creating students with characters based on Pancasila. The research method is qualitative, where the primary data source is 4th grade students and teachers, and the secondary data source is in the form of publications or journals according to the research theme. The process of collecting data uses observation, interviews and documentation. Once the data is complete, it is reduced, presented and tested. This research found that the application of the Pancasila Student Profiles was carried out through the “Marketday” class project from the Science subject about “economic activities”. In practice, it prioritizes the roles of producers, distributors, and consumers. The application of the Pancasila Student Profiles can be followed by students well, orderly, actively and able to express opinions well. Students are also able to work on projects optimally. Even though in implementation, there are obstacles in the form of student’ lack of attention in the learning process, these obstacles can still be overcome, and during learning activities, students show character according to the Pancasila Student Profiles.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the identified issue within the classroom: the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics and their lack of familiarity with critical thinking, resulting in passivity. This research aimed to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for 5th grade students in SD Negeri 235 Palembang. This research used the classroom action research (CAR) method, conducted over two learning cycles. The research subjects were 23 students in 5th grade. This research used a learning outcome test instrument as the data collection technique. This research demonstrated that the problem-based learning model could improve students’ learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, 43% of students achieved competence with an average score of 64.7. There was an improvement in cycle I, with 65.2% of students achieving competence with an average score of 70.4. Furthermore, in cycle II, the score improved to 87%, with an average score of 87.6.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the local knowledge of the Baduy indigenous community in environmental conservation efforts, then describe the values of local wisdom of the Baduy community in environmental conservation efforts, and finally, describe the values of local wisdom of the Baduy indigenous community concerning the development of character education in elementary schools. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques such as interviews, documentation, and observations. The research results show that local knowledge and the values of local wisdom of the Baduy indigenous community are formed due to the interaction between the Baduy indigenous community and the geographical and topographical conditions of their natural environment in the Kendeng Mountains. The local knowledge of the Baduy indigenous community concerning environmental conservation includes knowledge about conservation zones, including settlement zones, cultivation zones, and conservation forest zones. The Baduy indigenous community is also familiar with various types of forests, such as cultivated, protected, and conservation forests. The values of local wisdom of the Baduy indigenous community concerning environmental conservation include not polluting rivers, not indiscriminately cutting down trees, the obligation to use natural resources for livelihood, the obligation to reforest barren land, the obligation to preserve water sources, not damaging mountains and valleys, the obligation to leave everything in nature as it is, and the value of honesty. Furthermore, the values that can be cultivated through character education in elementary schools include values for preserving and conserving natural resources and the value of honesty in utilizing natural resources.

Abstract

This research aims to improve HOTS-based E-Worksheets in Science, test the effectiveness of the E-Worksheets through expert validation, and identify student responses to the development of HOTS-based Science E-Worksheets. This research uses the research and development model, including potential problems, information gathering, product design, design validation, design improvement, and product testing. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Serang 13 with 20 students of 5th grade as subjects for limited testing. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets for module, design, language expert validation, and student responses. The research results indicate that the feasibility of HOTS-based Science E-Worksheets, according to expert evaluations, is considered highly feasible, with a percentage of 92% from material experts, 83.65% from design experts, and 80% from linguists. Students responded positively, with a percentage of 94.6%, categorized as “very good.” The development of HOTS-based Science E-Worksheets is highly suitable to use and has received positive responses to be used as teaching materials.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the needs of electronic modules (E-Modules) based on multi-representation using Flipbook PDF Professional. At this stage, researchers made observations and collected data on teaching materials at SDN 146 Palembang. This research uses a questionnaire with qualitative data types as the data collection. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis with data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The data that needs to be analyzed by researchers are data regarding the use of the types of teaching materials used, the implementation of learning, the evaluation system, and the factors that support it. Based on the questionnaire data, 46.7% of students thought the learning material for theme 3, sub-theme 1, which discussed inventors who changed the world, could have been more interesting. Students stated this because 73.3% answered that no exciting teaching materials could make the material easily understood by students. Furthermore, based on the distribution of needs analysis questionnaires related to the e-module teaching materials to be developed, students with a percentage of 76.7% answered that they needed teaching materials that contained images, text, video, and audio or sound. E-Modules can be an alternative in developing teaching materials to support improving the quality of learning.

Abstract

One way to help preserve the Javanese language is through learning. To preserve the Javanese language, a deeper introduction is necessary so that it can be effectively applied in the surrounding environment. The issue faced is that students find Javanese language learning boring because teachers need to use instructional media that can enhance the quality of Javanese language education. The purpose of this research is to evaluate how effectively e-comic media improves the knowledge of 3rd-grade students in understanding Javanese folktales. This research employs a quasi-experimental and quantitative methodology. The non-equivalent control group design is the type of quasi-experimental approach used. The data collection method utilized is testing. Instrument tests used include validity tests, reliability tests, difficulty level analysis, discriminative power, and distractor function. The prerequisite tests used are normality tests and homogeneity tests. The hypothesis test used is the T-test. According to the data, the experimental class outperformed the control class in terms of improvement. The experimental class achieved an average post-test score of 76.6, while the control class averaged 64.3. The experimental class showed a score increase of 21 points, or 37.77%, whereas the control class improved by 16.27%. These findings support the hypothesis that e-comic media positively affects student learning outcomes. Additionally, the school will adopt this media so it can be adapted to the narratives present in the relevant curriculum.

Abstract

The impact of the perception that mathematics lessons are challenging and tedious is the low motivation of students to solve mathematics problems, which leads to low achievement of learning mastery. The activity focuses on implementing the C3T method and peer tutoring to improve the mastery of mathematics learning for 6th-grade students at SDN Purwomartani. The research method used is qualitative. The activity results show an improvement in the learning mastery of students from 9 students to 27 students, with 1 student receiving remedial action outside of class hours. There is a significant improvement in students’ learning success. It indicates that the C3T method and peer tutoring can enhance students’ learning achievements in mathematics at SDN Purwomartani. The C3T method emphasizes the active role of students, speed, and intelligence in learning, thereby increasing students’ motivation and mastery. Peer tutoring also helps boost the confidence of peer tutors, in addition to providing additional support and guidance to students in overcoming learning difficulties.
