Abstract

The problem that underlies this research is the lack of collaboration and mathematics learning outcomes of students of class IX C of SMP N 4 Sumbang. This can be seen if students have difficulty in understanding the material, students tend to be quiet and do not want to cooperate with friends, even though the cooperation of students is very necessary to achieve the success of teaching and learning. To create student cooperation in the learning process, a learning model is needed. One such learning model is the TAI (Teams Assisted Individualization) type of cooperative learning model, where the model is oriented towards collaboration, both mentally, attitudes, and socially. The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of cooperation and learning outcomes in mathematics through the application of cooperative learning models in the form of sequence and series TAI material. This research is a Classroom Action Research. Learning tools, namely syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, and worksheets. While the research instrument is the description test and observation sheet. The subjects of the study were 22 students of the IXC class at SMPN 4 Sumbang. Data sources come from teachers and students. Data collection techniques are by observation, and tests. The study was conducted in December 2017 until April 2018. The subject and time of the study were chosen because the researcher taught in the class and the implementation time was adjusted to the lesson schedule. The research procedure begins with problem identification, action planning, implementation of actions and observations, and analysis and reflection. The results showed that the ability of student cooperation, from the first cycle the percentage of student cooperation with the category of "quite good" 27% and the category of "good" by 73% to the category of "good" 54% and the category of "very good" by 45% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 72.18 with a classical completeness of 59.09% and an increase in the second cycle an average value of 80.36 with a classical completeness of 81.82%. From these results it is recommended that teachers be able to clarify the process of assessing the ability of students to collaborate in the learning process, so that the implementation of learning can run smoothly. While students are advised to increase collaboration so that individual and group learning outcomes can be achieved to the maximum.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the increased interest and learning outcomes of students in grade II at SD Negeri Tukangan Yogyakarta. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were the second grade students of SD Negeri Tukangan with 20 students consisting of 12 male students and 8 female students. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis to determine the percentage increase in interest and learning outcomes in mathematics. The results showed that the cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT) type could increase interest and learning outcomes of students in grade II mathematics learning in mathematics at SDN Tukangan Yogyakarta. The average percentage of student interest in each aspect of the pre-cycle was 57.7% with low qualifications, increasing in the cycle I to 72.2% with medium qualifications. In cycle II it again increased to 80.2% with high qualifications. The average mathematics learning outcomes in the pre-cycle 66.48 with 30% mastery learning, increased to 71.41 in the cycle I with 70% mastery learning and in the second cycle has increased with a mean value of 79.72 with 80% completeness learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Development (STAD) pada siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Tahapan pembelajaran STAD yaitu presentasi kelas, diskusi kelompok, kuis (tes), dan penghargaan kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Tahapan dalam penelitian ada empat yaitu: perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (action), pengamatan (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus II rata-rata persentase penguasaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mencapai lebih dari 60%. Ditinjau dari rata-rata, hasil belajar juga meningkat dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata 73,82 dan persentase yang mencapai KKM sebesar 40,91%. Sedangkan pada siklus II 80,73 dan persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM sebesar 77,27%. Persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus kedua mencapai lebih dari 80% yaitu sebesar 86,67%. Abstract

This study aimed to detemine whether Student Facilitator And Explaining cooperative learning model affected students mathematical communication skills. The research design used was Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this study was entire seventh grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Somagede. Sampling was determined using Cluster Random Sampling technique. Two classes of sample were obtained. Class VII B, consistend of 23 students, selected as the experimental class which employed cooperative tipe Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model and class VII D, consisted of 23 students, was as the control class which used direct learning. Research results indicated that mathematical communication skills of students who attended Student Facilitator And Explaining learning was better than that of students who attended direct learning. So it can be interpreted that Student Facilitator And Explaining learning cooperative model affected students mathematical communication skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa MTs Negeri Bojong pada materi statistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas kelas VII C MTs Negeri Bojong pada tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Data diambil menggunakan tes uraian kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mendalam sehingga diperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) siswa pada kelompok rendah hanya mampu menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 2) siswa pada kelompok sedang sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram serta sudah dapat menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 3) siswa pada kelompok tinggi sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram dan menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara kompleks. Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical communication abilities of students throughProblem Based Learning using a scientific approach. The subject of this research is thestudents of SMK N 3 Purwokerto class XI Foodservice 2 years 2017/2018 that add up to 32students. This type of research is qualitative, where data are collected through the studentactivity sheet on material Composition functions. Abstract

The development of science and technology rapidly growth in use right now, learning device which used inadequate so that the knowledge of students about the technology lagged and limited learning devices used in school. Devices learning of mathematics are effective and in accordance with the subject matter has not developed as expected, and development in the field of education is very important to improve the quality and the quality of resources man. This suggests that education should be made a major priority by both Governments, the education community and Manager. Improve the quality of education endeavors to improve the quality of human resources. This gave the impetus for the Government to always trying to fix and improve the quality of education at every level of education. Technological developments in recent decades go very quickly in line with the development of technology, including computer networks. Various supporting technologies and applications have also been developed in an effort to support and facilitate the activities of human life and organization, including teaching and learning activities in the world of education. Abstract

The ability of mathematical connection is an important thing to be trained to students. Initial observation when this research was conducted showed that there were problems of mathematics learning in SMA Al-Muqoddasah of Ponorogo, that is, the tendency of teacher centered learning activities and low learning result of mathematics students especially in relation between some concepts in mathematics. Reciprocal Teaching Strategy is one of the alternatives that can be done to help students connect some concepts in learning mathematics, and enable students so that they can think creatively and critically. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning with Reciprocal Teaching strategy that can improve students' mathematical connection ability in SMA Al-Muqoddasah of Ponorogo. Abstract

Students' Achievement Index (IP) changes each semester, both increase and decrease. This affects the GPA obtained by graduation. IP obtained by students in even semester is only influenced by IP in odd semester. Based on nature of Markov Chain, if there are past and future events, then future events are independent of past events and only tied to current events. Markov chain is used to analyze probability of IP change each semester and to predict the predicate of graduation with state space used, namely: satisfactory predicate with GPA of 2.00 - 2.75 to state 0, satisfactory predicate with GPA of 2.76 - 3, 24 becomes state 1, predicate is very satisfactory with GPA of 3.25 - 3.79 being state 2, and cumlaude predicate with GPA of 3.80 - 4.00 being state 3. This study aims to predict the predicate of student graduation and to analyze factors that have significant effect on IP. Dummy regression is used to analyze factors that have significant effect on IP with the factors studied, namely: campus facilities and infrastructure, friendship, organizational activeness, internet use, and money. Results showed that predicate of graduation with satisfactory predicate, GPA range of 2.00-2.75 was 0.56%, students who graduated with satisfactory predicate GPA range 2.76-3.24 was 7.39%, students who graduated with very satisfactory predicate, GPA ranges 3.25-3.79 was 54.18%, and students who graduated with cumlaude predicate ranged from GPA 3.80-4.00 was 37.87%. Factors that have significant effect on student GPA are activeness in the organization and use of the internet.

Abstract

Difficulties experienced by students to learn mathematics caused by the lack of practical and less interesting media used by lecturers in learning mathematics has an impact on the low student learning outcomes, especially in the matter of relations and functions. Therefore, “this study aims to determine the feasibility and response of students to the design of mathematics e-module learning devices using sigil software. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, questionnaires and tests. Validation was carried out by three material experts and two media experts. The validation results show that the e-module is suitable for use because it is good in terms of content, language, and presentation feasibility. The revised E-Module was tested on a small scale test (10 students) and continued with a large scale test (28 students). Student responses to e-modules also scored high on all indicators. It can be concluded, the e-module that has been developed is feasible and effective for use in the mathematics” learning process.
