Abstract

The purposes of this study were: 1) know the influence from the guided quantum model toward sosial studies achievement, 2) know the influence of the participation toward the sosial studies achievement, 3) the interaction using the guided quantum model, direct learning model and student’s participation toward the sosial studies achievement. This type of research is experimental research. The sampling that used in this research is the cluster random sampling technique. The population were the fourth grade students of SDN 2 Sokaraja Tengah that consist of two class, there’s IV A class as the experiment class and the IV B class as the control class. The sampling in the IV A class using the guided quantum model and the IV B class using direct learning model. The sampling is used a test and questionnaire. The data analysis is used two lane variance analysis. The result showed that, 1) the guided quantum model has an influence to student’s sosial studies achievement that proved with Fcolumn = 4,698> Ftable = 4,02significance column 0,048 Ftable = 4,02 significance line 0,030< 0,05, 3) there’s no interaction between guided quantum model, direct learning and students participation toward sosial studies achievement that proved Finteraction = 0,828< Ftable = 4,02 interaction significance0,166> 0,05.

Abstract

This research is motivated by lack of understanding of the concept of eighth grade in Ar Rahmah Pacitan Islamic Integrated Junior High School on science subject. Many learning methods found to improve students performance, but how does the teacher is able to choose the appropriate learning method to gain optimal learning results. The purpose of this research is to increase student’s understanding of concepts. For contextual learning or just rely on the books, sometimes the students feel bored, so the student's understanding in learning is less and need a help tool. This research uses a classroom action research method, which lasts for two cycles. The chronology of this research, starting from planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects are 30 students. Collecting data using tests, practicum, questionnaire, interviews, observation, and documentation. The datas are analyzed by looking at the classical mastery learning students ie 75% of students got a score ≥ 75. The results of this research showed that the media environment based learning can increase student’s understanding of the concept. This is evident from the enhancement in the average results of the first cycle test is 77.8 and the second test is 84.5. The learning model that based on environment succeed in increasing understanding of science concepts with the percentage of completeness initially increased by 48% to 70% in cycle 1 and 93% in cycle 2.

Abstract

This research was underlined by students low curiosity and learning achievement on mathematics in grade IV at SD Negeri 1 Kaliwungu. This research was aimed at improving the students' curiosity and mathematics learning achievement on simple solids through Quantum learning model. The subject of this research was the IV grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kaliwungu consisting of 19 students comprising 8 males and 11 females. This was a classroom action research carried 2 cycles. The procedure in each cycle involved planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data were obtained from the observation sheet for the teacher and students activity. To get the data dealing with the learning achievement, the evaluation test was given at the end of each meeting. Moreover, the questionnaire was distributed to the student to get data of students curiosity. Based on the result of the research, the students' curiosity in the first cycle was 73.81% and in the second cycle was 80.26%. Furthermore, the mastery of students learning achievement in the first cycle was 86.84% and in the second cycle was 89.47%. In conclusion, the Quantum learning model could improve the students' curiosity and mathematics learning achievement on simple solids in grade IV at SD Negeri 1 Kaliwungu, Mandiraja sub-district, Banjarnegara regency.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to develop a teaching model of basic movement for children of 2 to 4 years old. The teaching model was based on their development aspect and characteristics and it was focused on three basic movements: locomotors, non locomotors, and manipulative movements. This is a research and developmental study. The development of the teaching model was conducted in seven steps: 1) collecting information; 2) information analysis; 3) developing initial product; 4) expert`s validation and revision; 5) preliminary field test and revision; 6) main field test and revision; and 7) making the final product. The subject of this research was 2 to 4 year old children. The result of this study is in the form of a manual for basic movement teaching for two to-four-year-old children, that consists of seven teaching models: 1) Creeping and Crawling; 2) Walking on the Rope; 3) Throwing Bean Bag to the Hula-Hoop; 4) Bowling Games; 5) Parachute Games; 6) Climbing; and 7) Jumping. As a conclusion, the teaching model is very good and effective. From the evaluation of experts and teachers, it can be concluded that the developed model is very good and appropriate with the characteristic, growth, and development of two-to-four-year-old children`s movement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dasar bermain kasti siswa kelas IV dan V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kembangsongo tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode survai dengan teknik pengambilan datanya berupa tes dan pengukuran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kembangsongo tahun ajaran 2014/2015, teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persentase tingkat kemampuan dasar bermain kasti dengan menggunakan 5 kategori yaitu kategori baik sekali, baik, cukup baik, kurang baik, dan sangat kurang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dasar bermain kasti siswa kelas IV dan V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kembangsongo tahun ajaran 2014/2015 secara keseluruhan adalah 3 siswa (10,34%) mempunyai kategori sangat baik, 9 siswa (31,03%) mempunyai kategori baik, 11 siswa (37,93%) mempunyai kategori cukup baik, 4 siswa (13,79%) mempunyai kategori kurang baik, dan 2 siswa (6,90%) mempunyai kategori sangat kurang baik. Frekuensi terbanyak pada interval 65 < X ≤ 69. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan dasar bermain kasti siswa kelas IV dan V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kembangsongo tahun ajaran 2014/2015 secara keseluruhan adalah berkategori cukup baik

Abstract

Javanese letter is an original Indonesian culture heritage. As a part its conservation, on 2 October 2009, UNICODE, as an institution under UNESCO, determined that Javanese letter was equally admitted what the other letter over the world such as Latin, Chinese, Arabic, and Japanese. However, this condition was not balanced with the development of the Javanese letter in Indonesia, especially by the Javanese people. This research was aimed at revealing more effect of the puzzle media of Javanese letter toward the student competence in writing Javanese Letter in class III-A as the control class and class III B as the experiment class. All the student of class III are homogeny, therefore the sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling. The data collection in this research was by test results. The data was calculated by normal, homogeny test and t-test. The result of student and was accepted therefore the puzzled media after better toward the students' competence in writing and reading Javanese Letter.

Abstract

The research about the misconception of science teaching-learning of fifth grade in Elementary School aims to find out the misconception found in Science books, misconception during science teaching-learning process, determine the causes of the misconception and the percentage of the misconception of the books used by teachers in the class during the science learning for the fifth graders. The method used in this research was a descriptive method with the quantitative and qualitative design. The quantitative method was aimed at measuring the numbers of misconception of the books used by teachers during the science teaching and learning process in class V. Qualitative method was by interview and observation technique to dig the teachers’ misconception in the teaching-learning process. The object of this research was the book of science for the fifth graders and the subject was some teachers of the fifth grades of elementary schools in Purwokerto Utara. The result of the research showed that there was a misconception of the books used by the teachers, therefore this misconception was brought to the class during the teaching-learning process. The factors causing this misconception were the wrong textbooks, the teacher’s less material mastery, and science material understanding, the teacher’s teaching methodology was always monotonous. The percentage of the book misconception was 5,45%, this number belonged to very low category, therefore it needed some improvement by selecting the books

Abstract

Theoretically the adolescent psychological development is a transition period which is marked by changes in biological, psychological and social aspects. Empirically, the increasing trend of juvenile delinquency is caused by the inability of the early adolescents to be assertive so that their personality become weak and they can easily fall into negative things. This study aimed at determining the extent to which environment and mass media have the influence on assertive behaviour and juvenile delinquency trend in Junior High School in West Java Province. The respondents of this research were 458 students of Junior High Schools in West Java. Questionnaire was used to collect the data. Samples were chosen by using stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with two-stages testing: measurement model and structural model, using Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS). The results of this study revealed that all hypothetical statements have significant effects. The findings showed that the increasing level of students’ assertive behaviour can decrease the tendency of juvenile delinquency in them.

Abstract

Characters can be interpreted as a default, heart, soul, personality, character, behavior, per-sonality, character, character, temperament, and character of the individual. Characters here are marked and focused on Applying the values of kindness in action and behavior. A professional teacher is a person skilled in the art that have the academic knowledge skills, social skills, spiritual kecakakapan can deliver their students in achieving academic goals and a destination in pengembangan personality noble character. Character education is meant is a noble character and is expected to be developed in self-learners. In this case the character building of students leads to the understanding of how to develop learners in primary schools so as to have a personality, behavior, nature, character, and character is noble that leads to a series of attitudes, behavior, motivation, and skills that meet the standards of values and norms dijunjung high and must be obeyed.

Abstract

Commonly, science teaching and learning were still focused on the teacher. The teacher gave less direct experience to the students like experiment and observation activities. Commonly, science learning still used presentation method and giving exercises with questions. Students do not have the chance to have experiments or observation. The innovation in teaching-learning can apply one of the teaching method, namely by experiment method, the problem formulation of this research was whether or not there was an effect of the experiment method toward the students’learning outcome for the fourth graders of elementary school. The learning result observed consisted of three aspects: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This research is quantitative research with experiment design. The subject of the research was the fourth graders of elementary school consisting of two classes, the students of class IVA with 19 students as the control class, and the students of class IVB with 20 students as the experiment class. The technique of collecting the data was by posttest for the cognitive aspect, hard work questionnaire for the affective aspect, and work performance for the psychomotor aspect. The material used in this research was all in the topic of energy changes through the use of instrumental music. The data gained was then analyzed by Mann Whitney test. Based of the calculation, it could be concluded that three was an effect of experiment method toward the students’ science learning outcome on cognitive and psychomotor aspects, however, it had no effect on the students’ science learning outcome on the affective aspect of the fourth graders of elementary school.
