Abstract

Abstract. Virtual stores provide great efficiency in the retail value chain, and their existence has tremendously paved the way for electronic commerce. Understanding the intention of consumers to shop online in attitudinal perspective will provide important contribution to the area of e-commerce. This research proposes Task Technology Fit, Perceived Ease of Use (PEoU), and Perceived Usefulness (PU) as the factors that drive consumers’ intention. The results from our survey study of 310 online consumers in Indonesia indicate that TTF affects PEoU and PU significantly. Our hierarchical model also reports that PEoU is the mediating effect on the relationship between TTF and Intention. The resulting model explains a large portion of the factors that lead a user’s behavioural intention to use a virtual shop. Keywords : Attitudinal, Task Technology Fit, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Retail, Virtual Shopping Intention

Abstract

Knowledge is a key word in the information age. Organizational knowledge provides businesses with a way to compete effectively and efficiently in the market. The performance of many organizations is determined more by their knowledge than their physical assets. Capturing and representing knowledge is critical in knowledge management. The spread of organizational knowledge has made a difficulty in sharing knowledge. This problem creates a longer learning cycle. This research proposes a web based knowledge map, using collaborative knowledge retrieval function, as a tool to represent and share knowledge. First, knowledge map gives a comprehensive understanding about what knowledge is needed to achieve objectives, what knowledge sources are available, and which knowledge sources are used by whom. Second, web facilitates knowledge sharing. Third, collaborative knowledge retrieval function will shorten learning cycle. Fourth, the proposed tool is applied to build a web based knowledge for an academic system in higher education. The result of this research is a design of web based knowledge map using collaborative knowledge retrieval function. Collaborative retrieval knowledge function gives recommendations of relevant knowledge between web documents. The proposed model contributes in shortening the learning cycle. Keywords: Knowledge map, Collaborative retrieval knowledge function, Web, Learning cycle, Knowledge Sharing.

Abstract

Abstract. This study attempts to assess the innovation process based on  innovation value chain model in footwear industry in East Java, Indonesia. A strength and weakness mapping analysis was performed and it included three factors related to company characteristics: operation scale based on number of employees, operational priod, and market orientation. The samples were 62 footwear industries, members of East Java  Indonesian Footwear Association (Aprisindo). The questionnaire was sent via email. Thirty industries (48.38%) sent the questionnaire back. A focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted with several representatives from footwear industry before the questionnaire was sent.  The study found that companies are relatively good at idea conversion (42,30%)  but the companies have  a little difficulties at diffusion (50,80%) and  at idea generation (55,80%). From the result respose show (see table.2) that the weakest links (the innovation process bottleneck) is cross-pollination activity [in which the people typically don't collaborate on projects across units, businesses, or subsidiaries (88,6%)],  while the strongest links is selection activity [the companies have a risk- averse attitude toward  investing in novel ideas (39,3%)]. Based on p-value, the study found that company characteristics influencing a certain phase of innovation value chain significantly were company period (age of company) and market orientation. Specifically, both of them influenced idea generation phase. Keywords:  Innovation Process Capability, Innovation value chain, footwear industry.

Abstract

Abstract. Energy resilience is one of the famous issues among researchers and practitioners in energy sector. With enabling new technologies in power engineering for smart grid such as distributed generation, distributed storage, and intelligent information and management, each household community can establish a resilience energy production, distribution, and consumption. A household in smart grid system behaves as a customer and producer at the same time. This condition enabled them to reduce the power shortage in the peak hours, reduce CO2 pollution using renewable electricity, and minimizing electricity usage by changing life style. In developing countries, the amount of electricity supply is less than its demand. Most of the demand comes from the household that has peak load on nighttime. Keywords: User behavior, Game theory, Smart grid, Heating and cooling appliances, Energy resilientdoi:10.12695/ajtm.2013.6.2.1 How to cite this article:Mulyono, N. Abstract

The electronic revolution in the Malaysian banking sector has started in the 1970's. The first visible form of electronic innovation in the Malaysian banking industry was the introduction of Automated Teller Machines in 1981. Finally, on June 1, 2000, the Malaysian Central Bank gave the green light for locally owned commercial banks to offer Internet banking services. Due to the drastic changes in the business environment, it leads financial institutions to revise their marketing strategies to stress long-lasting relationships with customers. Relationships is important criteria in the selection of private bank. In many conditions, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between antecedent’s factors and marketing performance. Hence, CRM performance is about maintaining good relationship and repurchases behavior, word-of-mouth and customer retention. Trust has been studied in traditional physical commercial environments. In the marketing and management literatures, trust is strongly associated with attitudes toward products, services, and purchasing behaviors. So that, the main objective of this research paper is to investigate the role of CRM performance as the mediator in the relationship between trust and E-Banking adoption. Hence, this empirical paper confirmed the role of customer relationship management performance as the mediators in the relationship between trust and electronic banking adoption.Key words: Trust, Customer Relationship Management Performance, E-Banking Adoption

Abstract

Management of Technology (MOT) is defined as an academic discipline of management that enables organizations to manage their technological fundamentals to create competitive advantage. MOT covers a wide range of contents including administrative strategy, R&D management, manufacturing management, technology transfer, production control, marketing, accounting, finance, business ethics, and others. For each topic, researchers have conducted their MOT research at various levels. However, a practical and pragmatic side of MOT surely affects its research trends. Finding changes of MOT research trends, or the chronological transitions of principal subjects, can help understand the key concepts of current MOT. This paper studied a bottom-up trend in research fields in MOT by applying a text-mining method to the conference proceedings of IAMOT (International Association for Management of Technology). First, focusing on only nouns found several keywords, which more frequently emerge over time in the IAMOT proceedings. Then, expanding the scope into other parts of speech viewed the keywords in a natural context. Finally, it was found that the use of an important keyword has qualitatively and quantitatively extended over time. In conclusion, a bottom-up trend in MOT research was detected and the effects of the social situation on the trend were discussed. Keywords: Management of Technology; Text Mining; Research Trend; Bottom-up Trend; Patent
