Abstract

This paper reviews the history of the educational activity which was entered through John Dewey’s Experimental School, founded in 1896, the first school to use the activity curriculum. It sheds the light on the stages that activity has gone through till today. The Islamic view and a number of quotes from a number of Islamic thinkers and educators also were reviewed. The importance of the activity, its basics, functions, types and classifications were also discussed. The research concluded with a number of international experiences which gave great importance to the activity in their curricula and educational plans. The most important recommendations are: 1) Offering advanced training programs for teachers on educational activity; 2) Adding educational activity as an independent material in educational colleges; 3) Expanding the scope of study for international experiences in educational activity; and 4) Making use of technology and employing it in the educational activity.

Abstract

The successful of a religious personality is through the child's learning needs to be supported by the exemplary elements from both teachers and parents. For the purpose of the implementation can be done in a gradual learning strategies and develop habituation program or daily activities. To implement the program of religious values, teachers must be constantly creative and innovating to use a variety of approaches in accordance with the level of development and students' needs, a comprehensive curriculum, and the continuity between the development program with other programs. The presence of the curriculum in 2013 with a science characteristic (observe, ask, explore, associate, communicate) and authentic assessment have to be understood early childhood teachers so that the internalization of religious values ​​can be absorbed in the learning process. Each children must has expected to be a good boy who obey the religious values. Early Childhood Education as an institution that expectedly nurturing children in a golden age.

Abstract

ASEAN Economic Community is the era of globalization of the region. It is necessary to be observed the education in Indonesia carefully, so that Indonesian human resources are ready to face increasingly tight competition with other countries. Organizational culture at the school level requires leaders who are able to mobilize developments and changes that are doing creative activities, finding new strategies, methods, ways, or concepts in teaching so that learning is meaningful and giving birth to quality education. In this regard, it requires transformative leadership as an effort to produce a competitive education and produce learners who have integrity of personality, discipline, creative, innovative, and competitive attitude. The professionalism of educational leadership as a transformational leader needs to have competence, transparency, efficiency, and high quality. The Transformative Leadership Planning Strategy must be able to change the situation from ordinary to achieving by integrating and accommodating local-value-based jugglers, fostering human relationships by motivating subordinates, tut wuri handayani (humanist​), dynamic circumstances to elicit vision, initiative , and group creativity in innovation and improvement of madrasah (catalist) programs, ideas agent in innovation that give profit to all element of madrasah, especially for students' interests, Madrasah Principals and staff that have the capability of religious-cultural discourse in the form of local culture Javanese) and religious (Islam) are used for the achievement of madrasah objectives, so as to enable the implementation of cultural leadership role, the occurrence of mission communications, vision, values ​​and philosophy of madrasah to the community, parents and government in order to obtain support and partnership so that enabling the role of social leadership (social leadership).

Abstract

Marketing education is a step in renewal when an educational institution follow the tight competition to obtain customers. For educational institutions that have good in the implementation of marketing management of education requires only good planning with continuous improvement quality in order to anticipate the demand of the world of work. As for schools or institutions that have not received a place of public heart (customers) it is necessary to do hard work introducing its products to the public. Abstract

Teacher performance assessment is an important factor for improving teacher performance. Teacher who have good performance will affect the academic results of students and madrasah. One of the factors influencing teacher performance appraisal is head of madrasah. The assessment model used depends on the experience of the head of the madrasah. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the head of the madrasah in assessing teacher performance and describing the use of teacher performance appraisal model. The research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhsan Beji Purwokerto with qualitative research method and descriptive approach. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The analysis used is qualitative approach with Miles and Huberman model. The result showed that the practice of performance appraisal in Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhsan Beji not yet maximal, as for factors that influence the lack of appraiser, assessment aspect, utilization of teacher performance appraisal result. While the model used is Behavior Observation Scale (BOS) and Field Review model.

Abstract

In the days of the Salaf scholars, the profession of teachers had a glorious position. However, in Indonesia, at the beginning after independence, the teaching profession was a despised profession and was not appreciated at all, but now teachers are getting a bit more glorious places. This is because teacher professionalism is more appreciated and teachers' welfare is improved. Indeed, in the days of scholars salaf first, educators or teachers get a noble place, but when the new order shifted into perspective Oemar Bakri, now in the third Millennium era, the teacher returned to get a glorious place.

Abstract

Ruhul Islam is the core spirit of Islam that is the identity or characteristic of an individual or Islamic institution that has a mental attitude. It always guided by morals, according to the guidance of Islamic teachings so that can create a brotherhood of fellow Muslims in bringing people to a better state. The objective of this research is to know the comparison of Ruhul Islam application level to the embedded character in college student based on Islam and technology. Explanatory research method used primary data of field observation and questionnaire and secondary data, sample using Slovin formula and purposive sampling method with error rate of 10%, interconnection between variables using path analysis. Characteristics of respondents majority of women, active age 18-21 year students, high school graduates and the origin of UNISBA students 67% of Bandung while Telkom 82% outside Bandung. Implementation of Islamic values ​​with character formation in Islamic universities has a stronger relationship than information technology-based colleges with a R2 level of 37% versus 32.8%, more than 60% character formation can be influenced by other factors or variables.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the tafseer al-Mishbāh by M. Quraish Shihab on the verses relating to the process of the human creation that has relevance to the concept of prenatal education. The approach used in this research is tafsir maudhū'i, ie tracing the verses relating to the problem under study and then described the interpretation of the verses. The data that have been collected then analyzed by the method of content analysis which analyze the interpreter's thoughts with theoretical categories so that found the main message and the context. The results of the study show that, God created the first human Adam and Eve then cultivate it into human offspring, by creating the womb. The stages of human development in the womb are ranging from nuthfah, 'alaqah, mudghah and ansya'a khalqan ākhar. The stage of ansya'a khalqan ākhar is the stage of the blowing of the spirit, the covenant of God with man, and God gives nature to man. Since that phase, children can get education. The effort to be done by parents in educating children in the prenatal period are running worship, reading and memorizing Al-Qur`a, dzikir, dialogue, follow the study of Islam (majlis ta`lim), behave well, and be consistent.

Abstract

Mobile-learning model is an alternative that allows to improve the quality of learning outcomes in FTIK IAIN Tulungagung. This study is aimed to: (1) apply mobile-learning for supporting the conventional learning process of FTIK IAIN Tulungagung; (2) optimalize the quality of learning by implementing mobile learning model in the FTIK IAIN Tulungagung; (3) increase the learning process of the students of FTIK IAIN Tulungagung. The purpose of this research is be able to increase students own potential in the learning process through mobile learning. This research is an action research approach, by designing a system of information technology-based learning via the web portal mobile-learning, which applied on FTIK IAIN Tulungagung, with a sample of 40 students. Based on the research, the results on t-test for Equality of Means show that the value of t learning method with mobile learning is equal to 135,761 (equal variances assummed) with sig (2-tailed) of 0.000. While the t value of conventional method equal to 86,808 (equal variances assummed) with sig (2-tailed) equal to 0,000. The conclusion is "There are differences in learning outcomes in the course of Learning Technology between students who learn to use mobile learning based on lectora inspire with conventional methods".

Abstract

This article is intended to reveal the basic theory of educational policy. The practice of Islamic education in Indonesia from its development to its policy implementation has also become a basic study of this article. This research includes literature research using laws, books, articles, and journals related to the Indonesian Islamic education policy and its implementation from the pre-colonial era to the Curriculum 2013 as a source of data. A theoretical study approach to a policy using an existing phenomena. The results of this study is indicating that the policy of Indonesian Islamic education has experienced a significant development in every era, although the implementation of the policy there are still many problems in several lines. The development and change of Islamic education policies have a positive impact every year, so that Indonesian Islamic education is more global and comprehensive and felt by all Indonesian citizens. Indonesian Islamic education has been developing every time until the curriculum 2013 with additional hours of lessons, but this great policy should need to be evaluated and accompanied by the development of professional educator resources. Because the development of material policies must be supported by human resources to advance the Indonesian Islamic education.
