Abstract

This article aims to examine the impact of the transformation of pesantren education on the cultivation of santri's sincere values ​​in pesantren. The method used in the discussion of this article is descriptive qualitative method, which comes from interviews and observations in the field. This article discusses that the impact of the transformation of pesantren education today, not only changed the socio-cultural base and knowledge of santri alone, but also influenced the values ​​of the spirit of santri sincere in boarding schools. Therefore, major changes made by kyai to pesantren institutions today have an impact on the sincere behavior of santri in everyday life. In terms of planting the values ​​of the soul of sincerity in the boarding school is expected to open and flexible to the development of the world, but still provides a filter for its basic value is not fade (Islamic teachings). Because, as opposed to the current, as hard as it retains, in the end it will sooner or later be carried away as well. This process is a natural law that can not be dammed, but it needs to be addressed the present situation wisely, so as not to conflict with the basic Islamic teachings. It is not an alternative choice that crossed the way, but is an accumulation of the values ​​of life experienced by pesantren throughout its history, leaving no soul of sincerity or traditions.

Abstract

As a millennial generation, learners tend not to have maturity in thinking. The seeds of exclusive, intolerant, even radical thought become an alarming threat. Moreover, teachers as educators play a substantial role in introducing the values ​​of humanism and multiculturalism. With the study of library research and analysis with content analysis method, this research tries to formulate the concept of Islamic religious education teacher of multiculturalism to the generation of humanist-democratic Islam. The results concluded that multicultural education becomes an alternative solution to overcome the disintegration of the nation that began to occur. Teachers as learning facilitators should design learning that supports the implementation of multicultural education. Terefore, it needs a multicultural typology teacher who can appreciate the deversity, upholds human rights and justice, avoiding theological justification and truth claims, and non-constructive anti-criticism. It can be concluded that it has implications on the achievement of true Islamic education objectives, namely to educate students academically, spiritually, and socially.

Abstract

This article discuss neuroscience in Islamic religion learning. Islamic religious science is concerned with neuroscience because neuroscience studies the brain. Brain is the center of human intelligence that controls the nervous system in capturing a learning. The clearer the goal of learning religious education the easier the selection and determination of materials and methods of delivery. Islamic education through neuroscience theory can be done by teachers or educators must first know and understand the performance of the human brain, taking into account the natural work of the learners' brain in the learning process, creating an atmosphere of learning in which learners are respected and supported, avoiding the occurrence pemforsiran to work the brain, after that, the PAI teacher can use various learning models of Islamic Education that are interesting to students or learners. Thus, students will experience optimization of brain function properly and correctly so that learning objectives can be achieved well.

Abstract

Elementary schools  are designed to provide students with  foundations of intelligence, knowledge, personality, and life skills as well as to prepare them to pursue higher education. The involvement of society in school development in important since education is an inseparable part of the  society . The articals in order to be self-supporting andcontinue to the next level of education. Social involvement indeveloping schools is a proper thing due to education is a part of the social life essence. The society is not only concerned in education, but also tried to improve quality in order to create social roles through participations in educationa inschool developmentl institution. This research used qualitative approach and to collect the data used deep interview, partisipant observation and documentation. The present research was conductedto investigate the role of the society in two islamic primary schools and islamic elementary school in Blitar Regency, each of which had different characteristics. The research focused on investigating (a) the role of external stakeholder in developing education, school committee, class associations,busness world and industry, ex study and other agency (b) the role of external stakeholder in developing school equipment, help power, thought and ingredients. (c)  the role of the stakeholder eksternal in improving the quality of education, non academic through supervisor and evaluation.

Abstract

The Islamic civilization in the era of classical Islamput science in a high position. At that time scholars did not distinguish between religious science and general science. But the principle of unity of knowledge then has faded and become a dichotomy of science when the Islamic civilization has declined. That fact is what stirs the anxiety of K.H. Imam Zarkasyi to affirm the principle of unity of knowledge because science is a unity which is derived from Allah. According to K.H. Imam Zarkasyi, the rise of Muslim civilization  is very dependent on the management of educational institution quality and solidity of Muslims. Efforts to modernize education are absolutely necessary to produce pious and knowledgeable graduates. Therefore, education curriculum at Pondok Modern Gontor applies of religious lessons and of general lessons. It is the consistency of this educational institution that is finally able to realize the implementation of advanced Islamic education which contributes to the revival of Islamic civilization.

Abstract

Every successful education institution must have cultivated good cultures, one of them is a culture of discipline. According to the three steps theory of Kurt Lewin, there are some steps needed to develop the disciplinary culture: unfreezing, movement, and refreezing. The study belongs to a multi-sites design with qualitative approach. The data of the study are collected by employing the following three methods: in-depth interview, participant-observation, and documentation. The collected data are, then organized, interpreted, and analyzed in recursion. The activity of analyzing the data is done in every site and a cross-site analysis to formulate concepts and findings. The overall findings of the study are, the steps in developing a culture of discipline are carried out within five phases: (1) having a desire of changes supported by the value of being religious, the existence of external challenges and the availability of great desire of the leader; (2) preparing a good system done through building system and mindset of the disciplinary culture; (3) unfreezing the system conducted through the process of socialization which is continuously done and  followed by giving reward and punishment; (4) conducting movement realized by changing the disciplinary culture in terms of arrival, clothing, driving, and behaving in daily life; (5) refreezing the culture done to refreezing the existing culture of discipline covering the discipline of time, clothing, learning, driving, and behaving. The roles of the schools’ members in developing the culture of discipline are represented by school leaders as the ones responsible for making changes in relation to policy and coordination, the teachers and staff as agents of changes in implementing and controlling the culture of discipline, and the students as parts of object and evaluators of changes. Some efforts taken to overcome the resistance of the development of the culture of discipline coming from teachers and students are personally done both curatively and preventively. This study develop and support Kurt Lewin’s theories- the three step theory and the force field theory. These theories are also appropriate with the role theory developed by Biddle and Thomas. This study also indicates that religion takes an important role in cultivating and developing a culture of school discipline through modeling and habit approaches.

Abstract

This article will describe the Kiai as primary leader in Islamic boarding school who has responsibility to teach Islamic doctrine and build good character of santries in one of unique Islamic boarding school traditions “sowan”, that sowan tradition either as medium of kiai-santries relationship empowerment, it become a medium of following character building education. The kiai can encourage and motivate the santries to be consisten and commite in applicate pesantren characters like patients, honest, consisten, and empowering fith to the God in their daily actions in the life. The trust of Kiai’s personality as ultimate figure for them make them obey to their fatwa and advices and believe that aplicate everything that kiai said make them get barokah and usefulness in their life in a middle of communities. So that, that mind set can be a modal for Kiai to empower character building education goin on continuously gradually long time to the santries who have gone out of Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

The dichotomic view that appears in people's lives has a negative impact on Islamic education in Indonesia. This dichotomic view gives a negative impact likes backwardness and disintegration on Islamic education in Indonesia. In fact, Islamic education in Indonesia has not produce the scholars who have a spiritual and intellectual commitment. Therefore, this research offers the concept of Muhammad Abduh's Islamic education as a solution.This research aims to analyze the concept of Islamic education of Muhammad Abduh and to show the implication of the concept of Islamic education of Muhammad Abduh towards Islamic education in Indonesia. The research used qualitative approach with library study. The data collecting technique used was documentation technique. The data obtained was then analyzed using content analysis. The result of the research indicates that the concept of Islamic thought of Muhammad Abduh was to educate the mind and soul of the students. The implication of Islamic education concept of Muhammad Abduh towards Islamic Education in Indonesia was the objective of the education should pay attention the natural tendency of human being comprehensively. The students, both boys and girls, should increase the knowledge. The educator should have intellectual competences and good religious. The learning method implemented should develop the mind and spiritual aspects (transfer knowledge and transfer value). The Islamic education in Indonesia should learn about the realm of modern knowledge and religious knowledge.

Abstract

This article aims to investigate the relationship between Intellectual networks and ideological with the development of radicalism in the "Salafi Jihadi" pesantren. There are many typelogies in the pesantren that develop in the Bima Regency. Among them are Islamic boarding schools that are affiliated to the jihadi salafi group, such as the UBK pesantren. Intellectualnetworks and ideological allegedly contributed to the emergence of radical values ​​in the learning process in the pesantren. This study uses qualitative phenomenological methods, in which the researcher reveals data in accordance with the natural setting. While the data collection instruments used were in-depth interviews and all forms of observation. It was found in this study that intellectual networks are a network of knowledge that shapes the religious understanding of religious teachers in the pesantren. This network is formed through the scientific sanad of religious teachers at UBK pesantren with Islamic organizations outside the pesantren. This network is suspected as a container in supplying what is called values ​​or ideology. Ideology formation in a person is more influenced and determined by how strong the network that is closest to the individual is pushed.

Abstract

The development of technology and information today, especially in media information and communication can produce pattern of thinking and attitude to be a good progress. Moreover, with the rapid develop of technology right now, the world of education also join to plays a role in the process of utilizing of emerging technologies. In this case, utilizing the learning technology media to benefit optimally is useful for education process, as well as the teacher’s role that also needed for teaching and learning philosophical of Islamic education. The students are able to understand the material about philosophy and to hone the students’ thinking happily and motivated if the teacher teach them using multimedia interactive. Since this learning strategy can guide the students completely in order to master the philosophy material quickly. This multimedia Interactive help the students to learn and understand the materials of philosophy which can operate by computer. Those CD interactive program made by compound some materials in the form of film, moving picture, animation, and games. Therefore, the students are able to understand Philosophy of Islamic Education by utilizing the virtual picture of material which was packed in compact disc form even can be operated with computer or laptop.
