Abstract

This study aims to conduct a literature review on the policy of managing primary schools in Indonesia, with a focus on the development of best policies and practices that have been implemented. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through searching and analyzing relevant literature documents. The results of the study indicate that there are several best policies and practices in managing primary schools in Indonesia. These include the school autonomy policy that provides freedom for schools to manage and develop educational programs, as well as the policy of equalization and inclusivity in education that aims to provide equal opportunities for all students. In addition, there are also best practices such as developing leadership programs for school principals, effective and efficient management of human resources, and the implementation of information technology in school administration. However, there are still several obstacles in managing primary schools in Indonesia, such as the lack of quality human resources, insufficient budget for educational program development, and lack of access to education for students living in remote areas. In order to improve the policy of managing primary schools in Indonesia, it is recommended to continue developing leadership development programs for school principals, improving the quality of human resources, and providing better support and access to students in remote areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models with chatbot AI on learning outcomes in Class IV at SDN 1 Genteng, Banyuwangi, East Java. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research method and a non-equivalent control group design. Non-probability sampling was used. The population and sample consisted of 33 students in class IV-A as the experimental class and 39 in class IV-B as the control class in SDN 1 Genteng, Banyuwangi, East Java. The data-collection instrument used a written test using multiple choices and descriptions. Data analysis techniques using SPSS Statistics 21. The study showed that problem-based learning models with chatbot AI affected learning outcomes. Other results using problem-based learning models with chatbot AI differ from those obtained using conventional models. The improved learning outcomes based on the N-Gain score of problem-based learning models with chatbot AI is 56.1545, and that of conventional models is 21.0266. Using problem-based learning models with chatbot AI is likely effective in elementary school learning.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that must be mastered as it indirectly influences individuals' numerical abilities at further educational levels. This research aims to analyze the numerical analysis skills of sixth-grade elementary school students in mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed in this study. The research sample is selected using purposive sampling technique, specifically targeting students with low numerical abilities. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data are then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. `The research findings indicate that students' learning outcomes have not yet reached an optimal level. Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic faces various challenges. Observations and interviews reveal that online learning is not as effective as face-to-face instruction. Both teachers and students encounter limitations in implementing the learning process. Additionally, the research findings uncover errors in performing simple arithmetic operations by students. The Mid-Term Assessment results indicate that students have not achieved the maximum level of achievement. Interviews with teachers also indicate numerous barriers and difficulties in conducting effective online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research holds novelty value in the context of utilizing online learning in emergency situations such as a pandemic. The research findings provide insights into the challenges and constraints faced by students and teachers in online mathematics education. To address these issues, the development of more interactive and participatory teaching strategies, as well as the utilization of diverse and engaging learning media, are necessary. Future research could explore teaching methods that enhance students' numerical abilities during online learning and develop more adaptive and innovative instructional media.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the regularity of the relationship between Islamic values and social science subjects/materials contained in the thematic book theme 3 "Caring for Living Things" published by the Ministry of Education and Culture revised edition 2017, using Ian G. Barbour's theory which formulates 4 typologies namely conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. This research is a type of qualitative research using library research method or content analysis. The data collection technique uses documentation techniques to collect information, which is then analyzed to determine whether the data obtained is relevant and valid. Data analysis uses some equipment (pencils, pens, and note paper), bibliographic work, preparing and determining time, reading, and then concluding. The object of this research is the thematic book theme 3 revision 2017 published by the Ministry of Education and Culture grade IV SD / MI. This study found that the relationship between Islamic values and social issues in thematic thematic books includes 3 of the 4 typologies proposed by Barbour namely: a) independent, c) dialog, and d) integration. There is no conflict between social science materials and Islamic values (religion) because both can be united by finding common points between social science and Islamic values. This is done based on references to Quranic verses. In this case, the social science issues in the textbook are integrated with Islamic values by tracing the verses of the Quran.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a problem in students' learning difficulties in reading, difficulty in combining letters into words, words into sentences and difficulty in pronouncing long sentences (halting). The strategies used by educators in learning to read by using direct and indirect learning strategies in the learning process, as well as using a reading guidance service strategy implemented after school in the library room which takes place 2-3 times a week. The purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the learning planning of educators in overcoming students 'learning difficulties in reading, (2) describe the strategies that educators undertake in overcoming students' reading difficulties, (3) describe the results of learning to read learners in class II B MIN I Pariaman City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. Data triangulation is used to get the data, the data are analyzed by reducing irrelevant data, describing the data then drawing conclusions. The results of research on instructional learning planning in overcoming learning difficulties of students found that educators directly design RPP in Class II B. Making RPP is done at the beginning of the semester or before learning with the provisions of the contents of the RPP according to the needs of students in class II B. Strategies conducted by educators in overcoming the learning difficulties of reading class II B students use direct learning strategies (strategies that are centered on educators as the main source of learning) and indirect learning strategies (strategies that require students to be active in learning. The learning outcomes of students reading are 27 students, 22 including having good learning outcomes, it indicates that 84% of students get satisfying reading results and only 16% of other students are still under the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria).
