Abstract

Pati is a region on the north coast, according to the hypothesis of the researcher, the region is divided into three categories. The northern regions are more religious, the central is more plural, while the southern region is in the middle. In the central region there are many relics of tombs believed to be the those of the Muslim proselytizers in the area of Pati. The one that attracts the researcher is a tomb in the Gambiran area, where there are five local Muslim saints buried, one of them belons to mbah Hendro Kusumo, the son of Syech Ahmad Mutamakkin. This article attempts to trace back the spreading of Islam in Pati based on the existence of thetomb of Mbah Hendro Kusumo. It wants to answer question of whethere the existence of his tomb is due to his studying there or marital relationship, and how it relates to the spreading of Islam. Keywords: Mbah Hendro Kusumo, Traces of Islamic Dakwah, Islam

Abstract

Understanding or interpretation of a text, including the holy book of the Qur'an, is strongly influenced by the perspective of the commentator, cultural background, and prejudices behind it. In this way the text becomes alive and rich in meaning. The meaning of the text becomes dynamic and always contextual, along with the acceleration of the development of human culture and civilization. Amina Wadud carries out her creativity and innovation in interpreting the Qur'an. Because so far there is no truly objective method of interpretation. Each interpretation tends to reflect subjective choices. The reconstruction of Amina Wadud's interpretation methodology is characterized by Deconstructive-reconstructive, Argumentative-theological and Hermeneutic-philosophical, each verse to be interpreted must be analyzed in various aspects. n the study of leadership, Amina's critique of the male Mufassir that men were created by Allah to be superior to women (in terms of physical and mental strength) ignores the sociological contextual aspect which is contrary to the spirit of justice and humanity in Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Currently, Archipelagic Islam (Islam Nusantara) is a familiar term to Indonesian people. In addition to giving a dystinctive color to Islam, it also promotes diversity, by adapting Islamic values into the local culture. Islam Nusantara brings forward moderate understanding of Islam by accepting differences, promoting well-being, tolerance, mutual respect and peace. On the other side, the puritans do not regard the culture as a national identity based on textualist interpretation of the Qur’an ultimately leading to violence, coercion, infidelity, misleading and intolerance. This paper will examine what Islam Nusantara means and what kind of Islam that it promotes and how it plays a role in safeguarding the unity of the Republic of Indonesia from the puritan groups who are easily to label others as infidels for not practicing Islam as found in the Middle East. Keywords: Islam Nusantara, Nusantara, Puritans, Local Culture

Islamic education is a long life process in digging and performing Islamic values of (raḥmatan li al-’alamīn). It is also long-life attempts to excavate raḥmatan values amid the challenges of modernity and thoughts. This article discusses Islamic education from a philosophical perspective. This study found that ontologically theessence of Islamic education is on the process, while epestemoligically it requires the interaction between ratio and revelation. Axiologically, Islamic education should bring dignity, prominence, and happiness both in the word and the hereafter. This is what the so-called a ‘two in one’ concept and the key is ‘lillāh.Keywords: Pendidikan Agama Islam, Filsafat, Raḥmatan li al-’Alamīn

Abstract

This paper will try to explain the relationship between religion and culture. These two topics are the most important items that are inseparable in the history of human civilization from the classical to the modern period. Religion is ahuman belief system that is related to God. If the rule comes from God, then it cannot be said to be a culture, because it is not human creation, but God’s creation that is absolute. Religion is interpreted as part of the life (culture) ofindividuals or groups, each of which has the authority to understand religion and apply it. With the characteristics as indicated by Fazlur Rahman, wherever religion is located, it is hoped that it can provide guidance on values or moralsfor all activities of human life, whether social, cultural, economic or political. Not infrequently also religion becomes a determining factor in the adhesive process of social cultural interaction of the community as well as unifying thenation. Culture and religion are something different but can influence each other so that new cultures or mixing of cultures emerge. The opinion of Endang Saifudin Anshari who said in his writing that religion and culture do notinclude each other, in principle one is not part of the other and each consists of itself. Between them, of course, they are closely related like us, we see in everyday life and human life. As also seen in the close relationship between husband and wife who can give birth to a son but the husband is not part of the wife, and vice versa. Religion and culture are two different things but cannot be separated. The existence of a religion will be greatly influenced and affect thepractice of a religion in question. And conversely, a culture will be greatly influenced by the beliefs of the society in which culture develops. Therefore religion is not only an individual problem but religion is also a social affair whichultimately religious people are not only able to give birth to individual piety but also must be able to give birth to social piety.Key words: Interaction, Religion, Culture,

Abstract

In this study, the researcher seeks to see the extent of the potential for conflicts with ideological backgrounds carried out by former HTI members due to their efforts to hegemony political and religious actions in the City of Kediri. The form of research used in this research is field research. Field research is a type of research oriented to the collection of empirical data in the field. Testing the data in this study using transferability analysis. Testing this data is a modification of external validity in qualitative research. The research that has been carried out has shown that in the City of Kediri the infiltration of former HTI is not much different from the initial goal of establishing HTI, namely preaching Islam by propagating the establishment of a caliphate (pan-Islamism)internationally and the enforcement of sharia law for all mankind. The movements of former HTI members in Kediri City are indeed banned from their activities by the Government, but the fact is that their ideology is still alive in Kediri City. This received a different response from NU and Muhammadiyah in Kediri. NU City of Kediri is the most vocal organization in preventing the growth and development of HTI ideology to revive in the City of Kediri. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah of Kediri City is more lenient in dealing with the ideology of the former HTI member. Although in essence Muhammadiyah itself agrees with the dangers of the HTI ideology. Keywords: Ex-HTI Ideology, Conflicts Potential, Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah

Abstract

Abstract

Various opinions or atheist ideals are displayed, which assume that the world already exists by itself. As the world is a tirelessly moving machine that has no beginning and no end. That is what has given an assumption that the universe does not have a creator or maintainer so that the term God does not apply in his thoughts and beliefs. This research is library research (Library Research), so that the type of qualitative research. The data source was obtained from Ibn Rusyd’s primary data source, Al-Kasyf’ Manāhij al-Adillat fi ʻAqaid al Millat Tahafut at Tahafut and fash al Maqal, the data collection methods used in this study were the deductive, comparative and hermeneutic methods. This research concludes, Ibnu Rusyd proved the existence of God by proposing no propositions, namely the Dalil al Inayah (providence of God), Dalil al-Ikhtira (the proposition of creation), and Dalil al Harakah (the proposition of motion). We witness that everything that has no sense, like for example, natural body, towards the end. The analysis obtained in proving the existence of God by Ibnu Rusyd is acknowledging the existence of God. Their intellect and revelation become the source of knowledge and tools to achieve truth, especially in proving the existence of God. Then his philosophical thought patterns indirectly influenced more by the philosophy of Aristotle. He succeeded in reconciling the world of philosophy with the world of Theology and through his cosmological arguments, has proven the existence of God.Keywords: Ibn Rusyd, Argumentation, God
