Abstract

Abstract

Learning is a necessity and plays an important role because human beings are born weak who do not know and cannot do anything; they only have physical and spiritual potential (QS. al-Naḥl [16]: 78). Therefore, human beings are affected by how they are learning in which reason is the most vital element in their learning processes. A number of learning theories have been produced due to the urgency of learning which are categorized into two paradigms: the West and the East (Islam). This article attempts to examine comparatively the two perspectives of learning theories and their influence on Islamic education in particular. This article argues that even though Western learning theories have different orientations from that of Islam, Muslims still adopt those theories uncritically, even in Islam based universities which are still applying conventional learning theories. Keywords: Teori Belajar, Barat, Islam

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the heterogeneous countries and has various diversity of language, ethnicity, tradition, and religion. Religious differences in some cases are very vulnerable to confl icts such as those that have happened in Poso and Ambon. However, religious differences will not necessarily lead to religious confl icts if it is the case in Plumbon, Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. In the region, there are three different religions: Islam, Hinduism, Christianity and Catholicism. Nevertheless, they can live in harmony in these differences. Religious harmony in Banguntapan is formed through an interactive dialogue framed in celebrations, traditions and religious ceremonies. Each Religion is a religious ceremony. The celebration or ceremony serves as a means of dialogue by participating in it as a form of appreciation of other religions as well as supporting and conditioning the situation of celebration. On the other hand, supports are also in the form of fi nancial, moral and efforts to fi nd synergy or balance among religious people. The uniqueness in Banguntapan village is in the tradition of religious ceremonies that local people consider highly sensitive to interfaith ritual activities. Abstract

Kompilasi Hukum Islam does not regulate interfaith inheritance distinctly. It only requires the testator and the heirs have the same religion. At court, judges of religious courts employ obligatory bequest (wa?iat w?jibah) to divide inheritance to non-Muslim heirs, based on jurisprudence of the Supreme Court Number 368 K/AG/1995. As the result, different faith still become hindrance for Muslim and non-Muslim to inherit each other due to law enforcement without considering the legal reasoning (ratio legis) of the law. In this case, it is important to investigate the legal reason (ratio legis) of the hadith that prohibits the interfaith inheritance as this article tries to do. To do the investigation, the author employs Islamic legal theories (u??l fikih) and hermeneutics approach. As the result, the author comes to the conclusion that the ratio legis of the hadith that prohibits the interfaith inheritance is due to hostility and crime element and not due to different faith. Abstract

Various opinions or atheist ideals are displayed, which assume that the world already exists by itself. As the world is a tirelessly moving machine that has no beginning and no end. That is what has given an assumption that the universe does not have a creator or maintainer so that the term God does not apply in his thoughts and beliefs. This research is library research (Library Research), so that the type of qualitative research. The data source was obtained from Ibn Rusyd?s primary data source, Al-Kasyf? Man?hij al-Adillat fi ?Aqaid al Millat Tahafut at Tahafut and fash al Maqal, the data collection methods used in this study were the deductive, comparative and hermeneutic methods. This research concludes, Ibnu Rusyd proved the existence of God by proposing no propositions, namely the Dalil al Inayah (providence of God), Dalil al-Ikhtira (the proposition of creation), and Dalil al Harakah (the proposition of motion). We witness that everything that has no sense, like for example, natural body, towards the end. The analysis obtained in proving the existence of God by Ibnu Rusyd is acknowledging the existence of God. Their intellect and revelation become the source of knowledge and tools to achieve truth, especially in proving the existence of God. Then his philosophical thought patterns indirectly influenced more by the philosophy of Aristotle. He succeeded in reconciling the world of philosophy with the world of Theology and through his cosmological arguments, has proven the existence of God.Keywords: Ibn Rusyd, Argumentation, God
