Abstract

Background: Under Weight is a health problem that occurs in developing countries like Indonesia. The prevalence of malnutrition nationally as much as 19.6%. The prevalence of under weight in Central Java 18% and in CHC Ngawen 14.8%.Objective: To describe the effect of nutritional assistance based on affect of mothers knowledge and feeding practices for children under weight 6-24 months age in CHC of Ngawen Blora.Methods: There was a quasi-experimental design pre and post test control group gesign with 38 samples. The intervention group received nutrition assistance for 1 month with 3 sessions (intensive, reinforcement, self). Data analysis used Annova Repeated Measure.Results: The average knowledge of the mother before and after assistance, was 78.0 and 89.26. The average of feeding practice before and after assistance was 70.62 and 85.6.Conclusion: There were differences in the knowledge scores of mothers and provision of complementary feeding practices between the control and intervention groups after being given assistance (p=0.094 and p = 0.073). Research for the effect of nutrition assistance program should be implemented to the nutritional status of children 6-24 months ages malnutrition

Abstract

Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a protection program for a period of months or years. CKD patients who do the required HD, the amount of medication and normal sodium intake that are not working normally. Fluid and sodium intakes are one of the factors needed in the management of kidney failure to prevent complications due to edema, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease.Objective: To find out nutritional counseling on knowledge and sodium intake in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients (CKD) who underwent Hemodialysis at Roemani Hospital Semarang.Method: This study included a quasi experimental study with a Non Randomized Pretest Posttest Control Group research design. Sampling was 15 people in the treatment group and 15 people control group. Interventions provided include nutritional counseling with pocket book media. intake data collection was taken by interview using SQ-FFQ and knowledge data was taken by questionnaire. Results with paired t-test and independent t-test with a significance level of 0.05.Result: There is an effect of nutritional counseling with the media of pocket books on knowledge and sodium intake. Knowledge of respondents in the intervention group increased 22.33 and decreased sodium intake by 77.4. Conclusion: The provision of nutritional counseling using an influential pocket book increases knowledge and lowers intake compared to just giving a pocket book

Abstract

Background: Average food waste in hypertensive patients who underwent inpatient in RSUD dr R Goeteng is 50%, it shows that intake of hypertensive patient is still less. The above problems can be solved one of them by modification of salt so that.Objective: To know the difference of energy sufficiency level, protein, fat, carbohydrate, blood pressure of sistole and diastole before and after given modification of salt in hypertension patient in RSUD dr. R Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga.Methods: Experimental research with posttest only control group design. The subjects of this study were hypertensive patients, amounting to 30 patients divided into 2 groups: 15 control groups and 15 treatment groups. Method of data retrieval is by looking at the remaining food of patients to calculate the level of adequacy of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate. Modification of salt given for 3 days.Results:. There were differences in salt modification to the level of energy sufficiency (P = 0.042), protein adequacy (p = 0.02), fat sufficiency rate (p = 0.018), carbohydrate adequacy (p = 0.033), systole blood pressure p = 0.037), blood pressureConclusion: Salt modification is a factor that affects the sufficiency level of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate, sistole blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients in RSUD dr R Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga.

Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by higher blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) caused by impaired insulin secretion, and insulin resistance or both. Diabetes mellitus in Semarang City in 2018 is the second non-communicable disease after hypertension with a total og 47248 cases. Kedungmundu Public Health Care is one of largest Public Health Care with cases of diabetes mellitus in Semarang City with a total 0f 3165 cases.Objective : The purpose of this study to determine the effect of education four pillars management type 2 diabates mellitus with WhatsApp social media apllication-based on education of knowledge, attiudes and behavior of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Prolanist participants atKedungmundu Public Health Care.Method : This research method using quasi-experimental pre - post test with control group design. The number of respondentwas 27 controls and 25 treatments. Data collected were knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The test used to determine the interaction between variables is the Wilcoxon test and paired T-test with 95% confidence level.Results : There is the influence of  WhatsApp social media apllication-based on education of knowledge, attiudes and behavior (p value = 0.000).Conclusion : Providingeducation of four pillars management diabetes type 2 with WhatsApp media effective to improve knowledge, attitudes, and behavior prolanist participants.

Abstract

Background : Obesity in adolescence associated with the incidence of metabolic syndrome. The metabolic syndrome is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by high blood pressure, high fasting blood glucose, high triglycerides, low HDL and central obesity. An increasing number of metabolic syndrome in line with the increase in the number of obesity. Based on RISKESDAS 2013 increased the proportion of central obesity from 2007 to 2013 by 18.8% to 26.6%. The prevalence of central obesity in Semarang 21.5%.Aim : Knowing the relationship among intake with waist circumference, fasting blood glucose level and blood pressure in obese adolescents in SMAN 9 Semarang.Method : This study was an observational study with cross-sectional design. Sampling was conducted randomized to receive 47 samples. The data collected is macro nutrients intake factors with 24 hours recall method, weight, height, waist circumference, fasting blood glucose level and blood pressure. Data was collected by the method of anthropometry; interviews, blood pressure measurement and fasting blood glucose level measurement. The correlations test using linear regression.Results: There is a correlation between intake with waist circumference (p 0.046 0.05) with a moderate relationship (R = 0.454) and contributed 20.6%, there is a correlation between intake with fasting blood glucose level (0.039 p 0.05) with the level of relationship is (R = 0.448) and contributed 20.1%, there is a correlation between intake with systolic blood pressure (p 0.004 0.05) with a strong correlation (R = 0.556) and contributed 30.6%, and there is no correlation between intake factor with diastolic blood pressure (p 0.113 0.05) and contributed 16.3%.Conclusion: There is a correlation among intake with waist circumference, fasting blood glucose level and systolic blood pressure. There is no correlation between intake with diastolic blood pressure.

Abstract

Background : Women are two times have hypercholesterolemia 14.5% after menopause due to blood cholesterol levels increase because of the hormone estrogen is not formed. Drugs can be used to reduce cholesterol levels, but using drugs to reduce cholesterol levels have side effects. An alternative way that can be used in preventing a long-term increase in blood cholesterol levels and to reduce the dosage of drugs use is by using natural ingredients such as red guava fruit and tomatoes.Objective : This research aim to know the effectiveness of tomato juice and red guava juice on total cholesterol in overweight women.Method : This research was a clinical nutrition research. Type of research was true experiment research and study design was randomized pre-and post-test control group design. The tomato and red guava juice consist of  300 grams of tomatoes and red guavas, was given for 21 days to 22 respondents (11 treatments and 11 controls).In the treatment group there was lowering in total blood cholesterol and the control group with an increase in blood cholesterol levels.Result : Total Blood Cholesterol influenced by the lycopene intake and a decrease in total blood cholesterol levels in the treatment and control groups (p 0.05).Conclusion : 250 ml of tomato juice and red guava juice was given everyday within 3 weeks could reduce total cholesterol 3,01 mg/dl clinically, but not significant statistically.

Abstract

Background: The cutted fruit one example of minimalist processed product. This product is categorized as a high risk product because it processed minimally and  did not through heat contact.Objective: To determine the effect of the ozonation process on total bacteria, stability of vitamin C, and the texture of minimally processing melon fruit Bonasari Chatering, Pedurungan, Semarang. Methods: This study was an experimental study with a complete  randomize design (CRD), total was 12 samples with 4 repetitions. Data collected in the form of texture measured by a penetrometer, vitamin C levels with iodometry method, and total bacteria by TPC method. Result: Texture of cutted melon which influenced by ozone gas treatment (42.0 ± 7.21) p = 0.614, for the highest level of vitamin C also in the treatment of ozone gas (36.080 ± 6.47) p = 0.560 and for the lowest total bacteria with ozone gas treatment, 3,6,105. Conclusion: There is no effect of the ozonation process on total bacteria, stability of vitamin C, and texture of minimally processing melon fruit at Bonasari Chatering, Pedurungan, Semarang.

Abstract

Background: Several factors cause obesity in adolescence are the lack of consumption of vegetables, fruits and excessive consumption of fast food. Nutrition counseling about benefits of vegetables, fruits and the impact of fast food on obesity is an effort that would be increase consumption of vegetables, fruits and reduce consumption of fast food.Objective: To determine the effect of counseling with booklet media on consumption of vegetables, fruits and fast food in obese adolescents at SMP N 40 Semarang.Method: The type of research is a true experiment with randomized pre and post test control group design. The research subjects consisted of 15 intervention samples who took nutrition counseling treatment with booklet media and 15 control samples were only given booklet media without nutritional counseling. The data was analysed by Independent T Test and Mann Whitney.Results: Nutrition counseling with booklet increased vegetable consumption (0,37 portion) and decreased fast food consumption (1,09 portion) but the result were not significant in the statistical test (p 0.05). However, nutrition counseling with booklet significantly (p 0.05) increased fruit consumption (0,63 portion).Conclusion: Nutrition counseling with booklet increased consumption of vegetables and fruits, and also reduce consumption of fast food.

Abstract

Background  : The main nutritional problem that many teenagers experience is Anemia. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts about 27% of female adolescents in developing countries suffer from anemia. anemia in adolescents can be caused by several things such as teenagers' knowledge and attitudes to anemia. The provision of nutritional education is expected to increase student knowledge and attitudes about nutrition in anemia, especially for female students.Objective  :  The aims to Knowing effect of Providing Nutrition Education on Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding Anemia in students SMP N 31 Semarang.Method  : This study uses the True Experiment method design with a mixture of pre test post test control group design. The sample consisted of 27 treatment groups and 27 control groups. The data collected were data on knowledge and attitudes regarding anemia nutrition. The data explorer uses a questionnaire that was filled in by the respondent himself. Data analysis using Man Whitney test, Independent T Test and Anova Repeater measure.Result  : There was an effect of providing nutrition education on female students 'knowledge of anemia (p = 0,000) and there was an influence on the provision of nutrition education on female students' attitudes about anemia (p = 0,000).Conclusion  : The provision of nutritional education affects the knowledge and attitudes about anemia in Semarang City 31 Junior High School Students.

Abstract

Background : Satisfaction of patients is one of success indicator of hospital food management that influence the nutritional adequacy of patients. The satisfaction of patients  can be seen from the taste, punctuality of distribution, waiter hospitality and the cleanliness of tools. The other quality indicators of nutrition services is leftovers.Objectives : Reviewing the relationship of the satisfaction of food and rest service satisfaction with nutritional success in class III patients in the Roemani Hospital of Muhammadiyah Semarang.Method : This study is descriptive analytic study by using cross sectional design. The taking of sample was done by concecutive sampling and it was gotten with 30 samples. The data collection was done by interview used the questionnaire guide of the satisfaction of hospital food, recall 24 hours to know the outside intake of hospital, weighing and observation of leftovers, also counting the nutritional adequacy by comparing nutritional intake from food and nutrinionl adequacy. The data was prosseced by chi square test.Results : The subject have good perception to the food service of hospital as much as 63,3%, leftovers beetween 56,7%, and nutritional adequacy  as much as 96,7%. Conclusion : There is no urgent relation beetween satisfaction based on food service and leftovers to nutritional adequacy level.
