Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the service quality of Bombana Regional Water Company, state-owned company that facilitates and meets the needs of clean water for Bombana regency community. The problems of this research are 1) Water Pipe Channels that minimize water flow outflow and poor water quality due to brown and sandy, 2) lack of responsiveness of PDAM in overcoming problems, 3) PDAM lack social networking and social media that match the lack of information that customers get. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive approach. Indicators in public service are Tangibles, Reability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Emphaty. The result of this research is that Regional Water Company Bombana Regency still needs to be improved in terms of things and services, facilities and infrastructure that are still available and services that are still less satisfactory in the service.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the principle of transparency in public services at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Kendari City. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of the principle of transparency in public services at the Kendari City Population and Civil Registry Service is generally good which includes 5 indicators, namely procedures, officers or authorized officials, service promises, reliability, and responsiveness. although there are still 3 indicators that are missing. satisfying namely belief, empathy, and tangibility. In addition, public services at the Kendari City Population and Civil Registration Service are still not optimal, especially the problem of timeliness.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the application of management information systems in improving the quality of administrative services at the PT. TASPEN (Persero) Branch Kendari with the research method used is descriptive qualitative, a description of the results of observations, interviews, and documentation studies, the data that has been obtained will be analyzed qualitatively and described in descriptive form. The results of the study aim that the Application of Management Information Systems in the PT. TASPEN (Persero) Kendari Branch Is Not Effective Enough, the hardware dimensions of the program have been well implemented, the dimensions of the software program have been implemented quite well, the database dimensions of the program have not been maximized, the dimensions of this program procedure have been implemented quite well, then the dimensions of program officers have been implemented. Well done. Quality of Administration Services in the Office of PT. TASPEN (Persero) Kendari Branch is not good enough, the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, attention have been carried out well, while the dimensions of this physical evidence are not good enough.

Abstract

This research aims to study the factors affecting the communication behavior of Bajo Tribe with mainland community in floating village of Mawasangka District, Buton Regency in South-East Sulawesi Province. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method consisting of 20 informants. They were 10 informants taken from Bajo tribe and 10 others were taken from mainland community. The data were obtained through participative observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The result show that community behavior of Bajo tribe with mainland community is based on customs and traditions and the needs related to their activities as fishermen. In general, community behavior of Bajo tribe is based on to what extent the strength and weakness of social interaction with mainland community. The stronger their interaction with mainland community , the bigger opportunity the occurrence of new communication behavior which is identical to mainland community. Meanwhile,  the factors affecting the communication behavior of Bajo tribe in doing interaction with mainland community are education level, life patterns (kinship system, residence pattern, and marriage interactions (cooperation, accommodation, and assimilation).

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the coordination function of official staff and the factors that influence coordination at the Buton Regency Transmigration Service. Data collection techniques used in this study are by means of library research and field research using observations (observation), interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of the coordination function is quite well done where in the completion of an activity it has run optimally in accordance with what has been planned and in accordance with the main tasks that have been determined and the factors that affect coordination can be adjusted to the activities that occur in the transmigration office which makes every existing activity can be carried out quite well even though there are still obstacles that occur

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interpersonal communication on the work ethic of employees at the Kendari City Regional Secretariat Office. The population in this study were 498 employees at the Regional Secretariat Office of Kendari City. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling with a sample size of 84 respondents. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The results in this study indicate that interpersonal communication consists of dimensions of 1) openness, 2) empathy, 3) support, 4) positivity, 5) equality, which have a significant effect on work ethic. Then based on the results of the analysis of the influence of interpersonal communication on the work ethic of employees at the Regional Secretariat Office of Kendari City, it shows that the effect of interpersonal communication is 45,8% and the remaining 54,2% is caused by other factors. Then the dimension of interpersonal communication at the Kendari City Regional Secretariat Office which gives the highest reflection to the work ethic of employees is the dimension of quality. Meanwhile, the dimension of interpersonal communication at the Kendari City Regional Secretariat Office which gives the lowest reflection to the work ethic of employees is the dimension of openness.

Abstract

This study aims to dertermine to identify describe the role of administrastion in improving the perfoermance of civil servants at the Buton regency Transmigrations Office. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method, white data collection technique was carried out by means of library research and field research using interview and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the role of administration in improving the performance of the Civil Servants of the Buton Regency Transmigration Service has improved considerably because the duties, functions and roles of administration in the Buton Regency transmigration service have been running optimally in accordance with the programs and main tasks and functions that have been determined and the Improvement of Civil Servant Performance The Civil Service of Transmigration in Buton Regency has not improved enough because of limited human resources and employees who do not have the will to change to improve their performance and they do not fully know their function.

Abstract

The archive arrangement system is a process of systematically arranging files or archives to facilitate re-discovery whenever needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the archival structuring system to support the smooth running of public services at the Head Office of Poasia, Kendari City. This research approach is qualitative. The data collection techniques used were documentation and interviews, the informants of this study were 3 people. The results of this study indicate that the archive arrangement system at the sub-district office of Poasia applies by date and by subject matter. Existing services at the Poasia Sub-district Office are Deed of Sale and Purchase of Land, Making Business Permits and Receiving Letters.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of education and training on the work productivity of employees at the Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. This is to determine the role of employee work productivity in the Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Data collection techniques that the authors use in this study are interviews, documentation studies, and observations. The analysis techniques that I use in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Based on the results of the study, it is known that education and training have been carried out at the office of the Central Statistics Agency of Southeast Sulawesi Province and education and training have shown a very important role in increasing employee productivity, but there are still those who think that education and training play a less role because the material provided in education and training It is different from the main tasks and functions in the office and education and training are held in separate locations, this causes ineffective time and the material provided is theoretical and practical value is lacking, so there is a lack of conformity between material needs and actual conditions. The work productivity of employees at the Central Statistics Agency of Southeast Sulawesi Province is said to be very good. Work productivity is said to be very good because in its implementation, activities are carried out based on the ability, morale of an employee and work productivity is said to be poor because employees still need work guidance from the organization.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of employee promotion at the Department of Education and Culture of North Kolaka Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach that will describe in general about the problems studied, namely about the implementation of employee promotions in the Education and Culture office of North Kolaka Regency. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that, in general, the implementation of employee promotions at the Education and Culture Office of North Kolaka Regency, the fulfillment of promotion requirements has mostly been implemented well. This can be seen in terms of the quality of education. On the other hand, employee promotion is not carried out on predetermined conditions because there are still many employees who are promoted who have low work experience. Sometimes the employee's discipline to be promoted is not appropriate. Likewise, in terms of promotions based on work performance appraisals, there are still employees who have a low work performance assessment but are included in employee promotions. This means that the implementation of employee promotions is not in accordance with established procedures.
