Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine relationship between equity theory and work outcomes ineducational staff’s context. To operationalize these constructs, equity theory was measured by threedimensions of organizational justice, namely procedural, interactional and distributive justice, whileorganizational outcome was measured by job satisfaction. The result of study shows that all dimensionsof organizational justice have significant effect to job satisfaction. Conclusion about relationship betweenequity theory and work outcomes and recommendations for future research also discussed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to confirm wether the dimensions of top management commitment, costumer focus, benchmarking, training, and employee focus can perform TQM practices variables and to analyze the influences of the perceived service quality to costumersatisfaction. The PLS output shows that TQM practices construct is performed by the dimensionsof top management commitment, costumer focus, benchmarking, training, and employee focus.The other finding is that the perceived service quality influences positively to customer satisfaction.

Customer loyalty has been recognized as the dominant factor in a business organizations success.Therefore it has received considerable attention in both marketing and management theory and practice.This article describes factors that determine customer loyalty and explores the essential strategic considerations for companies contemplating the development of loyalty initiatives. Abstract

The intention of this research are to analyze Small and Medium Enterprises’ export barriers in Solo Raya (Surakarta, Boyolali, Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Sragen, Klaten) and to prove that all indicators which are knowledge barriers, resources barriers, procedurs barriers and exogenous barrier support export barriers as its construct. This research provides a measurement tool for the next export barriers research as wellThis study combines questioner’s statements  that were developed by researchers from  previous studies in European countries and export obstacle expressions suggested by Indonesian’s expert. Using Small and Medium Enterprises in Solo Raya region as its respondent sample, and we can collect 400 respondent of SME.  There was no such researches in Indonesia before, thus this is the first study using export barrier’s questioner. That’s why Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is used to provide all construct variables and their indicators become acceptable as a measurement tool for this kind of research. When the researcher run the data using SEM, it showed that construct variables can  support the model. In other words, the model does fit the datas. Except for the exogenous barriers that don’t have significant influence to other two barrier which are resources and procedures.

Abstract

Since the early Islamic period zakat on agriculture sectors were being collected limitedonly on primary traditional sources such as paddy, wheat, camel, cow and goat. However in themodern time today agriculture sector has been commercialized. Farmers regardless of theiractivities, were capable of yielding good returns probably higher than the traditional sourc es ofzakat. The question is, are these farmers not obliged to pay zakat and what is the possibility ofwidening zakat base on agriculture sector. In this regards this study attempts to examine thepossibilities of widening agriculture zakat base, and then evaluating people perception andanalyzing the challenges. This study utilizes primary data for Malaysia and uses descriptiveanalysis and logit model in analyzing the data. The results show that based on income criteriathere are possibilities to extend agriculture zakat base and this step is expected to received goodresponse from the society. However there are challenges to be faced such as identifying theillah for zakat on uncensunsus wealth and determining the procedure for calculating zakat onagriculture sector since different types of plants possess different characteristics. Policyimplication that can be deduced from this study is that in order to hinder any difficulties there isa need for the government to establishing a separate law for zakat on agriculture sector.

Abstract

Sistem governance yang mencakup governance structure dan governance mechanism di atas hendaknya mengacu pada penerapan prinsip-prinsip tata kelola, yaitu: transparansi, akuntabilitas, responsibilitas, dan kewajaran/keadilan. Semua elemen yang tercakup dalam governance structure dan governance mechanism merupakan bagian dari Internal Forces.  Sedangkan External Forces terdiri dari: kerangka hukum, peraturan pemerintah dan lingkungan bisnis. Terbentuknya GCG akan dapat dicapai apabila perusahaan memiliki governance structure yang jelas dengan manajemen yang transparan, dan akuntabel dalam mengelola perusahaannya. Adanya aturan main yang jelas dan laporan yang dapat dipertanggung-jawabkan, akan mempermudah stakeholders melakukan pemantauan dan pengendalian terhadap manajemen. Keadilan (fairness) merupakan ukuran normatif yang sering dikaitkan dengan GCG atau untuk membedakan antara Corporate Governance yang baik dan tidak.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine what are the factors that led to the use ofpirated software among students. To determine the relationship of using pirated software amongstudents views by consumer characteristics included age, sex, and spending each month.Thepopulation in this study were students who use pirated software. Sampling was done with accidentalSampling. Samples taken in this study were students who use pirated software or software thathappens to be found in the current study sample and the samples taken in this study as many as100 people. Since this amount exceeded the minimum sample of 96 people. Based on data analysishas been done, the writer can conclude: Factors attitude and motivation factors are factors thatinfluence the use of pirated software among students who are able to explain 30,189% and 18,416%.For variable attitudes by age and sex have nothing to do with piracy committed by students. If byspending a month it has to do with piracy committed among students. For motivation variablebased on the characteristics of age and sex have nothing to do with piracy committed by students.If based on the characteristics of spending per month it has to do with piracy committed amongstudents.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of intellectual capital on the market value of the companys financial performance as an intervening variable in corporate banking and financial institutions. This study used a -Pulic Value Added Intellectual Coefficients (VAICTM) model to examine the relationship between intellectual capital and the market value of the companys financial performance. The market value is measured by the price to book value (PBV), the companys financial performance is measured by return on equity (ROE). The samples used in this study is the banking companies and financial institutions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on 2008-2012. Data obtained 274 samples. This study used linear regression to analyze the data and path analysis to determine the effect of mediation. The results showed that intellectual capital had positive effect on the market value of the company, a positive financial performance, and financial performance may mediate the relationship between intellectual capital with the market value of the company.

Abstract

This seminal article discusses the basic concept of succession planning in family business. Family business succession has been a central subject in fsmily business research since it only has smallsatisfaction number of generation shifts. Succession planning is a long term process, consist of sequential activities to set up and make certain family business sustainability through generation shift. There are two medels of succession management process; first, succession anagement process based on corporation activities held by Aon Consulting Group Forum (2003), and second, succession management process based on treatment to successor proposed by Scarborough &Zimmerer (2006). Succession performers in business family arepredecessors, successors, and siblings. The succession planning activities consist of four categories; successor selection and training, postsuccession business strategy, the role of predesessor at post succession, and the dissemination of succession result informati on to stakeholders.Finally, the conceptual model of succession planning in family business was developed .
