Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the production and efficiency of pepper farming allocations. This research was carried out in Ameroro Village, Tinondo District, East Kolaka Regency, where the location was determined deliberately. This technique takes research samples using simple random sampling and is calculated using the Slovin formula. The number of respondents obtained was 60 households. This research was conducted from December 2018 to April 2019. The type of data analysis used is multiple linear regression and allocation efficiency. The model used is the relationship between the cobb-Douglas production function. The results of this study use simultaneous or together (F test). There is a significant effect on pepper production. With an adjusted R2 value of 0.799. This shows that at 79.9%, pepper production is influenced by land areas (X1), labor (X2), phonska fertilizer (X3), and pesticides (X4). The tukey test shows that the factors of production of land areas, labor, phska fertilizer, and pesticides are very influential on the increase in pepper production. Based on the results of the analysis of the efficiency of production factors: NPMx/Pxis greater than 1, which means it is ineffective, so an increase in the input is needed to produce a more massive output.

Abstract

The research was conducted to know influence of extruded and fermented soybean pulp in commercial feed on feed conversion, feed cost per gain and income over feed cost. The research use 60 day old chick of broilers which were devided into 4 treatments, that is 1) were given commercial feed without substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp (T-0), 2) were given commercial feed with substitution of extruded soybean pulp as much as 5% (T-1), and 3) were given commercial feed with substitution of fermented soybean pulp as much as 5% (T-2). The variables observed is feed conversion, feed cost per gain, and income over feed cost. The result showed that given commercial feed with substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp can decrease of feed conversion and feed cost per gain but increase of income over feed cost. Feed conversion is 2.51 (T-0), 2.27 (T-1), and 2.32 (T-2), feed cost per gain Rp. 20.080,- (T-0), Rp. 17.473,33,- (T-1) and Rp. 17.878,50,-/kg (T-2), and Income over feed cost Rp. 4.223,20,- (T-0), Rp. 6.897,85,- (T-1) and Rp. 7.223,15,-/kg (T-2). Research conclusion is substitution of extruded and fermented soybean pulp in commercial feed can decrease of feed conversion and feed cost per gain but increase of income over feed cost.

Abstract

This study aims to determine feasibility of broiler production based on local food with variations in calcium and phosphorus; and knowing difference feasibility of the business it gets. This research was conducted at farmer's cage in Sasi Village, Kefamenanu for 2 months (July-August, 2020). A total of 96 broiler day old chick (DOC) were used in this study. Research was conducted with an experimental method using a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication consisted of 6 broiler chickens aged 1 day. Parameters observed were body weight, feed cost efficiency, sales price, and business feasibility. Data on body weight, feed cost and selling price of chickens were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (Anova) and Duncan's test, while business feasibility was analyzed by using B / C ratio. The results showed that the highest body weight, feed cost and selling price were found in P3. There is a feed cost efficiency at P3 and P2 compared to P1 and P0 (P <0.05), and highest revenue is at P3. Treatment with 2.0% calcium and 0.5% phosphorus (P3) supplementation be a highest economic feasibility. In addition, variation in treatment provides a significant difference in cost and selling value. Use of local feed of yellow maize and bran with calcium and phosphorus supplementation could reduce costs of broiler production.
